Hey Wishes, I meant to tell you earlier that I watched your video, TOTALLY AWESOME!! I just love your voice! I like the way you said your not an expert, but know what worked for you, and then to go all out and describe it to us was fantastic. GREAT JOB!!!!

This is the kind of stuff we by magazines for, to find out what works for REAL people, and how they did it.

Hey, did you ever find that measuring tape?

well looking at the local supermarket i noticed a popular internet related magazine had an article on weight loss

So i opened it up knowing that they had an article comming out on me and here it is,

Hey your only 10 pounds away from your goal weight!!!!
I hope you plan on sticking around to motivate us all after you reach it:angelsad2:

Yep probably will, if nothing else for the company and maintaining, and of course the lure of power of being a mod :p

really? I love that waynes world quote though - that movie was classic :D

I noticed that Oprah is doing a year on weight loss, and at the suggestion of another friend i clicked on the link asking for sucess stories and emailed her in a breif overview. Dunno if ill ever hear back from her or not, but i may do :)

Oh wow Liz!! How cool is the article! Just like you!

And I love that after shot!! You look truly skinny. Readers would be wondering where you would find another 10 lb to lose for sure. :)

*Fingers crossed for Oprah* You definitely have a lot to offer there. I bet you get in their short list at least.

lol in my tummy and ass! thats where the other lb is!

Right now im trying to find that brag on thread so i can post the article .. but i cant :(

Good morning insiring one!!!!

What do you plan on doing during the 6-8 weeks post operation when you aren't supposed to work or do any strenuous activities? I'm a little concerned that my extra weight will come back on after my operation.

Well ill be doing sfa for a couple weeks, then ill ease back into what i was doing. Should be able to at least do some good walking after a couple weeks or light riding. Diet is what makes you loose and gain weight not the exercise - thats just the cream on the cake .... mmm cream ... but yeah if i end up gaining a couple kg over it its no big deal, ill loose it soon enough with cycling. Thats the whole idea of the hobby.
To be honest ive been concentrating on maintaining more than loosing for a while now. The last 10lb can go at their own pace.

That's awesome Liz. Did your site get a bump in traffic from the article?
Nah, not yet. Its a monthly magazine and its febuary issue so probably wont get too much in a hurry.

on another note, grrr frustration that i cycled all that way last week and this week and i gained weight :)

Must be nearing that time of month i think.... but even still thats not cooL!

Commiserations on the scales. Your weight does tend to be strongly pulled like that doesn't it? Sometimes shifting in its own time instead of in a nice reliable link to your effort? I guess that may be even more noticeable now that your weight is so much lower.

It must be very frustrating!! More power to you - you're at this point despite this sort of thing happening previously!! I'm sure you're right in thinking that the results will come.

well after today eating i doubt ill loose any lol. work lunch involved chocolate cake and cheesecake! then there was the steak chips and eggs followed by chippies and dried fruit :O
Ahh well, extra couple kms to ride tomorrow eh :O

Ha, I love the article. :) It must feel so great to see yourself in an article as an example to however-many-people reading the magazine...! It must really drive you to carry on as well as others who see it and want to follow your example. :hurray:

Y'know, I actually find that so encouraging to read. You have lost 165lbs and can still have a day of chocolate cake and chips, yet just get over it and move on. I think that's great!

oh yeah, just because i lost so much doesnt mean i dont struggle. Some days i screw up still. The difference i guess is that i know the exact cost of the screw up and how to fix it. Its only a blip on the radar vs eating that way all the time :)

oh cool. just found out my VO2MAX is 45 - anything above 40 is considered 'Superior' apparently.
No idea what that means. If you want to do a simple test to find out yours i found this was the quickest and easiest (and probably least accurate) test here .
From this i can go to a page i made myself here which works out how many calories you are burning per minute or hour depending on your age/height/weight/etc and optionally VO2MAX (you dont need the VO2MAX thing for it to work, it just makes it more accurate)

in other news, apparently 38 is average for most females, and 45 though fair, is pretty crap for a cyclist :/

Hey Wishes! Congratulations on your new celebrity status! And thanks for posting your pics and methods to inspire and help me with my own journey!

All the best as you :smash: those last 10 pounds!
ABBA
