Time2change journal

It's 3 am and I woke myself up because of the constant itch from my dyshidrosis. I scratched so much my foot is raw and bleeding. Being that I was half asleep, I washed it off and rubbed some benadryl on it. It took only about 1.5 second before I felt the extremely painful burn from putting benadryl on a raw, open area. Now I'm totally awake. :(

On a better note, hubby made it home and we went to the gym together. I was able to crank the incline up to 2.0 and keep it there for my walk.

I made cabbage soup for dinner again at the kids request. I was good, but I'm sure I left out an ingredient. Didn't taste the same as last time.

I'm going to try to get back to bed because I have to be up in a couple of hours.

Hi Anne

I am sorry that you are having so much pain with your foot. Pain and a disturbed night is never fun. I hope that it improves very soon.

It is great that your hubby is home. Also brilliant that you got to the gym together. Your hubby is always a good and supportive influence on you like that.

I suspect that you are being too picky about the cabbage soup. If it tasted too odd I am sure that there would have been some comment by the family. The good thing about home made soup is that you know all the nourishing ingredients that go into it.

Hope that you got back to sleep and wake up to a good day (with a less painful foot).

Take care

My scale did not move this morning. I might be because I didn't go to the gym yesterday. Hubby came home Fri. evening, but he had to work locally Sat. He was supposed to work Sun. too, but he finished up last night. It took him 2 hours to get home because of the snow/slick roads and crazy drivers. I should have only taken 45 min.

So, he got home late and he didn't go to the gym either. I went to bed at 9:30.

I've decided from now on I'm going to try to quit complaining. I looked at my journal yesterday and was astonished at how much complaining I've done.:angelsad2:

Today is another day. ;)

Anne

ps. Margaret, thanks for your sympathy regarding my foot. :) It is a pain, but I'm dealing with it.
Hubby will motivate me to go to the gym sometime today. He and I are going to check out this new Mediterranean restaurant tonight. Mmmm.... sounds good!

Hi Anne

Dont worry. It is not unusual for the scale not to move (or not move by much) even though you eat sensibly and exercise.

E.g. My weight has been the same at weighing on Fri/Sat/Sun - 12st 10.2lbs

Here is the fri/sat bits from my spreadsheet
Friday.... 30/11/2007 12st10.2 27865 10.33
Saturday 01/12/2007 12st10.2 29164 10.81
Sunday.. 02/12/2007 12st10.2

So far today (sun) my pedometer has 27,997 steps, 10.45 miles

You earn the loss and the body lets it happen when it is ready. I am not worried about me.

Dont worry about not getting to the gym yesterday - sometimes things just happen like that. The main thing is that you try and go often. It is now the exception if you do not go - not the norm.

It will be great if you and hubby go to the gym. You will enjoy it and it will do you both good.

Dont worry about complaining - we all like to have a good grumble at times. We should not expect ourselves to be some sort of Pollyanna.

Indeed if we are feeling down and then binge - it is valuable looking back to know that you were feeling down before the binge. We then know to be wary of a binge next time we feel down. That puts it a little simplistically - but I am sure that you get the idea.

Keep looking after your foot. As you know from our walking - our feet can help us lose a lot of weight.

Take care

I have been so sick this past week. I did go to the Dr. and got a prescription for something that will help my SAD. Unfortunately, there are side effects and one of them is tiredness. That's putting it mildly. I think I have slept this whole week away. When I'm not sleeping I'm nauseous. These side effects aren't supposed to last, and I hope like hell they stop.

I haven't been to the gym all week, but I have lost some weight. The scale said this morning 188.0. On this medicine, I have no want to eat anything. I have been trying to eat, but the food makes me even more nauseous.

I'm just checking in. I hope once this gets in my system and is working right, I'll be able to get to the gym and feel like a real person again.

Anne

ps thank you Margaret for thinking of me.

Hi Anne,

I am so sorry that you are so ill. I hope that you feel much better very soon.

It is no surprise that you have not been to the gym all week - athletes and sporty types dont go when they are ill.

Take good care of yourself
