I'm in for the Challenge!!!...I say let's START today!!! :D!!!...We can do it lady!!...I40's here we come!! ;)!!!...I weigh in on Friday...when do you!?

I weigh in on Wednesday's so Tuesday's I'm always extra good! I weigh myself every morning however only use the scale at WW to track my weight. i'm so excited to be in the 140's! This is going to be a good challenge! Yesterday I really kicked butt!
Here's how yesterday went:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - instant regular oatmeal & mixed berries
Snack - apple
Exercise - ok so I went to the gym to sign up and started on the treadmill - was 20 min in and starting to sweat and I seen an old friend - so we started chatting and she was telling me about a class she was going in take that was just about to start - it's called 20-20-20, so I decided to take it with her since I was skipping aerobics again, so we did a 10min warm-up, 20 min intense step aerobics, 25 min strength & abs and 5 min stretch (not sure why they call it 20-20-20). The class ended and my friend told me she was staying for the next class Zumba - I was so sweaty and hungry but decided to stay with her and did the whole Zumba class!! 2hrs and 20 min at the new gym was an excellent start I thought! I was so tired and hungry by the time I was leaving and decided at that point I wasn't going to make it back for a morning work-out but I was ok with that. Tomorrow morning will be a different story.
D - curves bar (was so hungry when I walked in the house I had to eat that right away) then made a salad - mixed greens, carrot, red pepper, tomato, cucumber, olive oil & balsamic vinegar & left over turkey (approx. 3 oz)
Snack - sugar free pudding cup, some of the hunnies popcorn & a 1 point peanut butter bar.
Seemed like a lot of snacks but my dinner wasn't that filling and I was exactly in my allowed points for the day. Can't wait to kill it tonight at spin class! I'm thinking this is going to be a great week - I love my new gym!

Wow... off to a WONDERFUL start at your new gym! That is great for you! I guess it's okay now that you skipped it this morning :p AWESOME work!!! I'm excited for you :) I was doing the same thing with the snacking last night - I think it was just because my body wanted SOMETHING after a pretty intense workout, I just didn't know what to give it! But it wanted food! LOL my roommate that went with me to the cycling class too was snacking like crazy when we got back, so I didn't feel so bad about it :)

I'm really excited for you that you are having such a good week! I feel like I need to be a little smarter with my food choices this week... and drinking water!!! I keep forgetting! You know what I'm gonna do right now? I'm gonna put a post it note over my desk that says "DRINK WATER" haha :D

TTYL!

Thanks girls! Coming here and posting this morning and then going and reading everyone's updates from the weekend really made me rethink that burger and I stuck to my oatmeal!!
.

hehe girl you crack me up!!! :) You remind me of myself.

One day, back in february when i first started living healthy, i went to mcdonalds because i really REALLY love quarter pounders with cheese, fries, and a sweet tea.

Well ill tell you what i did. i bought the meal, brough it back to work, and for some reason curiosity hit me and i went online to view nutritional contents.

i was in SHOCK that my meal was over 1100 calories!!!! that was almost my days alotment right there. and i threw that sucker away and made a sandwich and had some fruit. i could eat it because i felt actually nauseous after seeing what i almost put in my body... after having just worked out the night before.

( so theres another trick for ya next time if temptation does take over!!!)

good for you on looking for a gym membership. If there is a planet fitness near you, they have a $10.00 a month program and no membership fee or cancellation policy. Judgement free zone... LOVE it.

Take care!!

Ya the snacking is becoming a night time habbit for me and I don't want it to be - before I wouldn't snack at all after dinner and I need to get back into that. I've been thinking more about buying some protein powder because I don't get enough protein and it would be a better choice for a snack after a work out - or before for that matter. There are just so many options and choices out there, it's a little scary.

Hi CG,

Im back after an amazing LOOONG weekend, trekking, sunbathing, walking, eating lots of potatoes and drinking a lot of butter tea.

Looks like you are doing really really well. So happy for you. And the new gym sounds awesome. Keep up the good work. I'll check in on you later.

I think that's why I found your journal so motivating was because you reminded me of me :) And I want to succeed just like you!

There isn't a planet fitness in town but a McFit which sounds similar but they didn't offer classes and I use those the most so I signed up at Athletic Club - $40/mth and a one year contract. It's the nicest facility in town and they offer everything! My work pays for half so I justified the cost.
Thanks for stopping by Melissa! :waving:

Ok so I went out and bought some Biggest Loser Protein Powder - 50 cals, 6 grams protein & 6 grams fiber per scoop. It doesn't seem like very much protein per scoop but was the only one I noticed with 6 grams of fiber and with WW the points are based on cals & fiber so I decided to start with this.
I think I'm going to have one scoop with water before spinning and for dinner I'm going to cut up some pineapple & frozen banana and have it in a smoothie. I'm excited and hope it tastes good. Let you know tomorrow!

Really Amazing work yesterday at the GYM!! :D!!!...I feakin LOVE IT!!!

...I commend you on your salad when you are SUPER HUNGRY...that's the hardest time to stick to it, but you did it!! Way to go!!!...And that class sounds Intense!!...I have a Zumba video at home...Sounds like you had fun!!

