Time to Divorce the Fat!!! The Journey to the new me.

Thanks for the encouragement guys - it REALLY helps! And Hi mellow- thanks for the pm - I havent been here 5 days yet but I will respond when I can:)

Day 2:

So day two has been a bit challenging but I have done it! Last night I started cooking my food that I needed (chicken, veggies, and salmon) for today at around 10pm. My husband thought I was crazy because I was up actually cooking instead of going to bed. I just couldnt get to it any earlier with helping my kids, doing some work and then picking up the house.
I know as I get use to this eating I will get better at it etc but this is only day 2 so I think so far I am doing good. So I am cooking dinner and my husband who is about 20lbs over weight asked that I cook for him too. I seriously about had a heart attack. He said he could see I was really determined and that if figures what way to support me other than joining me. So I cooked him up some as well and labeled all his foods and got them ready for him today.

So today was a good day. Foods are on point, water is good, and I am starting to feel better. I am sore from yesterday but I know over time that will go away. My Cardio today kicked my tail in a good way...but it made me realize I am very out of shape!! LOL

My office also asked me to join them for lunch today and I politely declined and said my meals were in the fridge. I know I am allowed a free meal or two a week by Stew...HOWEVER, I do not want to use that just because someone wants to go out to eat. I am really determined to get into shape and stay that way!

I know life is not always perfect but today I could say no and I did. I am hoping that my healthy eating will rub off on my coworkers! LOL

I do have a question for anyone that cares to answer. Today I have to eat 5 meals. My 5th meal is at 6:00pm EST. I then have 2 hours of grueling tennis pratice tonight starting at 7pm EST. When I say grueling I mean grueling. It is not where you just stand around and hit the ball... you are moving, and playing, and moving some more.

After every pratice I am always STARVING even if I eat right before the practice starts. Any suggestions on what I could afterwards that would not hurt me?? I am open for suggestions here...

Then tonight when I get home I have to cook my foods and prepare them out for tomorrow. :)

Thanks!!

First off great job with the day. You did very well to get through all the obstacles in your life that is a big step in the right direction. Most would have made and excuse and cheated or missed meals. Give yourself a pat on the back.
For after tennis try having one scoop of protein powder with 1 oz almonds mixed in or you can mix 1 tablespoon of peanut butter with the proteinpowder.
Good Luck and great job

congrats on the day! i know it must have felt great for your husband to hop on board also.

a protien shake would be fine, or maybe some cottage cheese? if you eat that stuff.

Day three is in the books. I am sticking to my program. The only problem I had today was I could not work out at the gym. Since I do not have weights at home I did not work out.

I went to the gym, but due to a bad storm they had no power and would not let anyone end. At least my workout was not something I could control. And they close at 8pm and still storming so do you think I should do some cardio tonight? Or should I just wait til tomorrow?

My food is spot on. Finally the hungary all the time feeling is starting to go away. And I am getting better with my water. I will end up today at about 100 ounces. This is someone that hates water! I hate it... I hate how it has no taste, and just never drink it...LOL So I really feel water logged right now but I know it will subside and that it is a must to drinK!!

So i feel good that I am still sticking to things and starting to feel better. The soreness was a little bad today but I am trying to stretch often and massage my muscles.

My challenge will be this weekend when football starts. But I am determined to STICK with my program and not go off it so I will fight the power to eat the brats, chips, dip, etc LOL

Have a great evening all
