toolips weight loss diary

I decided starting next week, i'm going to try to start hitting the treadmill every day for as long as possible. i'll only do it to the point of boredome but i wanna start seeing these pounds come off.
monday- treadmill, then gym
tuesday- treadmill, work (beer order)
wednesday- treadmill, work
thursday- treadmill, gym
friday- gym, work(liquor order)

Are you sure that's an effective weight loss technique? You might be wasting your time there (I honestly don't know, but I gather long sessions of cardio aren't as productive as people would like them to be)

Yay! I'd love to do this together, I love your positive energy! How often do you weigh yourself? Right now I'm doing once every morning only until this Sunday. Sunday is May 1st and I plan to have a good month but I don't want to weigh too often because inget too obsessive. I'm going to trust myself and go by my clothes. I kno I have to be patient for the weight to come often and using to scale to much makes me anxious. My diary is "feeling defeated. Who can relate?" hope you have a good day tomorro! Ill check back then :)

good work choosing to go to your workout despite loosing your workout partner :)

thanks! im glad i went, they played really good music. i dont know if its cause i've been exercising or the music that pumped me up but i didnt lose my breath at all and it was the hardest i worked ever

treadmill has proven effective many times before. i hate it but it's gotten me to lose about 4 lbs in a week everytime i start off. in grade 8 when i lost those 30 lbs - i lost 10 lbs in the first week.

thats why i said i'd do it to the point of boredom, because i dont like it very much lol. but other than the gym 3x a week and my job, i litterally do absolutely nothing! i sit on the couch haha. i need to start being not so lazy.:banghead:

thanks! i will check out your diary!
this week it's been everyday. but i'm going to try and only do it once a week every friday morning.
its hard not to get obsessive when you're working hard. but you have the right idea and i have to keep reminding myself that it will take a while for it to come off. :)

Last night i had the MOST delicious supper so far. i bought some garlic turkey breast from the deli, and i had whole wheat toast, herb and garlic cream cheese with the turkey on top. I was taking someone's advice to try and control my eating habits and every bite i took, i'd put my food down, take a sip of milk. it really helped, and i felt fuller faster. it actually kept me really full aswell.

the diet was super hard the first 2 days, but these last 3 days i've had absolutely no problem. i seem to have more energy, and i'm happy. my face seems a little smoother too.

today i work 3-11 at my liquor store, and i'm going out with some friends and my sister. tonight is the real test. if i want some drunk munchie's or not. i'm going to indulge a little if everyone else is. but if no one else wants to eat then it really wont be a problem.

my sister also has a gift certificate for a resteraunt and she told me to pick out what i want for dinner and that she's gonna pick it up after she's off work.
i'm gonna pick the healthiest choice i can that i'd still enjoy and i might save it for tomorrrow for when i'm a little hung over. if i'm feeling guilty tomorrow, i KNOW i will go for a walk or hit the treadmill for a bit.

as for breakfast today
2 pieces of rye bread. and 4 small pieces of spreadable laughing cow cheese.
1 skinny caramel cappucino.

from the resteraunt, i'm gonna get the grilled chicken and baked brie ciabatta.
it has grilled chicken, melted brie, roasted apples, spinach, sweet fig jam, garlic mayonnaise, house baked ciabatta

it's about 670 cal, so i'm either gonna only eat half tonight for supper, or save it for saturday. probably gonna take off the top bun aswell.

work is so fursterating. my coworker has dialysis. so when he starts feeling sick or something, he completely takes his anger out on me. i feel bad for him, but i just feel like he shouldnt work if he's so sick and is gonna treat people the way he does.

so i had half that sandwich, it was so good, and there were a lot of apples in it, which is good! i guess lol. i'm so excited to go out tonight and just let loose with my best friends.

When I was in 9th grade I went from 174lbs to 140 lbs march thru may by mainly working on the treadmill (besides diet) so like you said it is effective! I love when my skin starts to glow when I'm eating better as well. That meal you had with the cream cheese sounds delicious. I have reduced day chive and onion cream cheese ill try it with that :) and with the bingeing thanks for the tips! I'm commited to talking myself out of bingeing. hope you had a good night out.. Be back Tomorro :)

Long periods of cardio definitely do work. When i go on my cycling journeys, i lose a ton a weight and so does everyone else.

I have lost lots of weight easily whenever i've taken up running.

At the moment i am walking every second day for 8 and now 10km. It may not be taking off zillions of kgs but i know its defintely helping. I mean it makes sense. YOu are exercising more than normal and this burns calories so of course its going to translate into weight loss. Its only if you eat to compensate for the calorie burn that you won't lose any weight.

Its probably just gym owners who promote this myth.

That said, i would find walking on a treadmill too boring i think and i wouldn't do it enough. I like to be out in the real world. On hte other hand if the weather is freezing, i'd probably enjoy going to the gym.

How was your night out? I hope you had a wild time.
You're eating really well. Goooo you.

I think cardio is great.
Any time when you're being active is better than being inactive. 100% for sure. I wish i had a treadmill. I'd never sleep.

I guess as long as you have an ipod or a tv nearby, you can be entertained.

hey guys! :) my weekend was amazing:

me and my friends went to the bar and i did indulge in the drinking a bit much. i stayed up with some guys friends just talking and one actually ended up asking me out. lol so weird but hes really sweet. i did say no because i love being single. but hes been texting me all weekend, i kinda feel bad i had to reject him.
so saturday i only had half a sandwich then before i knew it all my friends were over and they brought some drinks. i only had some wine and there was no time to eat anything else before we were on our way to another party. i only stayed a few hours but me and my friend drove around a bit, we got some toquito's and just chatted.

as for today, my friend came over AGAIN. and had pizza with her (see how bad my friends can be! lol) and i only had 2 pieces. i had like 3 hot wings aswell. other than that i had a whole wheat grilled chicken wrap and a coffee.

this weekend was bad for my diet but i do have a lot of friends and i dont really wanna give up my social life for a diet. so it's back to staying on track tomorrow and working out!

my friend lost about 60 lbs by working out and getting healthier and she looks absolutely AMAZING. so she is definitely my inspiration.

It sounds like you stayed firmly in control this weekend.
Ooooh a guy asked you out and you turned him dowwwwn. BURN. Maybe you'll end up being really great friends.

Your friend lost 60lbs? What sort of exercise did she do?
She must be amazing motivation.

hahaha we will, hes really cute too. but i just really prefer singleness right now :)

she had a controlling bf for a year and he didnt let her see her friends so she took all her aggression out at the gym and once she started feeling more confident she dumped him
now she looks amazing and so happy
she now WORKS at the gym lol. she said mainly cardio.

i dont know if its still cause im so tired, but i looked in the mirror today, and my tummy looks slightly smaller.

as for breakfast today, i am having 2 pieces of rye bread, and a half cup of cottage cheese with some yogurt.
also i need a caramel cappacino STAT. i am so tired. i think it's from the partying this weekend.

i'm gonna do some house chores, then go for a walk to the store. theeeeen i'm going to the gym later which is much needed after this weekend.

another note: i passed one whole week of dieting and still continued onto this next week.
this is better than i've done for about 6 years of trying to diet. i gotta say, i'm proud of myself for staying so motivated.