...You are really SUCH AN INSPIRATION with your workouts and good eating...keep it up!!! :D!!...Can't wait to make it til the 140's with ya!....;)!!! ...Good job on picking up some protein powder. I love having shakes. It makes my life so much easier!

Thanks Alta! Can't wait to make it to the 140's with you too! I honestly think since we set up the friendly challenge I have been pushing myself harder! I found out I have a meeting at lunch so I can't go to my WW meeting and will have to go to the drop in Friday morning. I'm not sad about not weighing in today because I could use a couple more workouts but I hate missing the meeting and seeing how everyone in the group made out during the past week - they would probably have talked about resisting the Halloween candy urge and I probably could have used that advice.
So yesterday was a great day, here's how it went:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds (surprisingly I am not getting sick of these because I have been switching up the yogurt flavour).
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - big salad (same as dinner yesterday) with left over turkey & ff tomato, oregano dressing.
Snack - 2 scoop's protein powder w water (was expecting it to taste chalky but it didn't and wasn't a strong taste either). 2 scoops is only 1 WW point
Exercise - 1 hr spinning and abs class - 50 min bike, 5 min abs, 5 min stretch
When I came home from spinning I wasn't starving like I normally am and I think it was because of the protein drink I had before the class.
Snack - 1 point caramel bar
D - Protein shake - 1 small frozen banana, fresh pineapple, frozen blueberries, 10 oz water, 2 scoop's whey protein powder. (next time I won't use as much water and maybe a couple ice cubes)
Snack - 1 point peanut butter bar
I wasn't even really hungry for the snack - just a habit to have one every night now. The protein shake really filled me up!

And this morning.....I did it!:hurray: I woke up at 5:40am and went to the gym! I did the treadmill 32 min - 3 min warmup, 7 min at 3.7 speed, incline 3.5, 10 min 5.2 speed, same incline, 5 min 3.7 speed, 6 incline, 3 min 5.3 speed 3.5 incline, 2 min 3.7 speed, same incline then cool down 2 min.
Then I used the abs and back machines and went and showered and feel great at work this morning! I'm hoping to get into a routine where I do that 2-3 mornings and continue with my classes at night. I wish I never had to work and I could work out all day like the biggest loser contestants. I'm on such a high this week and can't wait for weigh-in on Friday - I am hoping the scale goes down for the last week of this challenge!
Time to check some journals!:seeya:

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I don't even know what else to say. You have done SUCH an amazing job this week sticking to your workouts and eating healthy. I am SO proud of you!!! :)

Thanks Sarah - it's thanks to you, and all my other girls on here (sorry I don't have any "boy" regulars yet) that I'm really pushing it this week! I do feel like I am doing awesome and it's really showing on the outside. Last night was the first time I really made a break through about how I look. I normally look at other heavier people and compare myself to them and last night in aerobics I was looking at other ladies in the mirror at the front of the room and if I were to just look at them face on I would think I looked like them and then when I looked at both of us in the mirror together I noticed I was a lot smaller - it was a really weird feeling. I didn't mind looking at myself while doing the workout and I normally make sure to never make eye contact with myself and just stare at the instructor. It was a good feeling. I'm actually starting to feel like I weigh 154 pounds and not 200. It's just weird to not always be the fat girl anymore. Takes some getting used to but I'm liking it and it's just giving me more motivation to keep pushing!
So here is how yesterday looked:
Exercise - 32 min treadmill (some jogging, some incline - mostly 3.7 speed at 3.5 incline) ab & back machine
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - two cups mint green tea
L - 1 can tomato & rice soup - no crackers
Exercise - 15 min treadmill (3.7 speed, 6 incline) 1 hr new body class - used 3lb dumbbells for 50 min.
D - My hunnie had this ready for me when I got home (such a nice surprise!) 1 corn on cob w light margarine, brussel sprouts, yams cut into fries and baked, w ketchup, 4 oz lean pork chop w honey mustard.
Snacks - sugar free choc pudding cup, 1 point caramel bar, 1 bite hunnie's hot dog (he made three hot dogs for a snack after that huge dinner we had - they smelled so good I had to have a bite)
Just over by one point today or maybe two depending how many points that bite was.
Total steps was a record - 22894!! I wanted to walk around to make it 23000 but I was so tired and lazy by the time I hit the couch.
Two more sleeps until Halloween! I can't wait! I hope today and tomorrow go by fast!:seeya:

:smilielol5:..."Boy Regulars"...hahah...You crack me up girl! ;)

...In regards to Pushing it this week...OMG...I know..you ARE!!!..:D!!...Really,...I am so proud of you!!!...I adore hearing that you can see results in the mirror now, because I started noticing yesterday myself too!...I am starting to see my arms get a little toner, my buns a little tighter, and my abs (;) in the process to be "abs"..but whateva...lol)...looking less puffy. :D!!!

...Our little friendly challenge has definitely made me step up my game right now!!
....You are like a Consistent Machine...and I'll be damned..if I'm left behind...hahah! :p...;)...you and Sarah...are doing Fantastic..and I need to stick with you ladies.....:D!! :iagree:!!!

