So I thought it's about time I started a diary, I'm sure it's going to help me lose weight!

My Stats:
Age: 19
Current Weight: 12 stone 1lb (169lb)
Target Weight: 9.5 stone (133lb)
Height: 5' 9''

Let the journey begin!

So today was a good day!
The sun was shining, my exams are over.. Amazing!

(EDIT: I've just taken my top off that I was wearing today to reveal a lovely red line across my chest. Niiiiice :S )

In terms of food, today I have had:
medium-large bowl of bran flakes with semi skimmed milk, 2x 0% fat yogurts, and a small jacket potato with baked beans and fish in butter sauce.
(I'll probably have a snack later, possible stewed rhubarb and low fat custard)

I know my calorie intake for today is a little low... but I didn't wake up until 11... wooops!

At the moment I can't really do "proper" exercise, as funds are low and I need a sports bra and decent trainers! So today I walked for 3.5 hours. Most of it was brisk walking, until I got a bit of a blister :(
Can't wait until the 1st of June so I actually have some money, then the real exercise can begin! I'm fed up of being confined to my room doing workout DVDs!

I know how you feel. I don't have many ways to work out. I currently play a lot of Dance Dance Revolution. I want to get a bike and start cycling, though.

Good luck!

Hi Taylour, thanks for stopping by :)
I'm home now, which means I can finally start cycling again woohoo!
Best of luck on your journey :)

So today, was not so good. I haven't been able to get much exercise in, as I was moving all my stuff back home from uni. So, unless carrying loads of boxes and running up and down stairs multiple times counts as exercise, I'm pretty bummed!

Foodwise, today also wasn't good at all :( mainly due to the stupid car ride home!
Breakfast (10.30am) - Bran flakes with semi skimmed milk
Snack (4pm) - Orange Jubbly Ice Lolly
Dinner (8.30pm) - Battered Cod and a handful of oven chips and a small serving of baked beans... plus 3 glasses of champagne... eeeek!!!
although, the champagne was delicious ;)

I haven't even drank any water today! Just a litre of diet lemonade... arghh! Talk about not sticking to your goals much!

Tomorrow WILL be better :)

I think I've done pretty well today!

Food/ Drink:
Bowl of bran flakes with semi skimmed milk
small chargrilled chicken pasta for lunch
0% fat yogurt
homemade (by me!) leek and potato soup with one slice granary bread
2 litres water
Pint of fosters
Small glass champagne

Exercise:
Quite a bit of hill walking
exactly 1 hour hula hooping (does this count as exercise?!)

It was so nice to see a couple friends today after so long, except now I'm a little bit lobster red on my upper half... good times!

Another day and no change on the scales... soo frustrating!

I messed my foot up today :( I don't really know what's wrong with it, but it's slightly swollen and it hurts to walk!
But in better news I got a wicked tan today ;) Since when is it this sunny in England?!

Todays Exercise:
60 mins hula-hooping
60 mins dog walk with a bit of running (to get away from bugs) and jumping (i hate long grass touching my legs, I'm scared I'm going to get tics!)
I even picked up the courage to walk around in my bikini top! slightly embarrassing, but I'm pretty proud!

Food/ Drink:
2x 0% fat yogurts
1 slice granary bread with butter
jacket potato with beetroot and low fat cottage cheese
bottle of budweiser
About 2 litres water

Today was a pretty good day, the scale finally moved... woohoo! And I've managed to get round to unpacking some of my stuff. It's so much effort!
Think I may have eaten a little too much today though... I don't really know!

Food/Drink:
2x Creme Caramels
Scrambled egg and beans on 2 slices granary bread
1 slice granary bread with butter
3 cups black coffee (trying to get some bowel movements :S)
stir fry (just noodles and veg)
6 glasses water

Exercise:
60 mins hula-hooping
100 "girly" push ups
45 mins dog walking
100 squats

Aghghghhghghghhghg I've done so badly today!

I've done barely any exercise, my muscles are screaming at me a little bit from yesterday! So I've only managed to do some crunches and similar exercises, and a tiny bit of yoga :(

And I've been snacking a lot today! Arghhhhh, I feel so bad for it now!!

