To those struggling to target the chest.
I was lifting in the garage earlier and was about to move on to the bench press when I suddenly remembered reading a T-nation article on sand bag training. And I wondered what if instead of bench pressing with the bar, i replace it with a heavy sand bag? Well, I didn't have a sand bag, so I had to make due with a backpack full of weights.
Hands less than a foot apart, bag coming down directly unto the pecs. And you know what? After one set of doing this, I got more of a pump in the chest than doing countless conventional bench presses and dips. I don't remember the last time my pecs got so swollen.
