Well, my plans for today got a little side tracked. My mother in law was being honored for the charity work that she does, and they had a recognition breakfast thing today, so I went to that. It was nice, but they had all this food that I'm avoiding. Eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, bagels, pastries. I was hungry because I had skipped my usual cereal breakfast, but I still managed to have just a little scrambled eggs (tasted bad compared to my fresh eggs) and fruit. That thing lasted about 2 and a half hours. After that I had some running around to do before work. I made a roast beef and mozzarella on sprouted wheat bread with mustard for lunch.
Now I'm faced with a bit of a dilemma. We have friends visiting this weekend and they are getting to our house tonight. The band is coming over to jam and I have the usual assortment of cheese and crackers chips and dip and stuff. Nothing too bad, but nothing too healthy. Also, there will be a bit of drinking. I am getting off work early tonight because of it. My question to myself is do I eat at work and say that I won't snack at home, thus risking extra if I do eat at home. Or do I skip eating dinner with the idea that those calories will be spent on cheese? I'm tempted for the latter. If there is cheese and crackers out, I know I'll be eating some. If I don't it will mean that there is some good times going on and I'm too distracted anyway.
Oh, and it looks like the workout today is not happening. I think I'll have to go for another long run tomorrow. That's probably not a bad idea since my ankle is feeling real good today, tomorrow it will be even better.
