Tink's latest and final attempt at skinny!!!

Mal and nc_bmac08 - Thanx guys :D I think I will lay off the cardio til i can breathe a little easier, just seem to be making it worse at the moment! I have tried to work through it but its not working so i must admit defeat and hope that all the coughing will tone up some chest and back muscles! Feeling a little better today so the rest might be working. :D

So today there has been all sorts of crazy shit going on....not gonna detail it in this diary cos i want to be able to read this all when i reach my target without being reminded of horrible stuff! Thus far i havnt reached for the choc (or wine) to make me feel better, so looks like i may have conquered at least a little of my emotional eating! Every cloud.....loll

So here goes

Food for today

Lunch - baked potato with salad and tuna mayo (500 cals roughly)

Dinner - chips and 3 fish fingers with beans (600 cals)

Snacks - fruit corner yoghurt 191 cals, kiwi (50 cals), milky coffee (80 cals) and lots of diet Irn Bru and water.

Exercise - none, nada, zip today is a rest day!

Gonna go and contine to rest and be pretty damn bored! Oh yeah before i go i may as well predict now that i havnt managed to get down to 225 this week. Not surprised as i havnt doen much exercise (altho a bit disappointed cos my cals have been saintly all week!!) Weighed in at 227 this morning which is still 1 lbs down, but we shall see what happens tomorrow! I might drop 2lbs overnight! Then again...loll
 
Feeling better today :D:D Still got that bloody annoying cough but it isnt as sore anymore. Had a fab day with my class and ended up laughing so much this afternoon with them, that i sort of had a choking coughing fit which ermmm dislodged a whole load of stuff that was making me ill...too much info maybe but thank god it finally happened!

So today...ahhh the dream of 225 was shattered well and truly! Last week 228lbs and this week 227lbs :(:( I am happy abt that one pound (one less to worry abt!) but i really wanted to hit 225. Oh well there is always next week and hopefully i will be feeling up to some proper exercise next week :D That should get it shifting! I am 3lbs away from my mini-goal of 224lbs (16st) So this week (if i can breathe) i will be hitting the gym big style to see that no appear!

Still got 4 weeks til i go on holiday so i could still reach the giddy depths of 218lbs if i really stick in and get in with it!!


So stats for today then...

Weight 227lbs
Mood - Happyish and relieved that im feeling a bit better!

Food

Lunch - Fish and chips with beans (600 cals)

Dinner - Chicken, pepper and onion fajhitas, youghurt, rica and 3 tortillas(800 cals)

Snacks - Scone and jam (200 cals), 2 small glasses fat coke 100 cals

Total cals - 1700 ish

Exercise - nope, still not gonna chance it! Will prob have a mile walk with the dog later but thats abt it!

EDIT - couldnt resist the WII fit, only got it a few days ago and havnt had a chance to use it yet, since i was feeling a bit better i gave it a go....so much better that WII sports! Lots of amazing exercises, yoga, aerobics and fun balancing core muscle exercises. I really enjoyed it! Now im coughing like a dervish but never mind :)

One thing tho, when you start out you use your MII character...and when i was weighed it made my MII really fat!! I was gutted! My husband thought it was hilarious until his ended up with a gut! HA serves him right! Managed 40 mins of exericise - low imapct but much better than sitting on the couch all night.

So you really enjoy your wii fit? I'm worried that it will be boring, nothing to occupy my mind while working out.. We already have the wii console, how much does the wii fit cost and what does it include? (if you don't mind my questions)
 
Hi Judy :) The WII fit is amazing - lots of cool aerobic, muscle sculpting and balance games (not boring at all!) For the more localised exercises you work with you personal trainer and its more abt having the correct form and perfoming the reps well. I have found that i concentrate fully on each exercise cos i want to get my form perfect! In the UK it costs around £70 for the WII fit but there are none to be found! I had mine imported from germany and paid £76 (including delivery). On ebay they are going for over £100 i think. Hope that is helpful...I cant reccommend it enough!!!

So weighed in at 226lbs today, 1lb down on yesterday. I think i will wait until friday for the celebrations of any weight loss cos it might come back! Def learned my lesson abt that one!