...Recognizing yourself as a thinner person, will take time and it's something that you will begin to adjust to after a while I think. Personally, I completely understand you!..I see the same person..no different in my eyes, until I re look down.

...I know what you mean about not looking at yourself in the mirror too while you work out, because it's demotivating to see your body like that...I would do that too. :p...Hey do what works and Gets the JOB DONE right!?!? ..regardless...happy you are liking what you are seeing!!!

..Really though...I am SUPER EXCITED for weigh in tomorrow!!!...Are you weighing in the morning?! or afternoon gym time?! !!!...I wanna do the same as you!!...HAHA!!...no cheats here baby!! hahah!!!

Hi CG, thanks for leaving some cheer on my journal. Really need that right now.

Don't u just love the self-confidence healthy living brings? Have your friends and family been complimenting you on how great you look? And the loosening of clothes is the best feeling ever, isn't it? You are doing soo well, CG. Totally inspires me to stay on track too.

Have a good rest of the week. Weekend is sooo close. :)

Yes I am loving everything that healthy living brings! I have been getting more comments at work but not the best comments - I work with all men. Some say I am disappearing, one said I am going to look anorexic if I keep losing - which is no where near the truth! They are all really big men and think you should eat a burger every day! My sisters are coming home for Christmas so I am excited for them to see me! They are going to be shocked I think - we talk lots so they know I am losing but I don't think they would have ever thought I could be the same size as them or smaller!!

So I went to WW and.... I'm down 2 pounds!!! I'm really excited and closer to 149! I have a meeting so I will update more in a bit. :seeya:

 !!!...Girl.....HECK YA!!!

...2 lbs is AMAZING!!! :D!!!...I'm so exstatic for you!!!! :D!!!!

...You worked hard, and you deserve that!!!!!!!!!

....140's here we come!!!!!! :auto: 2 weeks might be about right?!!...I'm hoping NEXT week..but we'll see right?!?!...Maybe we'll drop like 5 out of nowhere...;)!!...hahah!!! :sifone:.....still have to weigh myself later!!!

Great news :) 2 pounds is awesome AND a very healthy number to be losing in a week. You must be so proud of yourself! Christmas is 2 months away and I bet you'll be to your goal by then if you keep doin' what you're doin' :) Your sisters will be blown away!!!

PS - I wanna see some pic updates soon!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, HAVE A FUN WEEKEND :p

Hey Sarah, I am happy but would be happier if you were down too - honestly it doesn't feel as good. I'm sure next week I will be up and you'll be down and that's probably just the way it is going to go - it's so nice though when we both lose.
I'll post some Halloween pics hopefully Monday! Hope you have a great weekend too.

So yesterday was a good day, here's how it looked:
Exercise - woke up at 5:45 and went to the gym! 20 min on eliptical, 15 min stepper, abs & back machine.
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - 6 inch veggie sub - no cheese on 9 grain whole wheat - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, black olives, mustard
Snack - protein powder - 2 scoops w water
Exercise - 1 hr spinning and abs class - 50 min bike, 5 min abs, 5 min stretch
D - Big salad - mixed greens, shredded carrot, radish, cucumber, orange pepper, black olives, snow peas, green onion, 1 can flaked tuna in water, drained, 1/2 tbsp olive oil & balsamic vinegar
Snack - 4 triscuts & jam, 1 point peanut butter bar
Total Steps 13060
So since I am down 2 pounds today I know that is going to make me think I can drink and eat more this weekend and I wish I didn't think that way - I even try to tell myself not to think that way but I just know that is what is going to happen and then I am going to be mad Monday and feeling like crap. So tonight I am staying in and cleaning the house - day off from the gym and aerobics (I've worked out 6 days straight and need a break). Tomorrow morning I am signed up to do an hour kettlebell interval circuit class which I have heard is more intense than a bootcamp workout. I also plan to eat really well all day before the drinking begins. I have been told there is going to be pizza at the party we are going to Saturday night and that might be my downfall so I am going to try and avoid it or get really busy doing something else when they put it out or go outside for some fresh air or maybe get a glass of water. Then there are the Halloween treats - I don't know how I am going to avoid those yet - I haven't even bought treats to hand out to the kids yet because I am afraid I will eat it. It's going to be a tough weekend and I know right now I am getting wasted tomorrow night so I am just going to enjoy it and try my best - I'll let you know Monday how it went and hopefully have some pics to show! Happy Halloween everyone! Good luck!:waving:

Phew, that's a lotta veggies, way to go!
Thanks for stopping by, I know what you mean about the Hall. candy - I've been snacking on it all week, part of the reason I havent posted lately. But I will try to put up a pic, I'm not doing much for the actual holiday, my mom and her friend are here, so i'll be hanging out with old people, he he. We're gonna go downtown and shop maybe go eat dinner out. I havent decided if I will be with or sans costume. Anyways, Way to Go on the exercise front too. I hate getting up earlier than the sun, so props to you for being so dedicated. Also that Ketlleball thing sounds killer, youre brave to try it!!
Good luck and talk to you later,
Ashley :waving:
