toolips weight loss diary

yes i agree. i'm a big sucker for chocolate. so i bought weight watchers double fudge chocolate cake. you warm it up and it has chocolate sauce and white chocolate flakes on it. soooooooo good, only 170 cal for something so rich and for the size of my palm. i had that the other night and it kinda went about 60 cal over my limit but i did not care, i enjoyed it wayyyyy too much lol. it kept me pretty satisfied for a couple days too :)

Weight Watchers dessert snacks are awwwwesome.
You're doing so well, Toolips.

thank you!!!

i'm scared i'm getting my hopes up with the 3 lb loss. i totally wanna lose like 2 lbs a week but im worried i'm gonna be dissapointed if i dont or worse - gain weight. im trying to stay positive but i keep thinking "how am i gonna pull this off for more than half a year? i wanna lose the weight by november - december.
so far im going onto week 3 and this is the longest i've been committed so i think this is a really good start. im getting more and more comfortable with the fact that it will take time to come off. i think this site is seriously helping me so much and so are all the kind words everyone's giving me.

I think a big part of success with weight loss is attitude change and your seems to be changing. You sound like you are really growing in understanding of things. Its great because you are open to the whole experience. When we do new stuff, we often have feelings of trepidation but its courage and really wanting something to keep pushing on towards the goal. So you are doing really brilliantly.

As you go on, your anxiety about success or failure will lessen and your ease with the new program will grow. Eventually it will be second nature, habit and your lifestyle. YOu will be a "new woman" in almost a literal sense.

My comment on the WW pudding is a warning. Be careful with these, i think they can be a bit of a trap for the unwary. When you get really comfortable with your diet and progress, that's when you might be likely to have two puddings instead of one and then you may get hungry because you've not had enough nutrient rich food to provide the energy etc you need and then you may find yourself binging because that's what often happens when you stay hungry for too long and don't get your nutrients. So just be careful and make sure that nutrient rich, non dessert type foods come way first in your diet, day in and day out and keep the WW puds to special occasions.

Try not to fixate on losing x amount in a set period of time. You want to avoid every possible disappointment so don't set yourself up for one. If you are committed to your program, you will get where you need to go with minimal trouble. Just so long as the scales keep going down, and you feel good and healthy, its all going well. If it seems to slow down a bit at any point, reevaluate what you are doing. Recalculate your BMR and weightloss calories. Check what you are eating falls within, are you still being active. What else is in play. You know that sort of thing.

You are doing great so keep it up. Don't worry.

You're so commited to this, it's amazing.
You'll be just just fine.
Mmm rye bread with honey and peanut butter must be a delicious combination.

hey guys :) thanks for the kind words.
last night i just had a honey chicken sub from quizno's and a bowl of soup and a banana. mainly cause i slept all day lol

today i had a cheddar bagel with butter and i went to the doctor for my yearly check up. she said everything is looking good. and i went for blood tests for my stomach. she said i might be allergic to gluton or dairy, but we'll see.

as of now - my sister and i had lunch out and we shared a donair instead of getting a full one for ourselves. so that's about 400 cal.

my sister had to go for blood tests aswell, doctor said somethings wrong with her kidneys :( i hope she's ok.

Another great day.
So glad your health is tip top. Hope your sister is ok. *hugs*

thanks guys. something happened and her ankles swelled up and she couldnt walk cause it was so painful.

hey guyyyyyzzzzz~*~*~*~*~~
breakfast sandwich today. with a glass of milk.

for some reason i've been feeling kinda lonely lately. not like "i want a boyfriend" lonely, but like just alone. i think it might be the lack of sun. i dont know! i tend to go through this every once in awhile. usually every 5 months or so lol but then i'll start feeling like a million bucks after awhile. :)

random thoughts: why do all my friends date assholes? i've been best friends with a girl for about 12 years. thats over half my life. and she's been dating this jerk who completely acts fake to me but talks shit about me all the time. she said it's cause he's jealous we're so close. i hate him. HAAAAAAATE HIM. yet i have to act nice to him so we can all get along.

anyway enough of that rant. i feel like i just need a vacation or something.

Ugh it's so hard when your bff is dating a jerk. You can't make them listen to you. They'll figure it out sooner or later.

I feel lonely too.
I'm sorry that you feel lonely.
I hope you get some sunshine in your life soon. <3

thank you <3 i think that little rant helped a bit.
:) i cant wait to goto work and just get my mind off things.

I hope you sister is going to be ok.

I know the feeling you describe. Have you got SADS? :hug2:

This sort of feeling if it lingers can be bad for a diet. Try to find good people to lean on and some new social/fitness activities that can bounce your mood up. Don't isolate. (just some things to keep in mind).

hey guys :) thanks for everything.

i feel so much better today. i got some probiotics, hopefully they help.
and i've been in a better mood aswell. this weekend is gonna be really special. its my sisters bday and we're going to a fondu place for her dinner then we're having a bunch of friends over. and a couple of my guy friends who always really make me laugh. mayyyyybe i'll post some pics :)

today i've had some oatmeal, coffee, rice cakes, hummus and a turkey sandwich on whole wheat.

plus at work i've done a looooot of hard work. it was definitely my exercise for today.

have you got your blood tests back yet ? As a coeliac I know exactly what it like to have to stick to a gluten free diet.

I"m glad to hear you are feeling better today.

The fondu thing is going to be rough on your diet. Try to eat light but not irregularly through the day and try to not eat too much at the fondu restaurant itself. Afterall fondu is cheese right. LOTS of fat and therefore calories.

They day of the meal, your oatmeal, fresh salads, fruit and vegetables with some carbs such as some bread at lunch. These will all keep you filled up but not overload your with calories so you should still have room left to eat well at night whilst not making your appetite too big. Try to avoid other meats or keep the portion small, as cheese is high in protein as well as fat and I can't remember too well but won't the cheese be coating other meats and stuff? I"ve only ever had fondu once and it was a long long time ago. I think i was about 10 years old.

Will you be drinking? Try to drink a glass of water slowly between each glass of wine to help you stay sober and not drink too much. If you get drunk, you will get careless.

If you just want to throw caution to the winds and eat and drink whatever you want at this meal, that's your decision but if you want to enjoy this meal whilst staying true to your diet, you will need to give yourself a few rules in advance and be strong.

If you blow it and regret it afterwards. Don't worry. Don't beat yourself up about. Just accept it and the consequences and move on as quickly as possible.

I hope that is helpful.

hmmm, i'm getting hungry now. half an hour til lunch. Perhaps i should do a little garden job and get off this forum. :icon for pulling out finger: :D
