Thanks for posting the video links. I've bookmarked them all and will try them with my sister and friend at the end of summer when they finish work![]()
Eeee. 272.4 lbs this morning. I shouldn't be so thrilled over a number, but I AM. That's 3.4 lbs lost in 6 days. Eeeee.
Why, hello WHOOSH. Someone told me you were coming and here you are! Please, let me pull out a chair for you. Make yourself comfortable and feel free to stay a while. Or, you know... for the next 100 or so lbs. You just stay as long as you want, okay?
Ooh you'll be in the 260's in no time!
Really good how you've completely turned around your lifestyle, just one thing though, make sure you're not lowering your calories too much, especially with the amount of exercise you're doing, because you'll need to lower your intake the smaller you get and you don't want to end up not having enough freedom in your calorie limit.
Congratulations on the 12.6lbs though, you've almost lost an entire stone!
LOL you made me giggle...
congrats on your loss!that is great news!

You are quite funny!! Congradulations on your weightloss!!!![]()
Thanks for the suggestion!
Milk has protein in it and even my cereal had 4 grams in it. So there were 12 grams of protein in my breakfast this morning. Are you saying I should have more protein than that in my breakfast or that it should specifically be protein from meat?
But I've actually been trying to get more protein in my diet overall. One of my big problems is protein. I'm a former vegetarian and even though I eat meat now, it's still really hard for me to eat some things. I can't make myself eat eggs. I can barely eat deli meat... I've had shaved chicken, which I can tolerate, and I tried turkey deli slices but it just makes me gag. I'm doing well with fish (I love salmon and tilapia) and I eat crab sometimes, and I'm good with chicken and steak. But I still don't eat as much meat as someone else would. I am managing about 60 to 80 grams of protein a day at this point, out of roughly 1600 to 1800 calories daily.
Edit: Sausages give me the creeps. I just can't do it. Haha. What can I say? This is what happens when you don't eat meat for 14 years.
LOL, congratulations. 3.4 lbs is great in only 6 days. Well doneEeee. 272.4 lbs this morning. I shouldn't be so thrilled over a number, but I AM. That's 3.4 lbs lost in 6 days. Eeeee.

I haven't had read meat in about 15 years I was a vegan for a while. Nuts are full of good fats and proteine (in moderation and not the salted ones) they are great in salads and stir fry, or on their own. I don't eat any deli meats I usually just grill chicken breast myself and use it in salads or sandwiches. Legumes are a good source of protein chick peas, lentills, Kidney beans......Now I was food lol! Meat is not the only source of protein there are many outthere more then I probably know!
LOL, congratulations. 3.4 lbs is great in only 6 days. Well done![]()
WOOO WOOO WOOO!
3.4lbs is great! Well done hon!!
I bet that felt like the best WHOOOSH!
I think 1700 - 1800 cals is fine if you feel ok in yourself - like not dizzy and that you have enough energy and you are not hungry. If its not enough, I think your body would let you know.
I think you are doing great and will tumble down the 200s in no time
I found once the first 10 or so lbs came off, the momentum I had in terms of motivation really pushed me onwards to lose more and carry on doing much the same - because I could see and feel the difference it was making. Hopefully you are getting the same "rather-pleased-with-myself" feeling now![]()
Thank you.I've actually been doing much better with protein lately. I'm managing my minimum required amount of protein every day, so I'm not as concerned about it as I was before. I have been trying to get nuts that are unsalted but for some reason the grocery stores I have been to refuse to sell unsalted nuts (or they sure make it seem like they do).

It's weird but in a strange way I feel almost jealous of you that you are at the beginning part where it is so exciting to see the big whooshes. Not that I ever want to be there again and don't intend to be but I found it so much fun to see the weight dropping off week by week. I think that is why I am concentrating on the getting fit now as that is much more motivating than trying to shift the last few stubborn lbs. I'm glad that I found these forums so that I can live it all again through other peopleThank you very much.I feel terrific about it.
