toning specific parts of your chest

I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advise on toning specific parts of my chest??
Im happy with the inner part, but not with the lower outer part, if that makes any sence lol And hope people can suggest some excercises

Hi, Steve.

If you want to lose some extra body fat it will take a mixture of things. I'll post them below.

If you are just looking to strengthen the outer part of the chest, try flyes. They work the chest and shoulders.

you cannot tone parts of your body. toning is a product of increasing lean muscle mass, and then shedding the fat that covers it, to reveal the definition.

since you cannot spot reduce fat...you cannot exactly spot tone. You can focus increasing the lean mass of the chest though, so that when you lose some fat, it'll look more like what you want to see.
 
I recommend doing flyes and barbell flat bench presses. Here are a few basic and very effective chest exercises:



Again, concurring with what was said above, you can't lose fat in just one part of your body if that indeed was your goal of "toning." Lose fat everywhere with weight training, balanced dieting, and cardio. Good luck!

But that seems to be the only part on my body that isnt toned??

Im pretty sure this is due to quite regular weight training in the past. Where as ive pretty much kept up basic training with my arms, shoulders and abs and so on i havent been to the gym for a while and dont have a incline/decline bench. So havent exercised the that part of my chest??

Im gonna give the flyes a try and hopefully sort out a better bench.

What would you guys do in my situation? (pretty toned apart from that part of your chest)

Assuming it's just some extra fat, I'd work on cleaning up the diet and working out the entire body on a regular basis.
