To happiness...and beyond!

Hello All!!

Thank you for check in Cowboy :seeya:

I've been busy this past week (per usual!) ... but things are going fantastic! It's a sunny warm day here (which will be followed up with rain and snow for the rest of the week!) but I'm so happy! I intend on BBQ'ing and sitting out in the sun (in my winter coat) when I go home hehehe

I entered the "burn" phase of my personal training on Friday..and O.M.G. ... I nearly died! I wanted to curl into a ball and not move only after the first 10 minutes!! hehehehe... I had another session today which caused me to want to do the exact same thing! But then afterwards, I had an AMAZING amount of energy! It was like I was on some kind of drug! I'm pretty sure I could have done laps around my university! hehe

20 side by sides on the bosu ball
20 kayak rows on a bosu ball

And yesterday I finished week 4 of the C25K program!! I was feeling so good, that after I was done, I did an extra 10 minutes of running! i was doing it at a low speed, but I'm so happy that I was able to complete it! I was able to complete 5k (running/walking) in 35 minutes! that makes be SOO happy! The race is a month and a half away!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Food for April 4, 2011
7am: Bowl of oatmeal 1 small banana
10:30am: 1/2 protein bar, 10 oz of water
12:00pm: med bowl of veggie chili, small salad, OJ

Life is going fantastic here! I had a weekend full of friends! (Poker night, movie & dim dum night!) it was great! Mind you, I have put on a pound or two this weekend.

I had my reassessment today- and focusing on the positive, this past 4 weeks I have lost 5.5 inches all over! That makes me so happy! And put on a pound of muscle!! I won't mention the weight loss...it's minimal thanks to dim sum last night!! I'm very happy! And I feel now that I'm entering the burn phase with my PT, and doing running 3 days a week on top of that, I'll REALLY see the weight loss I've been wanting from the beginning.

I'll gladly admit that I'm a slacker on cardio! I find I don't push myself as soon as my heart rate gets up there and I start to turn red. I panic, and then take it down. With the running and most certainly with the burn phase, my heart rate will be sky high!! So as much as I hate doing it, I know I am going to LOVE the result!! :sifone:

Work and school are slowly dying down! *yay!!* And the weather is getting nicer which means rec soccer, tennis, and lots of biking!!! :)

I'm joining my friend's rec league this spring! And I'm SOO excited...I don't know how to play soccer, but it's going to be a blast anyways! And it's something I would never have done a few months ago :) It's all about expanding my comfort zone, meeting new people, and not letting myself hold me back!! [insert happy dancing smilie face]

<3 Jill

P.S.: Oh, and I'm so excited! I'm thinking of a total overhaul of my hair! Blonde, bangs, and layers!! Gotta spice it up and strut my stuff! :D

Check you out!! You're doing so faaabulous......congrats on getting into the 180s :hurray: that's great!!!

Sorry to hear you're having such a shit time with school, I think it piles on everyone at this time of year! Ah just think of how awesome it will be when summer arrives, a good few months off! Roll on April for you! :) I finish May 10th and cannot wait! Do you have any plans for over the summer?

At least if you disappear again we all know not to worry  .....you're just being drowned in sheets of paper - nothing we should be concerned with, haha!

Girl! Just checked out your diary, you're doing so great! your lbs and inches lost are fabulous!!

I can't believe it's almost april! When does school end for you? And when do you get to go home?

Is school work almost finished!! Next week is my LAST WEEK! AHHH! i'm so excited!! :)

We can get through this! :)

Good Morning, Tik
Life can get in the way of so much sometimes. It is great to see you not letting it get in the way of your weightloss. 180's? That is awesome!! I am so proud of you!!

I know about the school thing- I have two kids in University. One is in Education the other in Law School so they are looking forward to the end of the term too. I hope you get the scholarships you applied for- I know how expensive school is and every little bit helps.

Why do exes always pop up when you don't want them too. I think you have the right idea about him. Remember he is an 'ex' for a reason. You probably don't need the drama or the crap that comes along with it. Sounds to me like you know what you want and what you don't want.

How do you like this new person that you have become? I don't know about you but if I was as stressed as you are and had all this stuff heaped on me- I would be eating a chocolate cake or two. At least the old me would have-lol. Isn't it nice to know that no matter what you are going through you don't have to add the guilt of overeating on top of the other stress? Again, I am really proud of how you are handling all this stuff. You can do this!! It is nice to see you back!! Good luck on the next three weeks- it sounds like you are going to be busy!! Take care.

Wow! Education and law! You have some VERY bright children :)Both of those paths are hard, and require A LOT of determination and motivation! Not to mention brain power :)

I've been dealing with stress much better lately! Although, I've had a few slip ups with friends and going out and over indulging...but I feel we all need a few of those every now and again! And if I stick to healthy life choices the rest of the time, then I should be able to treat myself :)

You're doing so great cowboy! I'm so happy to hear that you've almost reached your goal! you deserve it! You work so hard!!

It's also great to hear that you're joining another 10k running program! You mentioned that it's sometimes hard to get motivated without a goal- I totally agree! :) It's nice to have something to work towards! I think it makes you stick to it, and work harder :)

Hope that it's as nice out there as it is here :)

Just thought I'd pop by and have a nose about, well done on the break through into the 180s, and good luck on getting the scholarship

Thanks!! You're doing great yourself! Congrats on your wonderful accomplishment last week! You're doing great! And I can't wait to hear how this week treats you :D

:hurray: 180s is FANTASTIC!!!

