Tips on designing a workout?

So I just recently decided that I need a better workout plan and I would like some help please :/
My goal is to build muscle and get bigger.I'm going to be doing a split routine workout program, but I need to know what muscles I should workout together, like I did Back and Bi's together, and then Chest/Tris/Shoulders and then Legs and abs. So what would be the best combination of them.

Back and biceps chest and triceps shoulders and legs. Abs every second session. When you do back and biceps make sure you do your compound exercises first as these use up the most energy. Then you can move onto isolation exercises such as dumbbell curls. Same goes for the other muscle groups. This program is used by many people and works well.

There's no single best combination. Honestly I think someone totally new to regular resistance training should go with 3 fullbody workouts per week. Something like 5 or 6 exercises per workout session.

After 6-8 weeks, you might start changing it up with a push/pull split, or an upper/lower split, and possibly do 4 workouts a week with the weights.

Remember, the goal isn't to be sore or in pain. Slight stiffness is ok but hurting or feeling 'crippled' with pain means you over did it. Not uncommon the first week or so, but its not the goal in the long term.
