Time for change!

Yes, that's a good idea Andrea (fortyfour). What about with that ham sandwich a tomato (~20 calories depending on weight), some lettuce (10g is about 2 calories), and some cucumber (say 30g- I have no idea what's appropriate, I haven't had cucumber in forever- 3.6 cal without peel or 4.5 with), with a piece of fruit (100g apple is 50 calories) on the side? I'd even suggest shredding the ham and spreading it out a little bit further so you don't have to have so much- the NHS has recently come out and said that you should limit red and processed meats because of links to certain cancers- although that then leaves you with probably not enough calories.

Hi Guys, thanks for the tips again!

Right this is a short and sweet diary entry due to stress! I haven't left a diary entry for the past few days purely because i'm in panic mode, my time at university finishes on Thursday and I have 3 essays to be in by then, and me bored of university, has barely started. I'm finding it so hard to write essays on something i've lost interest in, but it's the final push and NEEDS to be done! So up until Thursday I might be very quiet! lol

On a positive note though, I've weighed myself this morning and am now... 201.5 pounds so I've lost 5.5 pounds this week, I'm so chuffed! I didn't expect it to be that much!

Thanks for all the tips guys, wish me luck!

I'm back!!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm finally back after a week of solid uni work, three hours sleep a day, an hourly black coffee and a social life that could be compared to a hermit's; but i'm relieved to say the degree is finally over!

Although I haven't stuck to a strict exercise plan, eating wise I haven't done that badly!

I've stuck to my weekly meal plan and ate sort of healthyish snacks, fruit, carrot sticks and houmous ...with the exception of the odd rich tea biscuit here and there ;-)

As for the weight i've gone down another 2 pounds, which I think considered I haven't done really any exercise isn't that bad!

So i'm now 199.5 :) finally under the 200 yay!

Today i've eaten:

Breakfast:

Bran flakes and milk = 170 calories

Lunch:

1 white pitta bread with 1 tablespoon of reduced fat, red pepper houmous = 277 calories

Dinner:

Roast chicken breast, 2 roast potatos (in frylite), carrots and runner beans = 284 calories

Snacks:

1 mixed fruit pot = 94 calories
1 banana = 95 calories
2 rich tea biscuits = 76 calories
2 cups of tea = 36 calories
Strawberries and low fat Greek yoghurt = 77 calories

Total = 1109 calories

The calories count were a little low today but I've been at work for the most part and never seem to want anything to eat when i'm there! I'm going to try and eat a little more tomorrow and read up a little more about weight loss!

How's everybody else doing?
