Top Heavy

I am back again. I cant believe its nearly 2 years since I first joined this forum. Well I have reached my goal weight and now have a new goal weight. I want to lose another half a stone by the summer. We are going on holidays this year so would really like to look great in a bikini.
I am still following weightwatchers diet, well its a way of life now not a diet and I am fine with the diet. I am also walking a lot. Recently I had a foto taken and looking at the foto I realised I am very top heavy. I lost most of my weight from my hips, stomach and legs but my top half still looks huge. Has anyone any advice about what I can do to lose weight from my arms, shoulders and chest without having to have breast reduction surgery. what exercise would help. I need to get rid of the bat wings. Thanks.................

I also get top heavy when I gain weight. I use WW's points to lose weight too. But I don't go to weight watches. As I lose weight and exercise I lose the weight all over. I am losing weight slow, but that is ok and I lack 5 lb to reach my goal.

I hope you stay with your plan, so you can fit into that bikini.

Thanks Anna Gail for the reply. Good to see weightwatchers is working for you too. I was just wondering though what type of exercise would be best to lose weight on the upper body. Would swimming walking or running be best. I am still waiting for the weather to improve to start back running. Maybe when I start running again I will start toning up. Was really nice to get a reply thanks Anna Gail.

It's not possible to lose fat at specific parts of your body. It's a myth that you can spot reduce fat by doing exercises. Full body strength training will be good for you, combined with watching your diet. Check out training forum, plenty good tips there.
