girl I hear ya, i dont' get visitors in my diary either. I promise to visit here for now on!! Its not like back in the day though huh??? Do you remember how if your diary ended up on the dreaded "page 2" everyone was like "OMG! where are you???" you know?? lol the 1st page was the active diaries and page two was for slackers, lol now we have like, 100 pages, lol. Its a nice place, but its not the same...do you feel the same way??

lol, yep lots of new faces but less of a community. I get around to some of the new diaries but often they disapear after a few weeks. I am happy to answer questions on exercise and workouts but tend not to comment on food much as half the stuff some of the members eat i don't know what it is lol.

I have been through the weight loss but i am happy and healthy at a weight that is higher then a lot of starting weights but in a healthy bodyfat % range.

I don't know if the weights i lift or my workout intensity puts people off ? I have never been much of a people person (bit like my ASD kids). I can also be a bit blunt lol.

I am slowly picking up more sports medicine work, i believe the equivelent qualification in America is an Athletics Trainer, I am realy enjoying it. except last night when hubby broke his toe.

It also feels odd having strangers say hi in the street saying that they seen me in the newspaper etc.

I have my light bench press day and heavy triceps workout later.
 
I havn't written anything in here for 8 days and it has been even longer since i have had any visitors.

This is me being vocal about how I love reading your training log! Your workouts blow my mind - 100 full tricep push ups?? AWESOME. Truly inspirational! I'm a martial arts girl myself, not a weight/power lifter, but I just started weight lifting with a trainer and I'm hoping to amp it up a bit. She says it will help me to do plyometrics and weight training because it will increase my "explosive power" when it comes to strikes and sprints. I'll drink to that! Keep up the great work and please keep the updates coming!

it has taken a long tome to hit the 100 pushup mark with the tricep pushups, despite what weights i lift. my eldest son has got to do 80 i think for his next grading to brown belt. My husbands broken toe was from having a kick blocked and his sparing partners elbow impacting the toe OUCH

the weight training will help with the martial arts and my eldest does several specific exercises to help, including isolation work for his abductor muscles, an a lot of tricep work. pistol squats help with balance and strength.

it is the last day of term for the kids before 2 weeks of school holidays. Today is deadlift day and i need to drag myself into the gym, the hot spring weather is making me feel very lethargic. I have noticed an increase in my caffeine intake over the last couple of weeks so during the holidays I hope to bring my intake back down.

Your workout sounds really intense! I am having a problem with strength training. I just get really frustrated with myself, but it seems like you are able to handle it just fine! Jealous! :p
 
I had a skin full last night while watching the MIGHTY EELS defeat the titans in last nights game, I should have know better as alcohol slows recovery so i am a little sore today from yesterdays training session.

I have Sports Med duties at the local soccer Final this morning so at least I never suffer hangovers after a night on the piss.

GO THE MIGHTY EELS and Bring on the Dogs next week !!!!!!! then the Grand Final
 
It is a bit of a going nowhere day today, just feeling blah. it is 7am and i think i will take a walk to the closest store (8km) and visit a friend then get DH to pick me up in the car because it will be to hot to walk back. I expect the temp will be over 31 C again today with no breeze, no cloud and it was stinking hot yesterday.
 
Walk took about an hour (all hills) and hubby was so late arriving with the car i was just about to walk back.

today i have my monthly measurements taken at the gym and my eldest son is having a complete fitness test before hitting the weights for bench day.
 
measurements were stable but i had a slightly different warmup before training today.
A friends kids played with the lights in her truck and flattened the battery so warmum was pushing her truck so she could jump start it. Got the truck moving at a good pace so it started.

Bench Press

I am going to attempt a Bench Press PB next week by setting the bar at 100 kg (220 lb) current PB is 92.5 kg

Thanks for stoping by my diary it nice to have new face in there.

The amount of weight you can lift is amazing your max bench is way more than mine and I weigh way more than you.

My girl friend and I worked out at the gym last night and she wanted to try the bench for the first time so I started her out with just the bar we both did 6x5 then she wanted to see how much she could do she put up 65lbs with ease then 75lbs with a little trouble so she wanted to stop, you should have seen the smile on her face.

I only did a 3x5 of 135 because she was the only other person in the gym to spot.

Hey kick that 100 kg lift in tha ass next week.

It must be difficult dealing with autistic children. I have no experience but my little brother (who is now 17yrs old) is severly handicapped. He can't talk or walk or anything so I pretty much helped w/ him for a very long time. My little cousin (7yrs old) has down syndrome and he is a handfull! lol But he is so active and a sweetheart. (most of the time, haha)

Having 3 kiddos and doing the things you do can't be easy. Kudos to you!:patriot:

150lbs of lean mass at 5'2?! wow.

Like getfitnik - I too have a sister who is developmentally delayed. She has angelman's syndrome, or the "happy puppet syndrome" as it's commonly referred to. It's a tough job ... but that's a parents love :beating:

Standing Calf Raise 3 X 10 @ 200 kg
seated calf raise 3 X 10 @ 50 kg (need to work on this one a bit more bit wish the machine fitted better)

tomorrow is cardio day
 
Training got a bit off track today as the dust from the dust storms and smoke from fires have stirred up my asthma, there are more dust storms forcast :(

Go the EELS tonight, 1 game away from the Grand Final
 
ok i think i binged a little during the game on some chewy sweets that hubby had sitting on the table but at the moment i dont care, the EELS are in the Grand Final Wooo HOOO !!!!
 
ok saturday is usually a rest day so i don't feel to guilty about not training but the heat today is taking it's toll at 34 C (93.2 F) my apetite has deserted me, the only thing i have eated today is a caramel heaven ice cream and it is now almost 5 pm

checked the water tank today and we have less than 1/2 a tank left so i hope it rains soon otherwise we will need to buy in a tanker of water :(
 
I have been a little busy so havn't been recording in my journal as much as normal. training is moving along as normal and last night i was doing volunteer work as Sports Med for the relay for life (24 hour walk) wich is a cancer fund raiser. on tuesday i have a professional development workshop/seminar on athlete recovery, hydrotherapy and compression clothing which should be interesting
 
feeling some DOMS today after a heavy benchpress training session yesterday BUT just before training i spent time at the park with my youngest son and went across the monkey bars a few times, using my muscles in a slightly different way to my normal training :)
