to sear a steak you need a REALLY hot pan and you put the steak in and let it seal on one side then flip it and do the same on the other.

Your recipes sounds delicious, I may try some of them. I know what you mean about sear steak now, lol. I thought that was a type of steak, I didn't know about.

When I make Rib-eye steaks, I brown them in butter on both sides, then put them in foil and bake for about 45 to 55 minutes. You can add peeled potatoes, onions, black olives, and mushrooms and bake all at once. Sometime I Saute the little can potatoes, mushrooms, and black olives in butter letting them get brown, then lay them beside the steaks and bake together in foil. Using my secret spices, lol.