I'm glad to hear that you plan to ignore the ex's message. You deserve SO MUCH better than him! The right guy is out there waiting for you, and he'll treat you the way you deserve to be treated - unlike your loser ex!

Stay strong during this crazy next few weeks/months - It won't last forever. I'm so proud of you for sticking to your guns thru all the stress lately! You can do this!!!

Thank you so much Tig *hugs*

I kicked that message to the side, and am moving on! it was hard at first, but it's getting better! I guess I just have to realize that it's ok if it's hard! Regardless, I got to do it :)

Thank you so much for the supportive words Tig! :) You're doing fabulous yourself :)

We can both do this! Yay!! :)

:seeya:

Jill, you're doing great...you are strong. You are focused and determined on your education, exercise, and nutrition. Keep up the good work. As for the elements of your past popping (or pooping) up, sometimes you just have to know when to let go for your own good. Sounds like you have come to that point. Congratulations for your insight and strength.

Thank you BugDude :)

Having such encouraging and supportive people, like yourself, really makes a difference! Coming on here and seeing the support makes me feel like I can do anything! :)

And you're right, the ex is popping (and pooping) hehehe! But I realized that even though it's hard, I gotta push through, and not give him any more time! And I did it (with maybe a little help from some poor diet choices!! oops :leaving: ) and i feel better about it!!

Thank you again for all your help and encouragement! :)

Congrats on the weight-loss!!! 180s, woohoo!!!

I agree with what others have said- there's someone out there that will treat you with the respect and love you deserve. It shows you have great personal strength to not let it affect you- and well done on getting out and partying! You don't need someone elses drama bringing you down!

Thank you!!

And you're right! I am going to find someone fabulous! But, I don't need to find one either! I'm becoming more and more happy with seeing myself grow, accomplish my own goals, and seeing great things in my life!!

And partying with great friends always helps!! hehehehehe!!!!

Thank you again for stopping by!! :)

im so glad to see that you are back.... and 20 pounds lighter!! wahoo!! awesome job. and to do it when you are so busy with school is defintiely something to be proud of.

i just want to say... boys are stupid. they have a way of getting in there and messing with our brains. you seem to be holding strong, knowing what is healthy for you right now. :)

annnnd... last thing... 2 min, 14 sec plank.... *applauds* haha that is a strong core girlie. haha you probably have a rocking six pack that is ready to show. lol keep it up. :)

Hey Katie!! :) You're doing great yourself! Hope everything turns out ok for you and your family :)

And just you wait! I'll have to have challenge you to a plank duel!! hehehehehe :driving:

Yeah they are very bright - must get it from their Mom. I have a 14 year old too that is just as smart- sometimes too smart for his own good-lol.

You are doing FANTASTIC!! You are allowed slipups- everyone has them. You are SO motivated- you are going to be super slim before you know it.

I changed my mind about the 10K I decided to do the 1/2 Marathon instead-. I am going to try it anyway- see what happens. I started my weight loss journey the day after my 49th birthday. I didn't want to be fat for my next decade-lol. As it happens we have a 1/2 marathon running on my 50th birthday- I think someone is trying to tell me something-haha. I am glad you visited us- there are a few of us( judging by how many people post on your diary) that miss your enthusiasm and determination. You are doing GREAT!! Keep up the good work!!

Arghhhhhhhhhh my I phone was being crap and wouldn't let me write more sohad to start a second message to you..

Anyway..... OMG way to go on plank and bike time, that is amazing!!!!

Finally I am with you everyone deserves a second chance - NOBODY deserves 4 or 5!!!! I think your doing the right thing completely with the ex. But I always enjoy knowing mine realise what a mistake they made!!! Enjoy feeling fab about it!!!

I hope the next few weeks fly by for you

xx

Hey girl!

I read that you did your first plank the other day! Congrats!! Planks are sooo hard! I remember when I first started, I could barely hold it for 5 seconds! You're doing great! And I bet you'll notice a change in that time very soon!!!

You're doing so good girlie! I'm so impressed! How are you liking the strength training? Have you noticed a difference!? Dips still kill me...I don't know why. I find the reach back, and position very hard for my body build...it's strange. And I can relate to you and your should pain! I wonder if there are ways you can do the plank that put less stress on your shoulder....I find dropping my butt, and sucking my core in tight, relieves a lot of shoulder pressure!
Keep up the great work!! :) :seeya:

Hey, great job with the plank! Wow! And breaking into the 180's.... :cheers2: Keep it up, girlie!

And about the ex.... It's up to you what you do, but I think you already know how he's gonna make you feel if you two start speaking again.... crappy!

Hey PBL!! Thank you!! It's great to see everyone encouraging me! Pushes me to do a better and harder job :)

And I agree with you totally on the ex front. I got to get him out of there, and enjoy life! Life is too short! And if I'm honest with myself, I didn't enjoy the last few years with him! So it's time to live it up :)

OK!!! HOLD UP!!!

A 1/2 marathon on your 50th birthday!!

Ok...if there was a superman award, it should go to you! That's AMAZING!! What a fantastic goal! (I think this proves that your children's determination and motivation comes from both sides ;) )

LMAO- Superman or Superfool. I think I am getting senile. Some times I don't know what I get myself into-lol. It is going to be an interesting journey to say the least.

Heya, I will try that for the plank next time.

I am loving the strength training, it is def making a big difference to my shape! It really pulls the endorphins out when I train with weights, I am sooo pumped up!

I only like dips because they are the exercise I have cone furthest in as I couldn't do them at all to start with! :)

You are doing so well Hun withyour exercise.

What distance are you up to now with the running?

Charlie
