Trusylver's Maintenance and Training Log

thanks Jess, I buy casks of drinking water (our tank water isnt real nice) and I have drunk over 1/2 of a 10 litre cask today

Pfft I have lost most of my interest in the current challenge because some people feel that "many members who are eating unhealthily low levels of calories" and "who are eating unhealthy diets" . Many of those members are doing the best that they can within their own personal set of circustances and knowledge. non constructive criticism benefits no one, criticism without viable alternate sugestions is also dumb.

Like jess I feel that this post may piss of the wrong people but I don't bloody care.

Squat Day

Squat
8@90, 6@110, 5@115
Hamstring Raises
3X8 @ BW+Vest+5 kg plate
Dynamic Deadlift (Sumo)
5X3@75 (form is improving, no wrist pain today, took a bit of skin off the shins :) )
Seated Calf Raises
3X8@60 kg
Cable Back Hyper extension on roman chair
3X10 @ 55

Felt realy good after this mornings session hit the shower for my Hot/Cold recovery routine, the cold realy does make a big difference to recovery but would be better if I had an ice plunge available.

Thats a lotttttta water. I used to buy the crap outta cases of water, but then I smartened up and bought a britta tank thingy for the fridge. LOVE it. THe only time I buy water now is when I forget my bottle at home or somethin... but I'm also lucky enuf to not have icky water, lol.

I applaud you for sticking with the challenge(at least I THINK you are, lol, I thought I had seen a post by you)! I have been in a lot of challenges over the years without ever having an issue; and in this case some of the people just rubbed me the wrong way every time they typed something.. I may be a big baby for quitting it, but whatevv. Also- as you've said, you have a nutritionist; HOPEFULLY she wouldn't steer you to disaster! Also, as long as you've been on here you've been a hard worker, always focusing on nutrition and fitness, much more so than myself(sad to say :( ) and I've always found your hard work to be inspirational. I know I say that pretty often, but its hard NOT to when you know its true. Keep inspiring ;)

water filters are good but they just don't filter the taste if tanin in the water and Despite having our tank cleaned recently the though of drinking water that may or may not have had contact with some of the animals you find around here is not nice lol a few days ago i seen a snake climb into one of the gutters, unusually it was a harmless one but I don't look forward to having to check the gutters and clean em out next.

A random thought just crossed my mind before logging off. The thought was that I may run a fitness based challenge, I will have to think about it a little more but this site isn't just about loosing weight but getting healthy. Like Jess I have been involved in a lot of challenges during my time on this forum and have asisted in running a challenge by looking after the online spreadsheet tracking. I will have to come up with a way of putting everybody on a level start position so results are based improvement rather than existing fitness levels. anyway, will think it over and posibly post in the challenges section when I have thought it through a bit more. if anybody reading this has any ideas or would be interested in something like this it would be nice to know because I get the feeling a lot of members avoid my journal because it can be a bit intense sometimes lol.

Wasn't to happy about having tuna again for tonights meal, wanted to cook up some liver but none of the butchers in town had any :( today. I did manage to get some OX tongue to cook in the slow cooker overnight, realy good cut of meat and low in fat.

I think this seems like a great idea! I know there are quite a few people on here who could possibly into this.

Hey Tru, it's so inspiring (and exhausting!) reading through what you do in your workouts. :) The challenge idea sounds great; I think you're onto something. Thanks for your encouragement in my journal... With Superwoman behind me, it's gonna be hard to lose in this game! :coolgleamA:

has been another hot day, spent the morning at the beach with the kids, eating has been low, need to get more calories in tonight but just not hungry

managed to bring calories up within range last night but the balance was of a bit, Today at the gym will be last day on 8 before training moves into the second phase with weights going up and reps going down.

I have prepared a spreadsheet in google docs in prep for the challenge I am thinking of running but still need to work out points for improved fitness levels in the basic fitness test I have devised for working out starting fitness level, to go with points for inches lost and exercise points. When I get that sorted I will be ready to post this in the challenge section and hope I am not makinge an arse of myself by choosing to run a challenge on my own.

I'd love some hot weather today! It's been cold and raining for a week! Ugh!!

Have a great weekend!! Hope you get to chill out! Pun intended. :sifone:

Thanks for dropping in MJ

It is almost 6am, will go and hit the bike for a bit of cardio shortly before the temps get above 30.

Tomorrow is Benchpress day and I am happy with my progress in this cycle, I am over 10 kg better than my last peaking cycle for the nationals at the same stage in my cycle, I am not quite on track for my 100 kg in comp but very close so I may not nail it at the next comp (states) but given that I will have another peaking cycle before the nationals again later in the year things are looking good especially as my weight is falling at a steady weight and looking good for making the lower weight division.

Down to 6s tomorrow, should be beginning to wear a loose shirts but like last time I only have a comp shirts so weights will remain RAW.

Nunchaku Wrist Exercises - good speed and control, no pain

Recovery Routine

Ice Shoulders as precaution

Felt strong today, comp prep going well

I see you're still crazy in the gym, even WITH a zallion degree heat to deal with :) You go girl. *snap snap* lollll.

LOL, yep it takes crazy dedication to be the best, that includes not eating the meringues that are almost ready in the oven.

as for the heat, it's fine at the gym so long as I get in there about 5:30 am

tomorrow is Australia Day so limited gym hour, will go for a run at 6 then get into the gym at 8 am for my squat session.
