Trops Diary

OK, I'm semi motivated. I'm not going to jump rope tonight, but I will skip on the food for tonight. Might have a bit of something when I get home, but nothing really. That way I'll have no excuses tomorrow.

I don't have any motivation tonight either. I haven't worked out yet... and sadly probably wont... but i too, have only eaten about 1200 calories, so its all good.

Thats been me exactly lately. I've been skipping out on the exercise, but doing really well with my diet. Usually its the other way around. I'm losing weight this way, so I guess I won't change it too much. But if only I could do both together.

125$ for alterations? I'd die. Keep running and biking buddy, those last 10lbs will melt away in no time.

I agree isn't that kind of steep? I know alterations are expensive, but that seems a little high to me. But I'm sure it will turn out great!

Get that tush in gear Mr! Ha ha only kidding, motivation is hard to find sometimes... :ack2:

The alterations are pretty complex, and you are paying for someone's time. It's much more then just taking in the waste and hemming the pants. They are doing a complete overhaul. Besides, is $125 really that much for a suit? Most suits I've been looking at are in the $200-300 range, and I thought that was not too expensive. I might get one of those as well, since none of my other suits comes close to fitting any more. I'm not a business man, so I don't wear suits everyday, but I do like to dress up from time to time.

I suppose that makes sense if they have to put a lot of time into them. And I agree suits are expensive, but now a days what isn't expensive... with the expection of fast food... lol talk about ironic! Anyway, ha ha we want pics of the suit when its all said and done!

Heeeeyyy I JUST whipped OUT THE JUMP rope TOO!!! :).....I LOVE IT!!! ;)

...motivation I tell ya, it GETS me EVERYTIME......

Yeah, I'm looking at that jump rope, but it's 98 deg outside. :ack2: I think I'll do it anyway. Don't know how many I'll get but we'll see.

Day 99

Evening Shift

I'm thinking about things a little differently today. The last couple days I've been very concerned about calorie intake and all. I had a few very low days and I kept track on Fit Day and all. I thought I was doing pretty well. Now I'm not so sure. Yesterday I just had no energy, I was starving all day, if I did eat something I was thinking how does this affect the day's total. Too much. No food, no energy, no weight loss, no good. So, today I figured I'd eat good food and as much as I thought was good and went from there. I had a double serving of cereal for breakfast, and then because I knew that I'd be busy till well after lunch I made a PB&J sandwich and had that with breakfast. Late lunch was a bowl of pasta and diced tomatoes. Evening snack was a bowl of cereal and I'm going to make dinner here in a few minutes and that will be a double serving of polenta with yellow squash and string beans. I don't know how many calories it is, but I had good energy throughout the day.

This morning after taking the kids to camp I went to th fairgrounds to help set up for the Long Island Irish Festival. I'm so looking forward to this. Lots of really good music. All kinds of styles. Traditional Irish, Irish Rock, Balets, Irish Punk. As one band's tag line, "It'll put a twist in yer kilt." I can't wait. The promoter of the festival was glad to see me this morning. I was lugging all kinds of things around. Lot of heavy power cords from generators to tents to vendors and all. It was cool to be part of it at the beginning. It starts tomorrow afternoon, but I'll head out there in the morning again.

Tonight at work there isn't much going on. I was looking for some excuse to not jump rope, but there wasn't any. Then Alta said that she jumped rope the other day, so that motivated me. (Thanks Alta) I can't remember the last time I jumped. I was surprised at how much easier it was now. Where I would be sucking wind after 200 jumps before and really pushed myself to get more, this time I had good energy and wind. Actually I wasn't winded hardly at all. I did 3200 jumps in 23 min. 139 jumps per min. The last 200 I was dragging ass bad. Not winded, but I just hit a wall somehow. I'm sure it has something to do with all the lugging stuff around that I did this morning. I was glad to get that much in, though. I'll be able to get more in next week, and that will be cool.

thats HORRIBLE how you count the jumps....I'd GO INSSSSANE...and QUIT after 5....LOL

...minutes WORK with me.....CONGRATS to you though....CRAZY!!! AMAZING actually!!!!

Wow! Good job with that jump rope. Maybe I should look into investing in one and kick my cardio up a notch. Lately I've been wanting to spice things up some, so that might be my answer.

I'm like you, setting goals with the number of jumps or for me strides I hit on the crosstrainer. I crank that thing up to full intensity and don't hold onto any of the handles or anything. I try to hit XXXX number of strides within this amount of time, and not hold on, which I believe helps me with my balance.

I gotta work overnight tomorrow night again, and finally, hopefully it is the last one for awhile. We shall see though....

Have fun at the music festival. That sounds like a ton of fun. I'm mostly of Irish/Scottish, and Welsh descent myself...

AMAZING work TO BOTTTTH OF YOU....and MEEE TOO.....I LIKE IRISH food, and IRISH people, and IRISH festivals, and IRISH DRINKING habits.....I WANNA GO!:driving:

Yeah, it's the counting that keeps me going. I count every other jump. When I get to 80 I sprint for the next 20, then I start over at 1. Just have to keep track of the hundreds.

I think you'd be proud of me tonight. I only ate a jumbo pork tenderloin sandwich at the fair. I just wasn't feeling the grease. And the sandwich made me sick to my stomach. Not to mention it was freaking HOT outside.

We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and I abstained from the ice cream and had a big glass of water instead.

Went to the pool with the kiddos today and we had races. and I toted them around a lot. That was my only workout for the day, but my day was totally jam packed today.

Good job on keeping up your energy and on your jump ropes! You are a crazy man! Enjoy your festival this weekend!!
