So have I read this right to think it's saying your body weight is considerably over normal, but your percentage body fat, is already borderline normal now ?
Oh yeah, I accepted that i was gonna be heavier than the average person anyway. the BMI tests says i should be 55kg (120lb) -65kg (143lb). But considering my lean body mass without fat is 53kg (116lb) i doubt i would look good on 3# body fat or something equally silly :)
Ill get to 70kg (155lb) and see how i look/feel from there.

HAHA! We're back at it again. You just posted in my diary just as I was writing my last post. Either we have some cosmic connection or else we are both on here WAY too much!!!

I haven't checked out your last body analysis. I hope its as amazing as I know you are!!! How's the Couch to 5K going with you and your daughter?
 
I just checked your body analysis. Looks pretty damn good. Its nice to know that the weight you've lost is fat and not muscle. That's a pretty hefty drop in body fat %. How are you feeling about all this? Were the results what you expected?
 
oh yeah i have been careful about eating for the most part the right foods so i didnt drop muscle, though i have stopped lifting weights this year so i expect some muscle loss at some point (possibly that 0.3kg?), i pretty much expected that result i just wanted to make sure i was on the right track. the body fat % they give on that report btw is much higher than normal because it counts the body fat around internal organs whereas most pinch tests only count the fat on the skin type thing (i was horrified the first time i had it done and they explained).

As for the C25k - we start that monday. that way i can run monday weds fri and cycle tues and thurs with my other daughter, and saturday with a group. sunday im sleeping in!

for anyone on WLF, heres some image before/after loving.
Bookmark it and no sharing beyond the WLF. It puts terrible strain on the server but it will merge your before/after photos together nicely.
 
That BI thing you got done looks pretty neat. Much more thorough than what I tried once or twice and got discouraged with. It's kind of hard not to be skeptical when I'm 210 lbs at 5'10" and able to grab handfuls of fat almost anywhere and... wait for it... 8% body fat. Yeah. Right.

That is fantastic progress you've made, there, too. Way to be. :D I would be so ridiculously happy to see numbers like that. Maybe over a shorter period of time, but I'm way further from goal than you are. :)

You know what, you've just inspired me to finally make a serious effort toward looking into getting my body fat assessed properly. I've been really wanting to be able to track this effectively for ages.
 
glad in inspire you, and no i said from the beginning once i got to 85kg i was taking it easy. My primary goal was to get below 85kg for an operation, the first BI was then. since then ive been eating what will be around about maintaince calories and anything ive lost is from exercise alone pretty much.
I went hell for leather loosing as much as i could as fast as i could before that though and did some serious weight loss, but now i need to learn to eat normally so i dont regain and end up like i was.
Its cool, im able to eat cakes and lollies again and other junk i cut right out, but now i know exactly how much, and if i have too much how to counteract it etc (more exercise, less calories the next day etc).
Im actually very happy with what im with now, if i never loose the last few lb i could easily live with it. But im 99% sure ill loose it, its more a matter of when. :)

BTW, where do you get your report? Do you go to a gym? A doctor?

You have done a great job with your weight loss. Look how far you have come. Probably muscle, which is ok.
 
thats the beauty of the bioimpedance thing test, it tells me exactly how much is muscle and how much is fat :)

Oh a place called VibraTrain that do vibration training. The report cost $15. Not to sure where you can get it done elsewhere, but the machine is called InBody.

Sup biatch!, yeah im all for muscle, cant stand skinny waif like females with no shape. My daughter is skinny and waif like and has no muscle at all, we are doing weight training together at home, just easy stuff to help with her cycling.

Quitting smoking is fine, First week was the worst, now im over it. Im fine :D
