Tory's Diary

Congrats Tory! You seem very determined and logical with your weight loss, which is great. For me, I'm all over the place, haha

*Update* Have just finished my 2litres of water :)

Drinking a lot of water is surprisingly hard for a lot of people. I've tried to do it before and it is seriously haaaaard. And, you'd think it would be easy too - I mean, it's just water, you know? But, it's SOOOOO HARD!!!

That's awesome though. You're doing good. Keep it up!!!

God, tell me about it! I struggle big time with it. My brother can easily drink about 3-5 litres of water a day without even trying (which is crazy) I get to 1 litre and start struggling. But for me instead of measuring it with smaller bottles or with glasses of water I just use a 2litre bottle of water and try to finish the whole bottle which I think makes it easier than measuring in glasses (because it seems endless).

Thank you for the encouraging words! :)

I was so tired after such a busy day yesterday I didn't get around to uploading my day 6 diary so I shall do it now ...

17/04/2015 *Day 6*

Calorie intake allowance - 1,220
Calories consumed - 854
Calories burned - 0
Net calories for day - 854

I'm so annoyed I didn't get around to doing any exercise yesterday, it was just such a busy day. I've got my last day of week 1 of the C25K to do today so hopefully the rest I had yesterday should help with that.

ALSO.....
As it is now 18.04.2015 it is time for my first weeks weigh in!

*drum roll*

Starting weight a week ago - 169.5lbs
Todays weigh in - 163.5lbs
Weight lost - 6lbs

Now ... I know some of this will be water weight ... but that's nearly half a stone ... NEARLY HALF A STONE! How crazy is that?! I am so happy with that!! I have been trying to lose weight on and off since about Feb 2014, at the time I always thought I was doing well with my eating and then when I came to weigh myself the scales never moved, which really de-motivated me because I was trying so hard! So I am elated that this time round I must be doing something right and am thankful for this forum because I think a lot of the time it stops me from over eating because I know I have to publish my daily calorie consumption, so yeah, thanks guys! Its all going to be onwards and upwards from here :)

Ps, I know it is only 6lbs .. I know people have lost more than that *well done you guys* but I have never lost 6lbs in a week before so I am a little over the top crazily happy this morning :)

Hope everyone has a fab day and will be posting my Day 7 diary this evening :)

***~~ !!! Go Tory, go Tory, go Tory !!! ~~***

Awesome Job there!! You have every right to be proud of yourself! Don't measure it with anyone else, it's your personal goal, your work, your body, and you've done great! One week and already you started changing your lifestyle towards healthier food, 2 liters water a day, restricted kcal and sports! That is awesome! I'm so happy for you, and I'm sure it's like the biggest motivational push ^-^
Now keep up the momentum over the weekend!

Oh, and to your running complaint: my cough is going, so if you want a challenge and keep yourself accountable with running - how about the two of us start next week :p

The C25K is a 3 day a week running program .. I completed week 1 today so I am quite pleased with that :) What kind of running challenge did you have in mind bearing in mind I'm a newbie to running :blush5: ?

18/04/2015 *Day 7*

Week 1 day 3 of the C25k completed! Start week 2 on Monday

Calorie intake allowance - 1,220
Calories consumed - 1,111 .. I'm a bit of a coffee addict and love drinking Mochas, I have "skinny mocha" sachets at home and they are 70cal .. whilst I was out today I went into Costa with my mum and I had a skinny mocha in there .. when I went on to My Fitnesspal to log it I was shocked by how high the calorie content was!! 232 calories... for a coffee!! Craziness, but I've let it slide (still accounted for it in my allowance) because of how happy I was with my weight loss for the week.
Calories burned - 235
Net calories for day - 876

Water Consumption - 1 litre so far.. not doing that great water wise today but I am determined to finish it!

Ahhh, haven't been able to update this for a few days. I'm now on day 14 (due my weigh in tomorrow): I've been eating between 1000-1,100 calories a day and have been exercising ... Started incorporating weights into my exercise too :) I've also been drinking my 2 litres of water a day. I actually had a water bottle delivered today that I ordered online. It's got like a test tube with holes that sits inside the bottle... The test tube thing is for you to put fruit in so it flavours the water without loads of sugar and additives, so I'm looking forward to trying that.

So my 2nd weigh in is tomorrow.. feeling slightly nervous but I'm hoping to have lost 1-2lbs: I feel like I've worked really hard this week on eating healthy and my exercise so I really hope I see some results. Wish me luck :)

Day 15 - Weigh in number 2:

Starting weight (12.04.15) - 169.5lbs
1st Weigh in (19.04.15) - 163.5lbs
2nd Weigh in (26.04.15) - 162.25lbs

- Weight loss in a week - 1.25lbs (not great, could be better, but I'm pleased its going down
- Weight loss so far - 7.25lbs (Just over half a stone in 2 weeks ... guess I cant complain at that :))

Started a Tumblr to help me with motivation. Probably won't be checking in on here very often from now on. Might stop by maybe once a week just to update my weigh-ins.

Weigh in number 3

Starting Weight - 169.5lbs
Current Weight - 161.25lbs
Weight Loss since last week - 1lb
Weight Loss Overall - 8.25lbs

Also completed my first week of Insanity :)

Waaah, you're doing great Tory! :D
I'm happy for you, you're being so good and true to your program! So sad you don't want to check by more often. Say, any chance you might just want to be weight-loss buddies, over this forum or another form of media so we can motivate each other? I think that could be really nice :)

Ahh, thank you. I really need to keep the motivation up otherwise I start to slip up here and there and I didn't really feel that this forum was giving me that .. not because of the people because everyone is great but just because of the layout or structure maybe? I started tumblr because I think it's much more accessible and on the go which I find more helpful. But yeah if you want to be weight loss buddies for motivation that would be great for both of us :)
