had my fitness assesment this morning and i have dropped another 2% bodyfat down to 26% and gained another kilogram of muscle :D

also got my new gym workout from my trainer at the gym today

Warmup

Rowing Machine 5 minutes
Bike 10 minutes


Weights

Alternate Lunge with Bicep curl
an exercise on the cable machine not sure of the name ???? levers
Squats
ezy bar pullovers while using one of the exercise ball thingies (this was tough)
standing alternate DB presto curl
upright row
reverse grip pull downs
lying leg curls
bench dips
side hovers (and i thought normal hovers were hard)
leg lifts

i still plan to continue my gym workout 3 days a week with intervals and bike for cardio on the alternate days with one complete rest day

i will post my food later when i have finished eating
 
the results yesterday confirm i am moving in the right direction, but it feels so slow sometimes, even if it is just the muscle gains that make it look slow on the scales.

today i feel bloated and my quad muscles are rather sore, i hope that an easy workout on the bike this morning will get the blood flowing and ease some of the stiffness while getting rid of this bloat.

it has been a mixed day today, i still feel bloated and my muscles are still sore. Took my youngest son to the pediatrician today after he was refered by our GP for ADHD, well thing could have been better, ADHD plus an emotional anger problem combined with posible aspergers makes for one hard to handle little boy. he has been put on anti depressents to combat the anger problems to start with (he explodes like a bomb at the slightest trigger) then look at solutions for his other problems after the anger is under control :(

Food so far today

Breakfast: Tuna (2 tins)
Lunch: Chicken salad from mcdonalds (208 calories) and a small piece of caramel slice
Supper: Tuna

water: 1.5 litres
Exercize: 40 minues bike before breakfast on a lower setting then normal to get the blood flowing in my sore muscles

Also discovered i have come 2nd in an SEO contest that i had given up trying to win after the hassles getting paid for my win in the first stage of the contest, the money is a bonus if i get it but it is a boost to the ego to get second place in such a contest without putting in any real effort. perhaps i should have tried, considering 1st place was $1000 lol but i did only enter as a test of my skills.
 
i was just surfing the net to fill in some time intead of snacking and decided to do a vanity search on google for my username and discovered that i have 253 results in a google groups search dating back to Jan 1998 on usenet (i have been online since 1990) and 1510 results in a normal search (my user name is unique) i also done a vanity search for my real name but very few of those results are me but this search did bring up a bit of an ego boost when i discover that i still hold some individual broomball records after 10 years :D

including

highest number of MVP point in a season :D :D
i have dropped to No. 7 in the most penalty minutes in a season for a female list
No. 5 in the most games as captain list



this brings back great memories of when i was fit, i want to get my weight down and be that fit again and looking at records like this is a great motivator on a not so good day, i also wish i lived near an ice rink so i could play again.
 
That's great Tru! Broomball I'm not really sure what that is? I'm sure the name probably says it all. I used to play girls ice hockey when i was a teenager, my family are huge hockey fans (being Canadian and all).

honeychild, broomball is a Canadian sport similar to ice hockey but you run on the ice not skate and you use a ball not a puck and the stick is shaped like a straw broom with the straw pulled out but was originally played with real brooms. the rest of the rules and agresssion are mostly the same.
 
Wow. You're definitely a winner! That's for sure. It's neat to see how many things you have accomplished. I was never a competitive athlete. Sounds like fun. So were you a bruiser on the ice rink or what? haha. reminds me of roller durby.
 
MJ the only time i have ever been knocked unconcious was when i was driven head first into the boards but i usually gave as good as i got plus some so it evens out in the end. but i find looking at what i was able to do when i wasn't over weight is motivation to loose the weight now. I sometimes think i push myself to hard but i have a competitive nature when it comes to sport and just can't stop myself. away from the sports field i am much less competitive and more easy going.
 
I think it's great that you feel that way about sports. I wish I would have been more athletic and competitive. Now I feel to old and rickety. Things pop and grind in the joints now. Perhaps when I get in better shape some of that will get better.

Use it or lose it so they say! At least your body remembers what it's like to be in good shape. I'm sure it is helping a great deal that you were always so strong. I wish I could have watched some of your games, I bet it was great fun.
 
MJ i got my ticker from the same place but modified it myself to show both kg and pounds and hosted it on my own site. Australia uses metric for everything and i have trouble thinking in pounds, distance and height i am ok with in both systems.

Snack: 1 slice vintage cheese
Lunch: Tuna
snack: a small piece from a french bread stick, a sip of coke
Supper: None (went to have an afternoon nap and hubby didn't wake my up)

Water: only 1 litre
Exercize: none (walked around the shops for a bit)

after a bit of time spent playing around with my graphic editor i have change my ticker today to better reflect my goal of loosing fat not just weight. I want muscle Up and Fat Down which doesn't alway reflect on the scales.

i will post my food later.
