Time to do the Can-Can

Here goes!!!!

My diary . . . . .

So, I had my wisdom teeth removed on Friday - it was not a pleasant experience. I got home and took some Oxycodone and ended up fainting, hitting my head and seizing. Not a great weekend . . . it turns out that not eating for anesthesia combined with a very strong percocet is not a great idea.

Anyway, I have been living off of very soft and liquidy foods this weekend (Ensure, soup, pudding). And today was the first day I could eat relatively normally. I had a few donuts and some mashed potatoes!!! It was great!!!!! Food!!!!! Actually, let me rephrase that: non-liquidy food!!!!!!

In terms of weight loss, I am well on track. I am planning on losing 40lbs by the end of March - so about 2lbs per week. The worst thing is that I haven't been at the gym since getting my wisdom teeth removed and I probably won't be able to go for another week or so.

I currently weigh 144lbs and 5 feet tall - and on a typical day I eat around 1,800 calories and burn off 600-800.

So here we go again. After a few weeks of having my wisdom teeth removed, I had dropped to 140. However, after re-discovering food I've gained six pounds - so Will have to work extra hard to get back on track!!

Ok - wow I failed! I was starving today and I ordered pizza. A medium pizza from Dominos . . . but I ended up eating the whole thing! I feel so ashamed. And although I have a very strict diet and exercise regimen I wonder what I can do to stop binging from time to time.

What can you do? Well, if you're anything like me, don't make it so strict. Granted, I've got a lot more weight to lose than you so I can be a little looser, but if you have the attitude of I can never eat Dominos pizza again or I failed and you're starving because you haven't eaten enough during the day then those things combine and whamo, you binge on a whole pizza. I did the same thing a little while back. I find it's better to let myself have a slice or two for dinner now and then ... in the long run, I eat fewer calories, lose more weight, and am far less stressed out about my diet.

Thanks for the feedback!

I know there's nothing much to do, but I did spread the pizza out during the day (I ordered some in the morning), I had a few pieces for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I find that if I am not super strict then I end up falling way off the wagon. In terms of psychology (specifically willpower) I am a sophisticate - aka. I know I occasionally have problems with self control, but I am aware of it. I would like to achieve perfect self control where there are no inconsistencies. Oh well . . .we will see . . .
