Your early morning rides are so impressive. Don't worry about what's hanging out, you are so much better than before. Very competitive. Take care.

so the new trend is a bodychain , check out
Bet they look hot on a chick if you are slim already, but can you imagine that on a obese chick!

To me they just look darned expensive! $400 each?! wtf?! I could buy real gold necklaces and stick them together cheaper than that! Talk about a blatent rip!

nep i dont recall you,but thats probably because you only joined feb and have only done 3 posts!

Wrong Dog, it's Red dog! Lost my password and could not remember e-mail because long time ago. Re-register under Blue Dog. Now I found my old password. anyway Hi!:waving:

ohhh i was wondering about that,

HappyC, yes i hear that, but $400 is a blatent rip off.

Nice idea in theory - i liked those belts that did the same thing but gave you a brief electric shock if your tummy hit it lol , made you keep your tummy pulled in :D

Hmm a string would work - but make sure it doesnt stretch!

Oh i forgot to update.
Been cycling 40km every day taking about 1:40min on nasty hills. There is one hill thats called French pass. its about 5km of long steep hill. Ive nicknamed it Heart Attack Hill.
Thank god thats in the first part of the ride. Anyway today i knocked 5mins off last time at 1:42.
Weight is finally going down by the looks, the scale is moving!
Must find a flat serface to use the scales on, see if that makes a difference! We only have those large tiles which are all uneven.

I thought you were only riding the hills, not putting the scale on them...

BTW, impressive avg speeds for your rides. I can match the distance and time, but not with hills!!!! I'll lose a fair bit off my avg speed once I add them in. BTW, I have a hill like that one near me also. It's great to go down though...I've pushed 70Kph on the downhill, and felt like my lungs were going to blow up on the uphill.

Well i did heart attack hills sunday, monday, tuesday, then weds i went to hamilton which is the next town over .. i was meant to ride back but it got dark and i left too late so i ended up putting the bike in a friends boot and getting a ride back.
So 40km of heart attack kills every day this week and 39km of flats yesterday. My average speed on the flats yesterday was 31km/ph - and that was including the fact that i slowed down to talk to my co-worker i passed for a couple minutes and had to stop at lights a couple of times.

Today i wont be riding, im feeling tired, i dont want to overdo it. Ill do a session of weights at the gym and then i have 2 days off. Back into cycling on sunday. There is a race up in Auckland and my daughter and i were gonna do the 50km option on the tandem for shits n giggles :)
Be good to catch up with the guys i used to ride with at the same time :)

Pardon the language, but you are fucking amazing! I bow in your presence...

I can only wish to gain average speeds in the flats like that, and you have me flat out blown away on hills.

It may be that someday I'll approach it, but I've done so much damage over the years from smoking combined with asthma that I have COPD. May never have the capacity to overcome some hills... I'll try though.

I smoked, i been there done that and the asthma thing. Nowdays only the Asthma botheres me if its particularly cold dry morning really.
I know now why i didnt loose much weight and felt like crap yesterday. I have a cold - grrr
Took some cold pills so i could work - and i plan on sleeping away the day tomorrow or staying home. Still gonna ride on sunday - should be fine for that :D
I did some cake binge yesterday - was a work doo, probably not the best thing, and dispite the non exercise day thing i still managed to do 10km on the tandem with my daughter so we could assertain what our average speed would be for this race.
We have tricked out the tandem with as many bells and whistles as we could. Wearing matching team gear, ahve an orange flat, air horn, coffee holder etc.
My daughter is trying to convince me to wear a portable DVD player on my back so she can watch that whilst we go along lol.

Ill get photos anyway - it will be awesome fun if nothing else sunday. The weather is saying good things :)

yeah the cold doesnt feel like the flu ones, just running nose.

Possibly overworked myself, though it doesnt feel that way really, and there are some colds going around.

I just want to go home and sleep more lol.

righty - fluid retention be gone lol.
Got up about 3-4 times last night between midnight and 7am to pee, then constantly on the travel to a road race me and my daughter entered on a whim.
We decided to go with the 50km option rather than the 100km, more of a fun ride and catch up with cycling mates because it was near our old hometown.
So we tricked out the Tandem so it was a 'FUN' ride rather than serious and this is what we came up with.

I love the "Retro" flag nice. You two look like you had a lot of fun.

we did have fun, boy im tired and sore today though! And im used to doing 50km!
I did another 45-50 today. Was really hard going though, i ended up eating pizza and KFC purely circumstance rather than planning. I bought just the burger at KFC and they gave me free chips because it took to long, and boy they were yum. Then i went to a meeting and they had pizza there free, since i hadnt had dinner and i cycled 25km or so to get there i figured that was ok :)

Gonna go to bed now anyway.

Do your shirts say "Pickled Pedallers"? There has to be a story...

Looks like a good time, the DVD player would have been pricless, however.

The group started at Pickles Cafe - ergo Pickled Pedallers. Unfortunatly the cafe was taken under new ownership, and they produced inferior coffee so we moved down the road to a much better one called Triton Cafe (we have their logos on the shirt as well)
By then we already had the name and it was kinda funny so we kept it :)

Im so tired today, absolutly knackered
Some guy decided to bail hay on the empty lots of sections all night last night, right outside our window.
grrrr
Next too no sleep! Its evil!

oh oops, i had visitors and work and stuff

a week went buy without a post - eeek!
No exercise and bad food for the most part. but yesterday i put in 135kms of cycling, it was meant to be 170 but i was up against nasty headwinds and gave in 35km from the end.
Lost like 2kg just during the day lol - but most probably water weight. Boy am i sore today however.
