Trops Diary

Oh? She rides? I met a lot of women who own horses on my retreat. Apparently I'm gonna soon visit this woman Rachel and meet her fantastic horse.

Stall, board, turnout, about 15 years ago was $900/month. I'm not sure what it is now. Vet and farrier is extra depending on what is needed. Yeah, very expensive

Well, I got the wood...

um, yea, some things are rather private don't ya think? ;)

Shoot, horses are expensive!! Mom had lost hers to the boarding place b/c she couldn't afford to board it anymore...it broke her heart, she's never been the same.....even cats and dogs, good grief its expensive...$40 just for a vet visit, not to mention any treatments!

The lady with the horse that I might befriend doesn't have to board him--he has all the land he wants and he doesn't even get forced into a stable. He's such a love, he likes to kiss girls :beating: and he'll come running to thrust his head forward when you bring a bridle cause he loves riding :D She says he thinks he's the Fabio of horses :rotflmao:.

We could board a horse at this point, (and my wife would love to turn the forge into a stable,) but then you are tied to your property for the life of the horse. The work of a horse is significant, so getting someone to horse sit while you are on vacation, or just away for the weekend, it's not easy. Getting someone to chicken sit is hard enough. :)

A friend just told me last week that he bought a property that he is going to turn into a Clydesdale breeding/riding farm. It's only about 15 miles from my home, so that might make it a different story. We'll see. This guy has some big dreams and most of them he makes happen.

Hey Trops: You still working out, buddy? :toetap05:

Well, I haven't been to the gym since Saturday. Pretty much because I was kicking this cold. It's pretty much on the down slide.

Today I split wood for two hours straight. Then I had some errands to do, so I took a break for lunch and that. After the kids got home I went back to it for another 45 min with my daughter stacking it. Did that till it got dark. I'm calling that a workout for the day.

Fair enough. I can't wait for HIIT tomorrow :D

Did I just say that?

I suppose Acroyoga and dancing on Friday will have to suffice for a workout *snobbily*

I will definitely hit the gym tomorrow, then I start my evening shift for 6 days. I'll get some good running done then.

I've been trying to focus on bulking up muscle wise, but I think it's time to cut. I haven't been watching my calories lately, but I have dropped the last three days. If I'm good through this weekend I'll be under 200 again. That should be good. I just have to watch that I don't hurt myself again. :smash:
