Tingling sensation in muscle

Im curious, on a couple occasions I have had a tingling sensation in my muscle, its kind of hard to explain. But this feeling occurs near the end of the muscle. So if Im doing curls, it would happen near the inside joint of my elbow.

It doesnt happen all the time and Im just curious if this is a normal thing.

im not an expert on injury (yet), but i'd say you have slightly damaged your tendon. this may have happened not so much during the exercise but maybe when you were picking up the weight or jolted the muscle slightly.

so I think a few of the tendon fibers have come away from the bone. just rest it for a week and test it to see if its any better, if not see a sports injury specialist i.e. massage, dont bother going to your doctor cos he'll just tell you to rest it for months.

is it just in your arms?
if its all over your body you may be lifting too fast, or you may be over extending your motions during weight training.

Ive gotten it on my right bicep, and on one of the triceps, though I cant remember which one.

Im not doing super heavy weights or anything and I tend to go at a pretty slow pace. The weights I usually do allow me to do anywhere from 8-12 reps

I had this feeling on my bicep about a week ago, and next time I trained them, which would be 5 days later, I didnt have any problems with it and I was doing the same weights.

sounds like it may be something with the nerves.. is it like b4 you get pins and needles kind of feeling or like painful. any numbness???

Its kind of like a pins and needles feel. Kind of like there are little...sparks(only way I can think to describe it) that are going off in my arm at that location. Its not painful really, and I dont really think its numb at all. Its not a comfortable feeling, but its definitely not painful either.

sounds like what i get after ermm never mind that one, but its a nerve thing cns, the stimulation i wouldn't worry about it .. unless it is painful or goes numb..

Nothing to worry about, unless you continue to stimulate this sensation. I used to get this curling with 30s. I just moved to 25s and had no problems. As I got stronger, I am now able to do 30s without the weird sensation. So just work at a lower weight.

yeah i get it in my leg too... i guess its just a nerve being pushed on or somthing !!! hoo knows not too much to wory about i think !

I think I get the same sensation when I sit on one of those shorter toliets, my legs begin to tiggle :p ... It's probably a little bit of a 'nerve impingement'... It could be since you are 'compressing' the nerve contracting the bicep, try checking form, try a different bicep exercise, or like holabuster said, lower the weight... Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse... if it does, then I'd go have it checked out..
