Tiger Woods' Speech

What did you guys think about it?

Personally I thought it was all BS. I mean if you really felt sorry about what you did, I think you'd probably say it from your heart, not stick your head in a paper and read it word for word. :nopity: I am sure the only thing he's sorry for, is that he got caught.

That may or may not be true. I agree in that I don't care to hear apologies read from a piece of paper but at least what was read was decent. Me personally though, I would have spoke from the heart with maybe a few notes written on a small piece of paper just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I heard that he was blaming the media for some of the problem? I HATE it when people dont' take personal responsibility!

here's the rub.. why does anyone care? I mean seriously. if this was Joe Schmuck from two towns over, how many people would give a damn? maybe two.. tops.

I mean for real, how arrogant do you have to be to think that you have to give the country an apology for our actions, and broadcast it, and that people are going to actually care or feel better about it? How overinflated does your ego have to be to think that this changes someone's day to day life in the slightest?

What I never understood is, what do people get for giving this person even a second glance? Where does this person's virtual presence, a person you've never met, or talked to or spent time with done for your life? Does anyone have an answer to this, because seriously, I want to know what I'm missing here.

Gotta agree with Big D here. Who cares? He fucked around, so do millions of others, but at least they don't bother the general public with it. :icon_bs:

You guys don't think Woods tried to keep it out of the news? The philandering is on him, but the public spectacle is on the news media who broke into their normally scheduled programming, and all the people who tuned in.

I agree Harold. Although for a long while it was hard to find a channel that didn't talk about Tiger. However, the news did put it all out there and then all the 'mistresses' came forward...it was just a big circus of a story. I hope it's over!!!

news wouldn't put it out there if people didn't watch it
same reason people slow down when they pass a car accident
curiosity laced with specks of stupidity