Food/Drink:
1 Black coffee
2 Slices granary bread with butter
10 cherry tomatoes
1 Small banana
1 slice granary toast with peanut butter and cottage cheese (I know, i'm a disgusting person... it just tastes soooo good together!)
2x 0% fat yogurts
Bowl of coco pops with semi skimmed milk
Bowl of potato and leek soup
1 litre water

Is this a particularly bad day foodwise?! It just seems way more than I usually eat... booo!

Bad news is, it's pretty unlikely I'll be getting back on track tomorrow! I'll try to do a lot more exercise tomorrow (hopefully my muscles will be feeling better!), but I'm going for a night out in town which means alcohol consumption.... calories calories calories!
Think I'm going to look up which alcohol has least calories in... maybe I'll feel better about myself then!

Hope everyone else has had a good day!

Ughhh man, its like... quarter to four. I have to leave for work at midday, I hope I'm not hungover! I'm surprised I can type this well, it is taking me a while though!

Awesome night out tonight, only bought 2 drinks... and other people bought me the rest! Amazing.
Though, I did give in to the cheesy chips at the end of the night. Nooooo! Gonna have to update my food diary and stuff for yesterday (today?!) tomorrow before work... if I can actually wake up haha!

Ahh such a good night. Think I may have slightly fallen in love with a barman in one of the clubs in town. Apparantly he's gay though :'(
Bad times!

Ah talking of bad times... how many empty calories have I consumed through excessive drinking and cheesy chips?! Boooo!
Back on track on maybe sunday... I have a feeling work tomorrow isn't going to be too good!

Love love xxx

OH. MY. GOSH. Totally DO NOT remember writing that last post at stupid'o'clock in the morning haha! Deary meee.

So yeah, seriously fell off the wagon this weekend! Had a great night out friday night, my first day back at work was actually good! I did feel a little left out as the other people there my sort of age-ish already knew each other, and it was the first time I'd met any of them. But the food. Oh gosh the fooooood. (I work for a catering, i.e. for like weddings and parties and things).
I personally dont think I did too badly, had quite a lot of new potatoes though... and a chunk of chocolate brownie cake with vanilla bean ice cream... and half a glass of pink prosecco. I did try a bit of monkfish, but.. I jst don't really like fish! I'm fine with cod, pollock, and haddock so far... but I WILL eat fish... one day.

Also, lost my food diary! So gonna have to start a new one tomorrow. Good Times.

Also also alsoooooo, I need some advice, if anyone's actually reading this?
I'm moving back up to my flat for a few days which I have fully moved out of... which means I have no crockery/cutlery/pots and pans etc...
What will I actually be able to eat? Except for pizza that is :/

Hey there, Your diary is really interesting because its made of all your running thoughts, which I love..lol
May I suggest first of all, because you are moving out.. start building up your kitchen stuff? It really does help. Get a deep pan or wok to start. With that you can do anything from scrambled eggs, stir fry and soup, to mashed potatoes. When i fist lived on my own, i used my wok almost to death..but it really was versatile.
If you have to eat out for a bit, see if the take out places have healthier choices. Our pizza places also have salads and chicken.
Make sure you are drinking lots of water (that's something I struggle with) it really does aid in weight loss... you need to be hydrated or your body will start taking fluids from your muscles.
Walking is great, free, and it works!
I know you will find tons of support here, best wishes.
Michelle

Heyyy :) Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the advice! I think I might have to eat out at some point, a farewell meal and all that!
Basically, I had all my kitchen things up in my flat, but I moved out of my flat and took all my stuff home with me, so I'm only going up for my summer ball (on friday) then going straight to a friends house for a week afterwards! So I don't really know what to do haha, but I won't be able to cook or have a plate or anything!
I'm thinking of maybe just getting paper plates and plastic cutlery and maybe just getting food that can be done in the microwave... it's going to be a rough few days!

Ahhhhh! I haven't been on here for sooo long...
Which means I must have fallen off the wagon for... 2 WEEKS
Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.
I haven't been able to weigh myself over these two weeks, as I was at a friends for a while and have been busy busy busy, but also naughty naughty naughty.