Had to manouvre my way through drinks with a friend and dinner with the inlaws without breaking the cal budget today...and i managed it!:hurray:

Food for today

Lunch - Banana 100 cals (had no time for anything else)

Dinner - Beef curry 300 cals, rice 300 cals, chapati 100 cals, yoghurt 20 cals, veg curry 150 cals abt 1100 cals all in

Snacks - 2 after dinner mints 150 cals, chocolate star 50 cals, 5 vodka and diet cokes 250 cals, coffee 30 cals

Total cals - Abt 1700 max

Exercise

20 min walk with dog
30 mins aerobics and strength WII fit
10 mins yoga WII

Looks like i made it thru without any real damage - i even said no to a piece of gooey chocolate birthday cake! Unheard of!:willy_nilly: Have to say i was pretty pleased, i could have done without the vodka but i counted it in my cal allowance so its all good!

Tomorrow i have lunch with my friends and then we're gonna see Sex and the City :) No snacking in the movies and a healthy choice for lunch (thinking grilled chicken burger) should get me through wthout breaking the calorie allowance...cant believe im thinking abt lunch tomorrow already! Find it so much easier if i have thought ahead though!

It's been a pretty good weekend so far :D:D Still coughing but its not do bad - perhaps it might actually be going!!:willy_nilly:
 
Thanks for your review on the wii fit. I'm not in a major hurry...but I think I'll have to put it on my watch for it list. :)
 
Lunch out today was a healthy grilled chicken breast and salad in a bun :) Only snack at the cinema was a big pepsi max so still good :D

Need to get my exercise done for today, so a 20 min walk and some WII workouts are in order i think!

Total cals today 1650

Still coughing so i think the exercise will need to be pretty low impact this week but there's nothing wrong with a long walk and it still burns cals! My energy levels are high now so it really is my lungs that are letting me down!!
 
Did 45 mins on the WII and i am an exhausted!!! Love the yoga poses and some of the games, but the super advanced aerobics is just really tiring! And the best bit was that i could still breathe at the end and im only coughing a little! This is becoming more of a cough diary than a weightloss diary!

Was pretty happy yesterday as the in laws were all very complimentary abt my wieghtloss :D I know i have gone down a size but i didnt think it was that obvious so i was pleased.....long may it continue!

Def hoping to lose 2lbs this week. I know that wanting to lose 3lbs last week was pretty daft! I honestly thought i would but hey ho! I still lost one pound and i am trying to get out of the negatove mindset of 'not losing enough, quickly enough' which always bites me after a couple weeks. So i will be pleased that i lost 1lbs - it is one closer to my goal and miles better than gaining!!

So the target for next week is 225lbs (again! I'll get there eventually!) oh the 210s seem far away...lolll

Forgot to measure myself this week so here goes!

Chest - 96.5 cm (38 in) - down 1 cm this week - 4cm total loss
Waist - 99 cm (39 in) - down 1cm this week - 2.5cm total loss
Hips - 117 cm (46in) - down 2.5cm this week - finally down by 1cm total!
Bum - 120.5cm (47.5in) - down 6.5 cm total (kept forgetting to measure this bit!)
Thighs - 63 cm (24.75 in) - 1cm lost this week - 5.5cm loss so far
Calves - 43 cm (17 cm) - stayed the same - 3cm total loss
Upper Arms - 34.3 cm (13.5in) - stayed the same - 2.7cm total loss so far
Lower Arms - 29 cm (11.5in) - stayed the same - no loss so far

You've got some great ideas here I'm gonna steal! :p I like the idea of the rewards. I have my new job coming up so I think they'll all be wardrobe related or possibly stuff like nice new stationery for my training. I do have a bit of a stationery addiction so I think I'll make that my first one :)
The measuring seems like a good idea too, gonna dig out that tape measure from the drawer and give it a whirl...it's been so long since I did though I think the first measurements will be a shock :p

ichigo_zo - Thanx for stopping by :D Im glad that you are going to measure, it has kept me sane on the weeks where the scales have made me really annoyed but the tape measure keeps going down :) The first measurements were a shock to me too, but you can only get smaller now! Next mini goal is 16st (224lbs) closely followed by 219lbs (into the 210s!!!) When i get to 219 then i will buy some new clothes for my summer holiday:hurray: Altho i have kinda started already....loll

Weight - DIdnt do it! Im getting more restrained...
Mood- Tired, still sick and getting vvvvv annoyed abt it all!

