Tired of being fat. Never been thin.

Here is what I ate today.

2 eggs- fried, 1/4th cup almonds = 350 calories
1 piece of whole wheat toast with 1 tbsp of peanut butter, 1 banana = 300 calories
8 oz low sodium v8 juice, 1/4th cup almonds, one cheese stick = 360 calories
popcorn = 100 calories
Apple and banana = ~200 calories
chicken, broccoli, more v8 = ~330 calories
Calories: Around 1640

I think that you have a pretty balanced day, with lots of healthy choices. How did you feel during the day, were you hungry, tired, full of energy??

I don't know if I could eat that little but I do love my food. If I fall below 2000 for the day I find that I can't keep food off of my mind.

I feel ok, fairly energetic, actually full of energy...problem is that when i get hungry during the day i get REALLY hungry and i'm not always near some healthy food...takes a lot of will power not to succomb to temptation at those points.

But, I donno, it's 7:33 PM and I've had 1300-1400 calories already and I am HUNGRY right now, so we'll see what becomes of this tonight.

When I have reached my calories limit for the day and I am hungry later in the night I reach for a big ol salad :) Has the most bang for your buck! Keeps the hunger pangs away and only add about 30 calories to your day, which is like 2.5 mins on an elliptical... so not too bad!

You're not eating enough.

Please read the sticky posts, especially the one on how many calories you should eat and then wander over to the exercise area and read the sticky posts there.

What you're eating is healthy enough, but you need to balance your calories between too much and too little. Taht's why you're hungry at the end of the day after 1300 calories. Your body NEEDS more food.

Well, i think i've eaten 1900-2000 so far today...little bit of cheating with some grapes so I'm gonna add another 100

bowl of total, v8 juice, popcorn = ~460
subway foot long (no mayo no cheese) = 640
1/4 cup almonds, banana = ~310
Broccoli + popcorn = 150
almonds = 300-320
grapes = 100 ???

2000-2200 I'm guessing today... probably...not sure...1900 at the least...Will be doing an 8 hour shift of pushing carts and constantly walking tomorrow at Fred Meyer! Will read those sticky posts now.

I really don't think I'm eating too little. I have not been losing weight too fast...1-2 pounds a week. But, we'll see...I'll slow down soon if it becomes too fast.

Hi pantheist462,

If you still feel hungry, try eating more solid protein...ie tuna and chicken.
I find tuna is my hunger savior. Its fast and easy to be creative. I mix it with pesto sauce, hummous...anything to make it different so I dont get bored.

I find veggies and fruits are like chinese food.....Im hungry not long after.

You still need to balance out carbs and good fats in your diet too.

Good luck!

Hey Pantheist. What is a pantheist to you? Wikipedia says pantheism is believing that nature and god are the same thing. Is that correct? That's pretty heavy.

technically, I'm a panentheist. To mean, it means that reality, life is God. Everything that has ever happened or been, is or is happening or will be or will happen is God. God is experiencing itself through various forms of consciousness.

Oh, sort of like Hinduism only without Karma, castes, and reincarnation?

Well, I do believe in reincarnation and even karma to a degree, but in more of a New Age scope , as far as Hinduism goes, that religion is so different in different places. It can be polytheistic it can be monotheistic and it can be pantheistic. When I say I'm a pantheist, that's a very BROAD statement. There are many metaphysical beliefs that can go along with pantheism. There can be many different pantheistic religions with different beliefs on reincarnation, karma etc. I tend to believe in most of the statements in the book Conversations With God: Book 1 . I highly recommend that book to any soul.

On to weight loss. I did some of that HIIT today. Man, I gave myself a splitting headache from running. Holy smokes. I only finished 4 cycles, though. I haven't ate a lot today but I ate a ton of crappy crap yesterday...so I wasn't really hungry today. I ate some eggs, broccoli, almonds, more broccoli, lil bit of my vice: popcorn...couple bananas, and a few ounces of orange juice.

Key is protein for me. No junk food. Only drink is water. Lots of meat, watching carbs, trying to get as much protein as possible
, jogging on my days off from work
