Todd's Journey

Hey Todd, just thought I'd comment in your journal... You seem to be doing such an awesome job!

I haven't read all of your posts, but I read one where you said you were eating boca burgers... I tried them and something about the texture turned me off... but have you ever used ground boca in chili? I've been wondering what that would be like, so I thought I'd ask. :D

Hey Renee,

No, I haven't tried the Boca ground yet. I've had the Boca Flame Grilled, Boca Veggan, Boca Vegtable (has corn, spinach in them) and the Boca Cheeseburger. Love'em all. You should give the ground a taste, I'd be anxious to hear what you think of it. Have you tried the other brand of soy burgers? I forget the brand name but they are usually right next to the Boca's in the freezer section.

I'll pick up some of the ground next time I go grocery shopping. I haven't tried any other brands of soy burger, I guess I just figured they'd all have the same texture. Maybe I'll give it another try. :)

Hey Todd, I meant to stop by here before this but never made it. Great job so far man, you should be proud of yourself for what you have already accomplished, keep up the good work. There is lots to learn and it will be a long journey, but I guarantee you can do this and it will definitely be worth it.

Stay strong and focused.

Hey Todd,
Just checking in, how you doing?
:D

Hiya M2M,

Looks like I'm a day late on my weekly update. Yesterday was a crazy one and it seemed like I was non-stop all day long.

"Everything is right on track" according to my trainer this morning. This past week I lost 7 pounds which is the most I've ever lost in one week. I'm usually between 3.5 and 4.2 pounds a week, so 7 is a surprise. I think adding an additional 300-400 calories and now stepping up the training another level were the reasons for the loss. I'm now doing 60 minutes on the treadmill 6 days a week instead of 3. My weight training has increased as well.

Boy, was it nice to relax on Sunday and not do much of anything. I did go to the mall and do a few laps.....I always need something at the freakin mall on Sunday's :)

I'm thinking pretty strongly that I can lose 100 pounds in six months. I purposed this question to my trainer today after my seven pound loss. His responce was, "Todd, we have a long road ahead, let's just focus on 399" lol. Oh well, I still think I can do it. Next Monday I'll have my first progress photos taken. It will be the end of eight weeks and hopefully I'll be down at least 35 pounds. I should make 399 by mid May....hopefully sooner :D

Hey, thanks Fenster.

I'm fortunate that I've come this far in seven weeks. You're right, it is a long, long journey. It plays with your mind when you have as much weight to lose as some of us do. It seems a daunting task that is unattainable. But as you know, it can be done and I look forward in joining you by attaining the unattainable.

Hi Todd,
I just read a post from you in someone else's thread that you've been losing 4 lbs a week for the last several weeks - Congratulations! You are right on target for what people around here recommend, weekly loss of @ 1% of your body weight. I am really really impressed by what you're doing. Great job! Getting to your goal IS a daunting task. I feel very intimidated by my own goal, but doing it day by day, week by week, exactly as you're doing it will get you there. You've already got the ball rolling! Great job.

Hiya Slimmom,

Thank you for the kind words of support. I see you're doing a great job as well. Keep up the good work....like you said, week by week we'll get to our goal.

It looks like I've been neglecting my journal for the past several weeks. I'm just not much for journals, blogs or diaries I guess. I enjoy reading others, but hate writing my own

Anyway, I've finally broke through a five day platue where I didn't lose any weight. Now, it's coming off fast and furious again (3 pounds in four days). Today I broke 400.........FINALLY!! and have one week to make my goal of 50 pounds in 3 months. I have until June 6th to drop four more pounds....I think I'll make it.

Todd

way to go for getting out of the 4s that's awesome :)

remember it's slow and steady wins the race - don't push yourself too hard... it's your new habits that will get you where you want to be