Food for today

Breakfast - 80g wholemeal baguette and coffee 190 cals

Lunch - Chicken curry with rice 500 cals

Dinner - Refried bean enchilada with rice and yoghrt 700 cals

Snacks - banana 100 cals, 2 scones 300 cals, small glass milk 80 cals.

Total Cals - 1850 (a little hogh since i did almost NO exercise)

Exercise 30 mins walking

Had very little sleep last night so felt awful today....work is really stressful and although i didnt pig out and kept well under maintenance cals, i still ate far more than i would usually....so the old emotional eating is still not completely under wraps. Not sure if it ever will be tbh...oh well no real harm done.

Need to put up with the whole satff from work on Sat at the annual staff night out......oh dear god it will be awful!!!! Got my cals planned already (yes I am indeed that sad!) so i know i wont be silly and ruin everything but i could do without it!

I'll stop moaning now and go back to bed! Night x
 
Aww, sorry to hear you're not well too. My other half has a theory that changing seasons makes people ill as the temperature changes, perhaps he's right. I've got my keister firmly parked on the sofa today, along with my housemate who is also ill. We have to take it in turns to fetch the medicine :p

Hi ichigo, yep everyone seems to be sick at the moment! I'm going to Tunisia in a couple ofweeks so Im def hoping that its gone by then! My poor husband now has it and was sent home from work early.


Food

Breakfast - 2x roll and tuna 500 cals

Lunch - fish, chips and beans 700 cals

Total cals - Abt 2400...not so good today

Exercise - 2 mile walk (30 mins)

Was pretty hellish today on the food front. Made bad choices at lunch and for snacks so wil def be cutting back to around 1000 tomorro to compensate for the extra. Couldnt believe what i had eaten when i was typing it up!

Ah well onto tomorro....

Your goals sound great. I have a couple too but, I am bad...
I keep buying clothes that don't quite fit me yet, LOL. I've now got a
closet full of clothes that almost fit me, then just a few that fit me but
are too big. I'm in between sizes here and it stinks. I'm right in between
a Large and Medium shirt wise, and pants/shorts wise I'm right in between
a 34 and a 32, so probably a 33, and those are hard to find, at least for me.

Sorry to hear about the sickness that is going thru your
household. I really hope that it's gone in time for your vacation
here in a few weeks like you said. Tunisia sounds amazing :)

I wouldn't try to restrict to 1000 cals tomorrow. 2400 isn't ALL that bad. Just shoot for a good day and that way your body isn't craving things as badly. Keep up the awesome work!

I agree. Depending upon what your basal calorie needs are, that isn't a number that should put on weight. Just make tomorrow a better day without punishing yourself.
 
Thanx guys :) I will try to keep the cals normal but i know myself too well....Im annoyed that my cals got so high today without me really noticing it. So tomorrow i will keep a stricter eye on it! Bit of a control freak i think...loll

Plan of action!

Lunch - 2 wholemeal rolls with ham and salad (500 cals)

Dinner - Grilled chicken, broccoli, cauliflower and new potatoes (600 cals)

Snacks - allow up to 300 cals for snacks thru the day

Exercise - lungs permitting, 2 x 2 mile walks with the dog, 30 mins WII aerobics and 20 mins stretching/yoga

And that will hopefully do the trick :D

Been off work today so no movement has been recorded! Had to phone in sick cos i literally couldnt breathe in without coughing....this is not good - just as i thought it was clearing up a bit.

Oh well, will try to get out for a walk later and see if these stupid lungs canhold up to that:ack2:

I will be AMAZED if i lose anything this week...my fat ass hasnt done much of anything and i am BORED being stuck in teh house and not being able to exercise. Never thought i would MISS exercise but i do - maybe not the exercise itself but def the effect it has on my weightloss.

On a lighter note, i need to figure out what on earth to get my dad for fathers day! He is the most difficult man to buy for cos he has everything anyway! Will do a bit of internet retail therapy and see what i can come up with :)
