Triceps Questions

Okay, I'm sorry if this question has been rehashed over and over. I've been working my triceps for a while now and I'm still not seeing the results I want. Basically, I want that flab on the underside of my arm to go away. It's not so much fat as just a lack of tone. I usually do tricep dips, the rope arm extentions (don't know proper name) and then the exercise that isn't the row...but similar, you straighten your arm out parallel to the floor.

Are there different exercises I should be using?

Thanks!

like mreik said.. eat healty ;) and cardio helps alot.. working the triceps wont take away fat from only the triceps since you cant spot reduce.

your chosen exercises aren't ideal. tricep dips are fine, but you seem to describe kickbacks, which are one of the least effective but most overrated exercises among those 'not in the know'.

close grip bench press
skull crushers
tricep extensions behind the head (one or two arm)

follow that with your rope extensions, but use different grip handles...like the 45 degree handle, straight handle, as well as ropes.

this will help you bulk up the triceps. but you'll have to shed overall body fat (as already mentioned) to get rid of the flab.

yeah, but if u work the muscle and bulk it up, the fat should then be pushed out so it seems as if there is less right? (theoretically)

You would think so, but it doesnt always work that, think about some really big guys, they may have strong developed triceps but still have a little fat on them AND have a ton of fat throughout the rest of their body...hope that made sense

I think they hit the nail on the head. Everyone thinks that they simply lack definition in their flabby triceps but cutting fat will eliminate that. Skull crushers and dips are the best triceps excercies

Do you have any links to pictures that describe the exercises you're mentioning? I am not completely familiar with all the weight lifting yet :)

Also, I understand what everyone is talking about in regards to losing weight. What about when you don't need to lose too much weight? I would love to lose about 10 pounds, but probably five to eight is more realisitic...so I wonder how much of the tricep "flabiness" is "fat" and how much of it is just untoned muscle, arm...
