toolips weight loss diary

Toolips :coolgleamA: you're a really pretty girl :coolgleamA:

I love when some strangers give me a compliment (and it doesn't happen really often :leaving:)

You are doing a great job, honey, fingers crossed for your weigh in :D

There's so much to comment on since i last wrote and read. I"ve been away for only two days. But the most important thing i need to comment on is your tummy issues.

I know that anxiety and stress give people an uncomfortable tummy . But so also do ulcers. Have you ever been checked out for ulcers or discussed it with your doctor. Stress also causes ulcers. I think you are quite young so it would be unusual.

If its just due to stress, you should learn some relaxation techniques, give up cigarettes, and reduce coffee consumption. ( I used to a be a heavy smoker so i know how tummy stress feels in combo with lots of coffee and lots of fags.)

There is also an ulcer caused by a virus. Its easy to test for and easy to cure. ITs the helico bacter virus. You need to see your doctor about your stomach discomfort.

There are other things like reflux and hiatus hernias.

If its more intestinal, it could be irritable bowel syndrome which i still think no one really understands. But really this diagnosis means no one knows what's going on with you yet.

Or again for intestinal it could be coeliac disease which is intoleranace to gluten. Or it could be intolerance to fructose, or lactose.

If its intestinal you get fairly frequent occasions of either diarrhoea or constipation as well as bloating i think. I never had it but i've known a ton of people who have.

A friend of mine had fructose intolerance but for years thought it was gluten intolerance. It was diagnosed late in the day by a endoscopy.

There's really only one way to find out and that's to get properly tested and diagnosed by your doctor. YOu need to have actual tests for this. A doctor even cannot know for sure just by talking to you.

I urge you to get a proper diagnosis.

hey you :) i have gone for tummy tests and they found nothing.
my mom and dad said they have the same stomach as me, and they've had it all their life. my sister had a sensitive stomach (not as bad as mine though) and my auntie apparently had a reeeeeeeeeeeally bad stomach all her life. my parents are saying i was just blessed with a really sensitive stomach that has been passed down through them.
it's weird cause my stomach will be fine all week and then BAM, i'm going non-stop one day. i've watched my mom aswell, she watches what she eats too but if she eats something hard on the stomach, she constantly is going to the bathroom. my dad goes probably 3 times in a morning before he goes to work.

it's disgusting, i know. it just sucks that mine seems to be the worst. i am going to talk to the doctor still about it though, ask her if she thinks it's ibs, crones or just a nervous tummy. probably go for more stomach tests.

i do plan on quitting smoking but i wanna lose my weight first. one mountain at a time, right? :)

for breakfast i had 2 pieces of rye bread and peanut butter.
and i just went on a 30 min walk even though it's cloudy and gross outside, i still love hearing the birds sing.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
gym scale says i'm actually 189. 3 LBS GONE THIS WEEK. STOOOKED.

my bmi went down .2% lol
anyway, i'm going to watch my friends band play tonight. i'll update everyone tomorrow!

Yayyyy for weight loss!!! thats great! thats 3 pounds less you have to worry about and you sound committed so they're NOT coming back!!! and yay for compliments girl!!! think how many more compliments you will get as you continue to lose :) Im proud girl keep it up!! Im still on the journey with you, Im just waiting a while to weigh in....

Hey sweet. Amazing progress. Look how that scales gone down. Lalalala. You rule.

Oh you pooor thing with all that possibly simply genetic sensitive tummy. I hope you find a way to alleviate the distress somehow.

congrats on the loss (i love saying that - since usually that would be so cruel to say but not when it comes to fat, hey?) :willy_nilly:

I can't wait for the day when i can read someone's pounds and not have to get out my calculator to understand what it means

thank you soooooo much everyone. and for all your support. you guys really help me so much.

i did have a "cheat day" yesterday but i stayed under about 1600 cal. and on thursday i danced my heart out hahaha.
but today im back on track and i'm having hummus for breakfast even though there is pizza in the fridge. my family is getting burgers for supper so im really happy i'll be at work today so i wont be tempted.

Aw I'm so happy for you : ) Do not feel guilty for the 'cheat day', the whole point of building a lifestyle around weight loss is simply learning and adapting to that we don't 'live to eat' anymore, but merely 'eat to live' : ) As long as our whole life doesn't revolve around food, you are doing swell. Live life happily and proud of yourself, never drown in shame as life is not meant to deprive yourself totally xx

the first 2 weeks i didn't have any cheat days because i knew i couldnt handle them.
but i feel i've gained way more control just from those 2 weeks. i am committed. even after my burger last night i felt pretty gross lol it totally was not as good as i remember burgers being.
other than that, i feel maybe one cheat day every couple weeks wouldnt be so bad due to the fact that i'm constantly craving certain things. who knows, maybe cravings will eventually go away :)

to go off what aphrodite said.... I tell myself that since this is a lifestyle change anything is okay long as I stay within my alloted calories for the day. Now for the most part I am strict and dont give into cravings but if I do I allow them to work into my allowed calories so its still a good day. And, its not a cheat because this will be my lifestyle forever. So, if at the end of the day if I had a piece of chocolate or cookie and am still under 1400 calories, Im good and its not a cheat, just a normal day in the life. :) Ohhh and isn't it funny how we may really crave something we love then when we have it, its not nearly as good as we remembered!!? haha thats funny, but it just makes it that much easier to resist the next time.
