Try, Try Again!

My name is Jessie. I am 24 years old and just went back over the 200 line to 202 after being down to 194 for a few months. The holidays and a lack of motivation were a killer.

I was on here for quite a while about a year/year and a half ago. Now I need to find my motivation once again. Well, I have some type of motivation...

I am getting married in 6 months... July 24, 2010 to be exact. I need to lose at least 10 pounds in order to guarantee that I fit into my dress! I know I can do it... I just need some support and that is why I came back here.

I need your help, motivation, and friendly shoves to get my a** back in gear!

My short term goal is a 10 pound loss. Long term I would like to loose about 45-50 pounds total.

I had a gym membership this past year that has now expired and due to financial difficulties I cannot renew. So, I'm doing this at home. Time to put my self-motivation to the test.

Time to kick butt and lose the gut!

6 months and 10 pounds? It can be done! :) There's a TON of stuff ya can do at home without a gym pass. Youtube some exercise videos to get yourself started.. they've got some surprisingly good stuff on there. Congrats on the soon to be wedding, also :)

Woke up this morning and had a healthy breakfast. Then I did one of my workout videos. My day is off to a productive start and I'm hoping I can keep the good choices flowing...

Congrats on getting engaged! I bet you'll look beautiful in your dress!! And 10lbs can defo be done in 10 months!! GOOD LUCK!

Congrats on the engagement. You can do it :) Can you run outside? Or is it too cold?

It is warm enough to run, but I've never been able to run. My chest burns after about 3 minutes. I do much better with aerobic videos, treadmills, and ellipticals.

I've done good the past few days. I even went out to lunch today! We went to Applebee's and I tried one of the under 550 calories meals. The asiago peppercorn steak was yummy!

I did one of my hip hop abs videos today also, so I got a small workout in.

I'm excited that I've been drinking so much more water than I used to. I've eliminated the diet soda from my diet that I've always relied on. Figured even diet soda isn't the very best for me. I'm staying motivated for now. Kind of wish I had a workout buddy. My fiance tries but we work such opposite schedules that we can't seem to find a time when we are both available.

6 months from today is the wedding. I'm so excited! I can't wait to say I do to my man!

Yey for a wedding! I wish I was getting married... I was never one to dream about white dresses, but a couple of years into the relationship with my boyfriend I started to want to do it. He doesn't though, he is stupid ;).
In any case I am totally rooting for those 50 pounds, and if you don't go all the way, 30 is still ok and means 5 pounds a month which is more than doable! So here is to a beautiful bride!
Have a great week, Camy

I've been doing well with watching what I eat and being concious of my calories. This week was report card week and most teachers know that it is a crazy time. I slacked a bit on the working out and took 3 days off, but I jumped right back into it yesterday and plan to get my butt moving here in a few minutes.

I plan to weigh in tomorrow. I weigh myself weekly on Saturdays so as not to drive myself totally insane. I used to be a constant scale checker and that was not healthy for me. Hopefully I will see a move in a good direction!

Hope everyone else is doing well! Keep up all the good and motivating work!

Jessie,

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!! :hurray: You'll lose 10lbs before you know it!! I ordered my dress a size too small on purpose to make sure I stuck to my diet lol...I knew that I'd met it but I was still stressed out to no end that it wouldn't fit right. xD

I am rooting for a great weigh in, but if it isn't... it is not the end of the world. Just shake it off and today starts the rest of your life.

Numbers are in... I am officially 194.5 pounds according to my scale. That is a 3 pound loss from the 197.5 I was at this exact time last Saturday.

I lost 3 pounds this week! That makes me soooooo happy! I don't feel hungry and I'm not doing insane workouts, just being more active.

I'm just so thrilled to see movement in a positive direction. YAY! That motivates me to continue on the same track this coming week! Woohoo!

Told you I was rooting for you so here it goes:
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO TO 3 POUNDS!!!

That is huge, next week you could be down 10 pounds girl, and then you will have to change your ticker to include some more pounds! You rock girlie!
Have the weekend you deserve, Camy

I went over in calories because we went to Pizza Hut for dinner and its one of my very favorites. We haven't been out to eat in quite some time, so it was nice one on one time with my man.

I did a Fat Burning Yoga dvd this morning and had a healthy breakfast and lunch, so all in all it wasn't a total loss of a day. As long as I don't snack tonight I should not lose my momentum.

We have a snow day tomorrow which means I should get in a good workout and eat healthy without much difficulty. I'm just so happy to be making the progress that I am that I don't want to derail myself for any reason.

I really want to do it this time... I want to see numbers that I have never seen in my adult life. I want to fit into something smaller than a 16 since the first time since before high school. I want to do this to be a healthier and happier me. This is not just for my wedding. It's time to do something for me.

Didn't lose anything but didn't gain anything this week either. I'm dead even at 194.5 again this week.

Today was a rough day for food... went to a pizza buffet for lunch and ate probably 2 or 3 days worth of calories... puke! Also had movie theater popcorn with butter at the movie we went to tonight... oops!

It's only one day though... I'll be right back on track tomorrow. Can't let a rough scale week and a day of binging throw me off course.

Here's to a better week!
