Trops Diary

Trops: GREAT! Went on a beach run--the weather was no wind, 73 degrees, no clouds, the sun was a shining jewel on my face (I wore sunscreen though :D)....42 minutes but I was going real slow--haven't ran since the race last Thursday.
 
Hey, Tart. Sorry I didn't pay you your due earlier. I was on chat. Great way to kill the hours. :D You meet the nicest people in there, too bad more people don't use it. It'd be great for those evenings when the ice cream is staring at you and you're thinking about smacking it around to teach it a lesson.
 
Last night I played hockey after work. What a good time. The space was kind of small for it, but there weren't many guys so it worked out ok. I was by far the worst player, but it was very cool to not be sucking wind after 5 min. We played for probably an hour and a half with about a 20 min break in the middle. I only fell on my ass twice, though. Lower center of gravity helps in a check.

This morning I weighed in at 200.4. If I'm good this weekend I should be in the 190's Monday. That would be really great. Now I have to eat something.
 
How to use your addiction to your benefit

OK, I'm not really addicted to WLF, but it has become a regular part of my day. I miss it when I'm not on. Does this indicate that I have made real changes to my lifestyle or is it a temporary infatuation? I don't know, but I told myself this morning that I would not go on WLF till I got a good workout in. I was busy all morning so I didn't have time to go to the gym, so that left doing something at work.

It's been too cold to do any running, but today it warmed up into the 40's so that's perfect for running. It had been in the teens. When NY is colder then Helsinki, it's cold. So today I thought I'd go for a run, but the roads are wet so I figured a jump rope workout would do me good. Well, I got a new record. 12,000 jumps. 1:22:15 The pace is kind of slow for me, but I got the total, which is what I was shooting for. Is 15,000 in my future? Guess we'll have to wait and see. :hurray:
 
I haven't posted any before and after pictures, because I'm waiting for the after. :D I have taken a few for when I do make it I will have some along the way shots. :troll:

I'm feeling my motivation return, so hopefully it won't be too long. :cheers2:
 
Trops, The new P/B is awesome. I've always wondered about the before/after stuff with you.. figured it was just a privacy/comfort thing, which is something I respect and understand. Now I know you're just saving it up until you blow us all away with the transformation of Trops - The Machine!
 
Hey trops! Sorry I haven't been around much, sick and exams and life have gotten in the way. CONGRATS on the new PB!! :D GO FOR THE 15000!!!
 
I think the 15,000 will take me some where around an hour and forty five minutes. :svengo: That might be a wile before I do that. :D Although I'll have to get up to those times if I'm ever going to do the half marathon in May. :gnorsi:
