Tiffany's journey to a healthier life...

I'm across the state at school and totally understand about being super busy. Course I'm not in grad school, but I am a senior and trying to make it to vet school so the work is never ending.
I went to leavenworth last year to see a version of the musical "The Last 5 Years". It was pretty good, but they toned it down for a wider audience which cut out some really great parts. I recommend buying the soundtrack if you're into that sort of thing.
My favorite part of the visit though was just spending time/getting drunk with my friends haha. The town is so adorable to with lots of neat shops and fun places to eat. My friends and I really want to go back but everyone seems too busy now.

Its been a few days...

I think I have totally lost track of days. I swear I was just posting from the library last night, but apparently it was a couple days ago. Where does the time go?? Ugh... it has been a LONG week at school. Hopefully the next couple days will be a little more low key with a couple exceptions.

Food has been pretty good this week. I haven't eaten that much (which could be good and bad). I ate a little too much pasta tonight, but not nearly as much as I would have before. So, any move in the right direction is a good one, right? This morning when I weighed myself I was down a little bit from last week, but not a lot. I didn't get to work out at all this week. I was hoping to be able to tonight, but I had to work (am there now). So, we will see how the weigh-in goes in the morning. I am hoping for 1lb, but I don't know if I will see that or not. We will see... *positive thoughts*.

On the up side, I am really happy that I have been able to maintain and loose through this journey so far. I haven't had a week that I have had a gain. This is good news! :)

Anyways, I think that is all for now. I will try to post something tomorrow on my weigh-in.

Crossing my fingers you get some good numbers. And your totally right every week that is down even a little bit is a good thing. I know with school and the stress it can bring it can be easy to lose sight of things but you seem to be able to keep it all in a positive balance. Keep trucking i know you'll do well this week!
 
Pleasantly surprised

Hey! Weigh-in day today!

The good news: I lost another lb! Only one, but one is better than none!

The bad news: I didn't make any of my goals that I set for myself last week. But, we all have to be flexible! I *should* be able to workout this week. Possibly tomorrow :O. We will see. I am pretty sure the rest of the semester is going to involve me running around with my head cut off. So fun?

Anyways, just thought I would update!

Next weeks goals:
1) Workout... at least a little! SOMETHING!
2) Loose 1.5lbs (under 175:cool:)
3) Continue eating healthy
 
Woohoo on one more pound! Definitely good news! Especially since you haven't been able to work out much lately. Hopefully you'll have more time for this next week. I'm sure school/husband/weightloss is hard on you too! It's so much. But we can do it! Keep up the good work!
 
Congrats!! Thats awesome :D You can make your goals next week fershur- work out jussssst a little lol, keep your food healthy, and you'll definately get under 175 :)
 
anything down is great and one pound isn't anything to be upset about its a very positive number specially considering all you have going on! Keep up the good work get a few workouts in if ya can and I am positive you'll break that 175 barrier! Well done Tiffany!
 
Once again it has been a couple of days. This weekend was a little crazy. I went out with some friends that I had not seen in years on Friday and had girls night at another friends house last night. I drank a little too much on Friday, but kept last night to two glasses of wine. The food situation was under control (for the most part) both nights. There wasn't any crazy drunken eating of whatever I could get... which is a move in the right direction :D.

As of this morning I am up a few oz from Thursday, but it is not a lot and I am happy with it. I was expecting more :s. Hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) I will get to run tonight. I have a meeting at school at 3:30, but I am hoping to go for a run when I get home from that. I got lots of sleep last night, so I am feeling very refreshed fro the first time in weeks. It would be nice to get out there and do a little (esp after the drinking this weekend).

Anyways, just thought I would check in. I am off to work on a couple papers and a presentation. FUN FUN. :confused:
 
Well I'm glad one of us didn't get a major hangover!! Good job on the maintain~ I'm fairly certain I screwed myself this weekend :rolleyes:

I got a walk in tonight... YAY! I only walked tonight since it has been a week and a half since I have been active I didn't want to over do it. I walked for 30 min, stretched and now I have returned to my computer to do more homework.

I am just happy I got something in. My hubby made pasta the last two nights ... :s. Hopefully that doesn't hurt me too much.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get a little exercise in. I am thinking I might be able to do one of my carmen electra DVD's between my morning observation and class. We will see.
 
