*Tiffany*'s Diary

Birthday cake adn an Elliptical - damn it has been a good week!!! LOL - I bought my Ellipticaled used for 40 bucks off of Craigs List I was pretty excited!!! It makes it much better and easier to work out if you own a machine or too at home...congrats on only 1 lb up rather as appossed to more - you will ahve it off in no time :D:D:D

Your right Tif, one pound after eating out and having that cake/icecream is not bad at all! And now that you have the ellipitical in your house to work out on, I'm sure you will be on that often. Good luck with your classes today, I hope you enjoy them!! :) And I hope they don't make you to tired to post often.

One pound is definitely not bad at all after eating out and having cake ;) I swear...I SMELL cake and I gain a pound ;) Glad you're staying positive, that's the best way to do it! And as said above, now you have an elliptical to help you out along the way!

:D

I am already loving my new machine. I rode for 7.13 miles(20minutes) this morning and burned 160cals. I really liked it and REALLY worked up a sweat! Gotta go start charting my cals.

Does cereal count as a processed food, I wonder.

Yes mam, on the cereal question. But, I love cereal and I would never give it up. I love shredded wheat and raisin bran. I only have about a cup at a time, but sometimes i might have 2 on the shredded wheat. mmmmm What kind do you eat?

Hi Tiffany!! Sorry to hear about the lb.. but I agree not that bad considering all that you ate! YAY for the elliptical machine! Sounds like it's really going to bust your butt! Have fun at school today! I hope you're having a great day! :)

Good job 20 minutes on the Elliptical

Healthy heart hint: "they" say that it's really really good for your heart to go more than 20 minutes...So if you can push yourself those five extra minutes that's awsome

However: I know it's hard sometimes to even get to the 20 minutes so good job!! It usually takes me awhile to even get to 20!

I'm jealous, I want an elliptical. lol

~Nicole~

I bet I could go for longer than 20minutes...I will give that a try next time. I have done about 36 minutes so far today...in two sessions. I am about to go lift weights and do my stairs(butt kickers, I tell ya) when I get back, I think I will do another half hour on the elliptical.

My cals so far are only 1445, but I am so stuffed! I am going to use a tip I got from Wishes and eat some peanuts when I get back. They are calorie dense, but won't fill me up too much. I HAVE to see a drop this week...I just HAVE to. Ok, Ok, I just really WANT to. lol
But what a girl wants is what she needs, right?

Sounds like you get a nice variety of exercise :) I'm trying to get into the walking habit right now that i have a roomie so when I go back home I will keep it up! Good for you though!

I hear ya on NEEDING to lose this week, I've been stable for AGEs...I NEED to drop...even one itty bitty pound. lol

Keep up the great work! Sounds like you have lots of energy!

~Nicole~

Nicole, I hope you are enjoying your walks with your roomie. have you checked out the 21 day club post on here. It deals with getting in the habit of doing things. I failed miserably and had to start over...lol...BUT-at least I started over:cool:

Cal for the day ended up being 1767

Exercise: Weight lifting- 20 minutes
Elliptical- 1 HOUR and 36 minutes (I did the hour part in ONE session...I was AMAZED and so proud of myself)
Calories burned according to FitDay- 667!!

I am so glad I have this elliptical in the house now!

Now I am falling asleep while typing so I better hit the hay.

Morning Tif!! Hey, don't over do it, you will burn yourself out and fast. I think it's good that you started out 20 minutes, as long as your chugging along you will be burning those calories, maybe do it 20 minutes this week, then increase it 5-10 minutes every week forward, that is a good pace to get you started and then after a month or two, you might even go a good 45 minutes. Your doing good, so stick with what feels right for you. I think your doing good on the food too, so don't get discouraged that your not working out hard enough, you are!! I know you will see a drop this week, I can feel it. Be happy even if it's just that 1 lb you put on last week, that's a positive so remember that. But, I have a feeling it might be a little more than you think. How was class by the way?? When did you say you were talking that time off?? I'll miss ya!! :(

The elliptical is great - ive been having probs with mine - I need to get some screws tightened on it that I cant tighten myself...anyway - all is looking good - UI need to start pushing myself big time ive been to leasurely for too long...good job!!!

Yeah, I figured if I did that everyday that I would quickly get tired of it. Last night, though, the kids were all asleep and my husband and I were watching TV while I was riding. I started out aiming for 30 minutes. When I got there, I felt good and did not want to stop, so I went for 45, when I got there, I felt good, so I went for the hour. I certainly WON"T do that everytime...it takes too long...lol. But I figured if I felt like doing it every now and then, I might as well try.

Class went well, except in one of them, the professor has still yet to show up. I am still getting the feel for things, but I bet it will be great.

Have some errands to run this morning. I'll be back later to check on other diaries.

Hi Tiffany! Great job on the elliptical! I can't believe how long you were able to do! You are going to melt! Sorry about your missing teacher, glad things are going well with school aside from that though. :)

Hope you have a great day!! :)

Hey Tiff, just read your last post. Thought I'd drop in and check up on you. Awesome work out. Yeah, I agree it won't happen everytime so embrace it when it does!! *high-five*

Thanks, Ashy:)

I rode for 25 minutes last night before bed and then got up this morning and did another 25 minutes. Today is weight training day and I think I will do another 30minute ride tonight. I should definately see the scale go down this week as I seem to be working even harder than usual.

Maybe that one pound gain got under my skin more than I thought it would.

Well, I have a bazillion things to do today so I better get going. Hope you all have beautiful days:)

Tif you are busting butt on your workouts, YOU GO GIRL!! I'm so proud of you, it seems your trying so hard and really determined to get to your goal. WAY TO GO!! Keep it up and I'll keep pushing. HAHAHAHA I know what you mean about living in the sticks, even though my gym is in town, I live about 20 miles out of town in the sticks also. I wouldn't move back into town if you paid me, I love the nature and I love the privacy. :)
Have a great day!
Kim

And we'll defintely keep watch on eachother with the 4pm food cravings/hunger ;)

~Nik~

I am SO frustrated! I have been working out so well and eaing the amount of cals I am supposed to and I have GAINED 4 lbs.!! WHAT???!!!??? It is not my official weigh in day, BUT WHO CARES...I should NOT have gained 4 lbs!!

Can someone pass me the tissues...I think I might cry.:(
Better yet, pass me a hammer so I can SMASH that STINKING scale. The aggression would be an extra workout. *sigh* What's a girl to do?