Also, too much drama right now! Plus tom's coming for a visit later on :S

The amount of alcohol I've drank and food I've eaten is really making me not want to look at the scales. So I have decided to only weigh myself on mondays, starting from next monday :)

LETS GET BACK ON ITTTT. Gotta be serious now. Want to look good by the time I go back to uni!

Todays exercise:
100 minutes brisk walk with dog, occasional jogging

Todays food/drink:
2 strawberries
small chocolate brownie
1 cherry
pitta bread with coleslaw, lettuce, cucumber and cheddar
bowl of sweet potato and red pepper soup
4 glasses water
2 glasses diet cola
1 glass strawberry milkshake (prebought)
1 glass strawberry milkshake (homemade)

time to find out how many calories i've had today... wuhhoh

No diary entry for today... i totally forgot to record what i was eating today! But I did have a lovely ride on one of my horses... hopefully I won't be aching too much tomorrow!

Anyway the point of this post is, I have decided that I WILL be under 12 stone by the end of the month. I CAN DO THIS!

Hello!

Good to see you back - you had been gone for a while.
Like Michelle, I also enjoy reading your stream-of-consciousness journal. :)

Don't worry about what you have done or not done in the past. It doesn't help.

Instead, focus on what you are going to do now and in the future to reach your goals.

Every day is a new day - a new chance to get it right.

Keep at it!

Hi Cord! Thanks for stopping by, it's nice to have visitors!
I wholeheartedly agree, need to forget the crap things, they don't matter anymore! It's the future that counts :)

Todayyy I think was goood, though I've done no exercise, I've been feeling pretty groggy after last nights heavy drinking!

Food/drink:
3 litres water
2 apples
basmati rice with brocolli, spices, onions, sultanas and mushrooms (we have no food in the house, it was the best i could come up with for lunch!)
a dozen or so medium cut chips, with a small piece of battered cod and reduced salt, reduced sugar ketchup
small glass of white wine

All in all, no too darn shabby!

Tomorrow is going to be stupidly hectic. I have work in town from 9.30am -1.30pm, then I'm going to have to rush to get lottssss of fruit and veg for the summer shake up challenge, then have to get home (about a half hour walk) for 2.30 to go to my other work! Arghhhhh!
Ah well, at least I'll have some money rolling in! :D
Probably won't be able to eat much... will have to have a decent breakfast! At least I'll get some exercise from my jobs (they can be pretty hard graft at times!)

Hey thanks for stopping by my diary :)
We seem to have some things in common like we're both from the UK, both 19, both in uni and both drink quite frequently! lol
Sounds like your doing well so far, we all slip up its just important we keeping going and just let it motivate us more!

Hey Kirsty! Ha, I think all uni students enjoy a drink or fifteen... haha! Which uni are you at?

Ok, so I've been a bit crap at updating this... basically I've been working non stop, and when I haven't been working I've been sleeping! But I see my jobs as massive workouts... definitely work up a bit of a sweat doing them!
Been eating loaaaads of fruit and veg, decided I'd go into town on a dreaded saturday to go to the market (why town is horrible on a tuesday and a saturday, so busy!), so i bought nectarines, cherries, cucumbers, avocados, some dried apple and some pumpkin seeds.
I know full well that I can just get them from a supermarket, but I feel better getting it all from the market for some reason?!
Going to go again tomorrow, FINALLY have some time to myself! See what little treasures I can pick up!

Think I'll leave updating my food diary for today (I've written it all down in my notepad, so it's all cool!), time to go walk the dog!

So today was a day of unbelievable boredom. Like, unrealll. Both the friends I was meeting today cancelled on me, and I am completely and utterly fed up with it. ONe of my friends I haven't seen in literally months, even though I've been home for a few weeks and she literally lives five minutes up the road. The other friend I don't mind so much, at least I saw her like, last week!
So yeah, crappy day really!

Food/drink:
Portion of cherries
Chicken and avocado salad, with lettuce, baby spinach, pumpkin seeds, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a tablespoon of french dressing
can of fosters
apple
portion of strawberries
another portion of cherries

I'm feeling pretty hungry atm, so I may have this yogurt thats in the fridge... it's been staring at me!

Exercise-wise, I only walked my dog for 45 minutes. Poor Effort!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day... apart from the fact that I'm going for drinks with a friend! Think I had better just stick to the good old vino...
