Trops Diary

I didn't make it to the gym, but I didn't pig out at the steak house, either. Weight was the same this morning. I did get pretty much all the Christmas shopping done, gift wise. I have to go to the grocery store, and get the food for next week, but other then that, all the shopping is done.

Tonight I'm hoping to knock out the Christmas cards. I've never been this far ahead of the game before. :auto:

One year I wanted to make a new years resolution I could stick to so I bought double xmas cards and did two for everyone but only sent one. I left the addies blank though just in case but had them all done ahead for the next year. And I also made a list and got everyone's bday and anniversary cards, father's and mother's day, filled them all out and put them in a file box by the month. Then each month I just grabbed a handful and put them in the mailbox. That was the only time I ever sent everyone cards and on time. Unfortunately I only did it once....it's spendy to buy that many cards at once so that was a deterrent after that, lol. I remember it cost me over $70. I may have to go back to my xmas card idea though and maybe just get bday cards only for the family I really like :D

I don't do Christmas cards and people know it lol... I used to get so many Christmas cards but, after years of not sending any out, I think people got sick of giving and not receiving lol... I have 2 cards on my wall right now.

Hey dear! Hope all is well. Thanks for all the support in my journal. You really make me laugh at times. :) Hope you have a great ugh... Christmas Eve Eve :)
p.s. i still havent wrapped a sinlge present yet...and I still have 2 or 3 more gifts to buy so good on you for being so far ahead!

All is well, thanks for stopping by. I've been here and there, but I have not made a real entry into my diary for some time. I went to the gym on Saturday and had a really good workout. I did a full lift and then followed it up with 30 min on the elliptical. It was funny because I signed on here and was checking things and thinking about all the things that I had to do that day and thought I wouldn't have time and just then my wife suggested that I go to the gym. Hey, what a good idea. Go to the gym instead of thinking about it. I was glad.

We had a Christmas party Saturday night. It was with business associates of hers, and it was sushi themed. She works with a lot of Japanese people and the guy who was hosting the party is very interested in Japanese culture. Fun time, but not exactly what I would consider a "party". I was pretty good, food wise. I was going to skip the drinks entirely, but was not given the opportunity. The host put a beer in my hand, so what was I supposed to do. It wasn't even good beer, so I didn't even get to enjoy it. :ack2:

Sunday wasn't bad at all. Lots of shopping, then we came home and my wife made a shredded chicken dish and pumpkin risotto. So good, and not so unhealthy.

Monday I did a lot of errands and then met my friends from work at the steak house. Three Guinness, a couple wings, some onion straws, cheese bread, and a nice T-bone, rare. I felt like I was rolling out of there. Way too much food, and yet not nearly as much as I used to eat. Instead of this being an every day thing, it is every now and then. That's not too bad. Also, I checked myself out in a mirror. Instead of having a bloated belly like I expected, it was pretty flat. Not bad. I'll have to check my weight in the morning to see how much damage was done, but I might have skated this one.

Good--listen to your wife! :D

Too bad but your did the right thing as far as etiquette is concerned ;)

Nice visual! LOL!

This morning I was roughly the same weight, 101.4, so I guess I wasn't that bad when all was said and done.

Tonight I didn't have much time, so I hit the gym fast and hard. I got 255 on the bench press, so I guess it's time for a new goal. :hurray: I'm thinking 275 is the next goal.

F___IN' GREAT TROPS!!!! Nice!! Well done. :smash: That shi_at!!!
IMPRESSIVE!!!

So, I'm noticing that the gym is eerily empty these days. Even during the times that are usually extra busy. I'm guessing that everyone is busy getting ready for the holidays and all, so the gym gets put on the back shelf. Good for me. January is a different story. All the people wanting to make amends for pigging out, plus the New Year's resolutions. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to go running more.

I hear that...

I've got semester break besides at the school gym. It's like a ghost town in there. But, no waiting for any stations either...

Only us hard core types still using it...

It's the same at our meetings right now. Monday night, including me, there were only five people present. It will be the same next Monday, too, I'd wager. Come January you won't be able to find a seat. Funny how that happens. I used to be one of those "New Year's Resolvers" but not this year. I'm just gonna keep on keepin on. :)

Hope you're behaving yourself. Don't make me come up there! :hat:
