Today another day of not giving up!

As of today I weigh 136,5'5, with 26% body fat I would only like to loose a few pounds But alot of body fat! My muscles have recovered from the following days. So today I gonna work them hard! Dieting is so hard!!!! For the past two days my stomach has been growling up a storm to the point of nausea! I have been eating 1200 calories a day, mostly egg whites, lean meats, and rice. Getting rid of my sugar addiction is kinda hard. When I go to the kitchen to make a meal I'd rather eat sugar then anything But I know that I cant! All I know is this time I m gonna do this and I m gonna look good and feel good! there is no point in not doing so.

Welcome to the forum. I'm also a newb, been here for over a week. The people here are really nice and supportive. You'll definitely feel right at home here.

Just a friendly opinion :) : You shouldn't starve yourself to the point of a growling stomach. In the long run it won't help at all. You'll only lose muscle and water weight. Plus you don't have a lot of weight to lose so you shouldn't have to starve. I suggest eating five small but healthy meals a day and do strength training plus cardio exercises. Strength training will tone your muscles and cardio will help you lose the excess fat.

The above advice is very wise.. tummy growling especially to the point of nausea isn't good for you... feed it...

One question on your food choices... With Rice- is that white rice or brown rice? you might want to try brown rice if you haven't for a complex carb that will keep you full longer.. or better still vegetables which are lower in calories than rice and you can have more of them...
 
Not weighing in!

Well today another week has started and I have decided not to wiegh in Not only does it discourage me but I am more focused on changing my lifestyle more than what the scale sais for right now. It will pay off even if I dont look!!!! This is something I want to make a part of my life not just to loose weight for awhile I think thats a key factor many people arent focusing on. Besides I am more focused on my reflection than my poundage!

you're right, it is about changing a lifestyle than a number - i think most of us have learned that dieting doesn't really work - that it does have to be a lifestyle change :)
 
Good Luck with your plan. Mal's right..don't ever be hungry. Eat all day, just eat a little at a time. You don't want to eat up all that muscle you are trying to build.
 
great day!

Today after I left the Gym I realized something I really really love working out!!! I wish everyone new how great it can be! Havnt been focusing on diet and have lost a few pounds hopefully my new love for working out and cardio will put me where I need to be. Though I know it will get harder to loose the weight from here on out it is always hard for me once I hit 132 and Ive never made it below that! Hopefully I can just keep doing what Im doing Cause its fun!
 
Bad Day!!!

Well today was my day off at the gym and oh what a horrible day it has been Any one else get really really hungry oh about once a month!!! Its horrible I hate having menstrual cycle!!! Anyways no matter the down falls The excersize Im sticken to! Oh ya went shopping tried on some jeans Oh what a difference do i see! Buns of steel kicks booty! I used to have such a horrible butt Not big just small flat and out of shape that I hated trying on jeans Now I think my husbands gonna have to hide the moola!

Not doing so well!!!

Even though I found a new love for excersize and working out It is so easy to get caught up in your life and quit for a few days. according to measurements Ive lost one inch around the waist One inch around the hips and 1/2 inch around the thigh in about three weeks Why do i have to start slacking now!!!:( I guess I shouldnt let myself get stressed out about it and go ahead and go with the flow and make sure I just keep hopping back to the Gym. Eating habits are fine but ive never gotten results with diet in the past few years especially not lost any inches what so ever. I just hope I dont phase right out of this great phase im in!!!! Dont want it to be a phase Want it to be life long.
 
You can do it Modern!!! Don't give up just yet....get back into the swing of things and those inches will be melting off of you!!

Hey Modernaphrodite,

Don't be discourage. Often when you work out, you start building up your muscles, so you don't get to see such a weightloss in numbers unless you have one of those fancy machines that can tell you how many percent of you body thats fat. I'm sure it is just because it feels like a bad day, maybe today will be better. I hope so.