Ooo Carmen Electra DVDs lol. I hear those really work. Hehe. Glad you got some exercise in this week! Yay meeting goals! Keep it up girlie. Don't worry too much about the pasta... (I had costco pizza this weekend...can you believe 1 slice of combo costco pizza is 775 calories!! :eek2: )... as long as you weren't eating humungo portions, pasta isn't always a bad thing. :)

looks like you lost another pound, congrats on that! youre really steadily losing weight, thats awesome! i need to get on task a little more im just maintaining... at least im not gaining i guess. anyways, i still wanna take those pole dancing classes. maybe ill go to school for my new degree out by you so i can have a buddy to do it with- haha!
 
good for you to get that walk in. I know with all the school work you got going it has to be tough, that coupled with our crappy weather of late. ARGH washington winters blow. Oh well glad to hear you got yours in! Keep up the good work!
 
Once again I haven't posted in a few days. I have spent a couple days in the wonderful library... fun fun. I have two papers due today... one is not done completely and the other needs a little editing. UGH! I have one hour to finish the one... shouldn't be a problem (hopefully). I have bee having writers block, but no more time for that now!

Anyways... food has been pretty good. Other than eating Wheat thins for dinner last night in the library. They were low fat wheat thins though. So I guess that makes it more ok. It wasn't a balanced meal by any means.

Today was weigh-in day! Apparently I have been doing good with food, even though I am not getting much exercise. I weighed-in today at 174.8! A few oz away from my goal, but under 175 non the less!!

Goals for next week:
1) Loose 2lbs (keep on track for b-day goal). I have Monday and Tuesday off of school, so I should be able to exercise and go grocery shopping (which I haven't done in two weeks).
2) Workout at least 3x.
3) Continue to eat healthy!

I wish I could write more! I have to go and finish these papers.

Awesome how getting super busy doesn't throw us off so much. :) Seems like it always turns out better than expected for you. Good luck for your next week!

Well... so far so good this week. I did nothing after class yesterday. I layed around and got caught up on all of my TV shows... and to my surprise I woke up today a lb lighter (I don't do official until Thurs... but I was a bit surprised). I guess there is something to say for less stress and a good nights sleep.

After a low stress yesterday I am on edge today. I have an interactive video that I have to do for a school assignment and OF COURSE the POS mac thats from the early 90's that I have to use will not turn on! Oh joy! I emailed my prof, but I don't know if he will get back to me this weekend or not. I really wanted to get it done. I need to stop focusing on that though and get something else done. But, what pisses me off is I pay over 30,000 a year to go to school here... you would think all of the equiptment wouldn't be CRAP! GRRR!

Other than that... food has been good. I have been eating a lot less that I did previously. I have been using Jess' idea of taking 1/2 the food off your plate when out to eat. That has worked well. Some times its just hard... especially if you come from a "clean your plate" family. I might get a walk in today. I was going to go to the gym, but I slept to much. I will head to the gym tomorrow.

Hopefully everyone is doing well. I will try to check in later this weekend.
 
Well, I have decided to chalk that 1lb up to being dehydrated. I don't think I drank enough water when I was relaxing on Friday.

Friday was fine food wise, but Saturday was a whole different story. I ate ok... until we went to watch the UFC fights... then for some reason I was glued to the chips and salsa. There was also sausage and cheese... it was yumm! I ate a lot of chips with salsa, but at least I wasn't eating the cheese dip... right? I was also having vodka redbull (sugar free) all night. I think I had 4.

In light of Saturday night... I made it to the gym on Sunday. It felt good to workout. I was going to go again today, but I spent too much time on campus. I did clean my house. That counts as exercise, right?

I am going to the gym in the morning. I have to go to a classmates house at 11, but that gives me plenty of time to go to the gym. If I go from 8:30-9:30 I will have enough time to get myself cleaned up and over to her house on time. -- that is the plan!

I went this weekend to get my costume for the Halloween party we are going to. I have never dressed up for Halloween before (my parents are super religious)... so it was an interesting trip. My hubby and I are going to be Fred and Wilma Flintstone. I am pretty sure that my costume shows every single fat roll I have so hopefully I can make the best of it. I am going to play around with it before Saturday's party. Maybe I will magically have abs and not a huge fat roll? Doubtful, I know.

Anyways, I am off to bed. Must go to bed early so I can make it to the gym in the morning :D.
