Ive been settling and not working at it as much as i could, Yesterday i overate severly!
I was fine most of the day, and dinner was a little fatty but ok, then i went out to a focus group and they had more food there which definatly put me over maintaince calories. On the way home i went to the gas station and got 2 creme eggs! Yegads!

So i cycled to work again today to try and burn the extra off.
Speaking of which. I hate how jeans shrink in the wash, then you wear them back into normal shape within a halfday of wearing them or so.
Its not as bad normally. But when ive cycled to work, my legs are hot and sticky and it becomes almost impossible to get the darned freshly washed skinny jeans on!!!
And then if i get them on i cant sit down!

Today im kicking my own ass with a much healthier diet to make up for yesterdays eat-tons-of-shit-food
Tons of fresh veg for lunch, banana for snack, and muesli for breaky.

Dinner will be boritos! yum! and then i have cycling lessons for my girls.
 
That's funny what you said about jeans. What I hate is the ones I have fit GREAT when I first put them on, then after I'm out for a few hours they start getting bagging in the butt and upper thigh and looks like crap. Why can't I find a good pair that just stays the same all day. Maybe I'm buying the wrong brand of jean, what type do you wear??
 
MMMM burrito's are my boys FAVORITE meal, and if I stuff them with fat free beans and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and salsa and just a very small spoon of hamburger I'm set with a good meal, low calorie. How do you make yours?? what do you put in them?

I hadnt ridden my bike in 3 weeks due to injury. So though i was fit i didnt hold much hopes for getting placings but i wanted to do an avg speed of 30 kms/ph.

I was in the first bunch for the most part of the race, and even lead the race for about 10kms! I totally pwned it! Then on the last lap at about the halfway back i started cramping bad (because of the weeks off) im guessing. so i dropped back a few places.
When i came in i did an avg speed of 29km/ph or almost 30 which was my goal (in fact i did 31 most of the time), but i came 18th place overall! wooooot!! totally stoked that i actually was in the top 5-10%.

Also i met a girl who won a spot prize in a race she was in over in aussie, the spot prize was to get a free trip to NZ to particupate in the race and spend time with Sarah Ulmer. Anyway we got along like a house on fire, swapped email addresses, and i got to hang out with Sarah Ulmer again some (who by now recognizes me lol)

OHHH I hate that tooo!!!! My fav pair of jeans is like that!
I was even gonna say that earlier but i got sidetracked (im at work)

Same as you pretty much, but i leave out the beans (to many calories - even without fat!)
Just salad, mince (i think you guys call it hamburger), salsa, tomatos, sometimes a sprinkle of cheese etc.

Half my binge yesterday was triggered by something ive been doing but not said anything about.
Quitting the stupid smoking - i was social smoking, but over xmas it became a bad habit again. Ive put the foot down and not had one for a 4 days now. Patches ran out and i ran to the food, though to be honest i was in my right mind and could have not eaten, i chose to eat.

Anyhoo im good - today ive only eaten fruit and veg and muesli so far.
 
Funny thing i heard :)
By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have finally found inner peace.
The article read: "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish off all the things you have started".

So I looked round the house to see all the things I had started and hadn't finished... and before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of champagne, a bottle of white wine, the Baileys, three Bacardi Breezers, the left over Sambucca, the Prozac, some Valium, some cheesecake and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how bloody good I feel.

Hey Wishes!! I just had to comment in your diary - I can remember you from ages ago on the forum and I just simply CANNOT believe the amazing work you have done for yourself. I've been away for some time, and I didn't even realize who you were because I was looking at your profile picture, and then I remembered the name!! You are AMAZING. I'm so impressed at your hard work, determination, and transformation!!! *standing O* :hurray:

oh hey lemon, i just posted on your thread lol. jinx!

I ate well today, muesli for breaky with banana and mixed fruit. Couple cups of cooked veg for lunch, and 2 small burritos for dinner (about 200 cal each).
went to 2 friends place today, resisted smokes from both of them ok, got stuck eating 3 lollies at one place until i left.

I no longer seem to get along with some of my friends, everything we had in common we dont. Ive quit smoking, quit making stupid excuses, lost weight. Everytime i see them they say shit like 'Ive been doing real well, ive lost weight, i can see it in my face .... no i havnt weighed myself .... but im sure ive lost weight!'
i just want to scream "NO YOU F(&%*N HAVNT!"
Then they proceed to tell me how healthy they have been (i presume to impress me because ive lost weight) and tell me about how they have been eating tons and tons of coleslaw (with tons and tons of MAYO), or similarly disturbing things.
Anyway, needles to say i cant stand being with them too long, the most i can handle is about 30 mins or so. A cup of coffee :)
 
Prolly not the best friends to have coffee with, at day 4-5 eh? :D

Did you need band-aids for your tongue after? :D

hah! funnily enough my lip, i bit my lip! :O
Least i can avoid them now for another few months. The deed is done!

Its funny, i always get my best weight loss period right after my period when ive lost all water weight and the rest, my lowest weight is always bang, right there.
Then i go through the 'put the water weight back on' phase and then the bouncing up and down phase, then the gain weight right before the period, and then the actual weight again right afterwards.

Its kinda frustrating and kinda funny. EIther way, im kicking myself into gear about loosing the last little bit. Eating a few more fruit and veg, less breads and fats. The main reason im concentrating on the diet is not just for weight loss, but primarily because of quitting smoking again. I get all cravy and i know if i dont be careful ill end up overeating or munching. the first week is always hell. Least id only been smoking 4 a day or so. Though its bloody stupid to smoke at all.
 
Hey Wishes! Yeah I wish I had stuck with it so I could be in the winner's circle with you and the rest of the 'old crew'. Too many reasons, all of which amount to excuses. And I'm done with excuses. :p

I feel you on the quitting smoking!! I have that on my list of goals. I did it before. . . .I can do it again!! And so can you!
 
a new guy started work the other week, about 3rd day he asked fo a smoke so i gave him one, after a few more smokes and days he admits he had been quit until i gave him one.
so i told him i was quitting and so was he! i felt bad about helping him take it up again.
so at least i have company hanging out at work :)

It funny how people have to justify themselves when they see someone who has made REAL change in their lives. Is it so hard to say "Man, you look amazing. I just can't seem to get my ass in gear"? It is a lot more honest. There are only a few people I know that have had the guts to own up to it... and I love them all the more for it.

With major changes you've made...I know that you'll lick this smoking thing!
 
Just stopped by to say Hi, and congrats on all of your progress. It is motivating to see those of you getting close to your goals. I am on the beginning of this journey and love the support and advice of those who have done so well!

..Also a fellow computer geek :conehead: It seems so easy to slip into bad eating habits sitting in front of a computer all day.

Absolutly! though i feel uncomfortable when people compliment me about it. I mean i feel like im a fraud or i didnt really do it or deserve it. Im all about telling people that ive done it, but not for the praise, but to inspire them, show them that it CAN be done and its not impossible.

Hah, indeed, i have a stack of fruit at work on my desk nowdays, coke zero, a time schedule of what time im allowed to eat something new. Its hard still even now but it works.
Love the conehead icon haha :D
 
Hey there Wishes. I know you are a cyclist, so I was wondering if you could tell me (a beginner) what type of cycle (and/or gear) you would recommend. I have a crappy bike that my mom gave me. I have to literally hold it in gear or the chain slips. What do you think?

Not to seem like I am inserting an insincere sounding compliment, but I really do like your hair in your avatar...
