So, yes, this is my second diary. I started out at 260 pounds and lost down to 197. That was followed by a long and seemingly endless plateau that got the better of me...so I slacked off and only tried sporadically. That has taken up almost an entire year of my time...of my life. Now I am weighing in at 209.

I didn't want to wait until the new year to re-start so I picked today...December 1st as my new start date. This is not a diet, of course, just the day that I start making healthy choices for me and for my family. Even my husband is on board, and I finally met a really good friend in my new town that is working out with me.

I will be running on M, W, F and weight training with 30 minutes cardio on T, Th, Sa. Sundays will be my day off. My calories starting out will be about 1800.

I am just so ready to be back into the habit of being healthy.

Day three: the headaches from the caffeeine are calming down. I have been doing well on my calorie consumption. I went running last night with my friend and we inproved our two-mile time by a minute and a half. That is pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Slowly, but surely....

My weigh-in was 206. That is three pounds down from Monday, but I know it is just a fluid adjustment period going on for me right now.
 
hey, i didn't know that you started a new diary! Like your siggy, 2009, my last year fat..I'm there w/ ya girl! we'll get this weight off, just keep at it :D
 
Well, it turns out that I DID wait until the new year to get started, but I am full throttle now. I have not had a drop of soda since the 31st and honestly...I don't want it. If you can not tell, Cola is my biggest weakness. I really do want to make this the last year that I am fat. I never want to have "lose weight" on my list of New Years resolutions again!

So far I am eating well and getting exercise everyday. I am down two pounds from my start weight of 209...so 207 today.

I am hoping to be down about 15 pounds by the end of March. Taht would put me comfortably into the 100's for the summer months.

I have to be honest though, I am terrified of hitting that plateau and being derailed again. It has been over a year since I lost any weight and it kills me to think of working my butt off to no avail again.

Here's hoping for good results!

Yeah, I figured it has been a year since I lost any weight...or even really tried to, so I might as well make a clean, fresh start.

How are things going for you? The last I read way back then was that you were really buckling down and getting a lot of good advice from Mal. Did any of it pan out. I guess I could just pop over and read your diary to find out, eh?

But first, I need to go workout!
 
eh, i deleted my last diary.....had to take a break for a while..I got a new one started but I dont' post much. Um, well, I just had nursing orientation...classes start this week! I'm so excited!

How'd the workout go??
 
Workout went well. It has been going much better lately.

Yay! for nursing school. I bet you are so excited!! Do you have a job all lined up??!?
 
Korrie, where is your diary now?? I want to pop in, but don't know where to look. Maybe I just looked right past it??
 
I worked out hard tonight. I am really feeling that old tug that means I am serious about this thing. It is about TIME...it HAS been a year afterall.

I worked the elliptical while watching The Biggest Loser. During the commercials I rotated between ab work and weights. I feel it was an effective workout.

Biggest victory of the day: I went to a chinese buffet and ate salad and soup with a few pieces or grilled meat and a SMALL serving of noodles. Yay for not gorging myself at the buffet like I usually would have!
 
Weigh-in this morning...205! Four pounds down from the 1st. Yay!

I won't change my ticker until my official weigh-in day, though.
 
202! That is seven pounds down since the 1st. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical tonight. Oh and get this: I ate fish...on purpose. Never in years past was I willing to do that. I have always hated fish and refused to even try it. However I am committed to healthier eating and so I am sampling fish dishes until i find some I love. So far, LOVE: salmon and tilapia... Hate: Flounder. But the real victory is that I am eating fish!

I am dying to be out of the 200's. Hopefully this will be the week!!

Official weigh-in for this week: 200 pounds! I am down 2 pounds for the week and am OH SO CLOSE to being OUT of the 200's!! I am hoping to drop two pounds this week. I never want to see the 200's again...ever!

I am off to have my oatmeal and fruit! I am so glad to be back on track. This ROCKS!
