Awesome job, Wishes. I'm constantly floored by the absolute sheer AMOUNT of weight you lost. I mean, creepin' Jeebus, girl, you lost a full-grown man! That's ridiculousness!! (In a great way, of course.)

As usual, a total inspiration! Fantastic job! I want to get fit enough to eventually be able to bike to the gym, still have the energy to work out, and come back (about 2.5 miles, I think...)

Hey there,WOW well said and done.I also love the eat the "veggies"and 1/2 the cheesecake"that is 1 of my biggest mistakes when I do finally give in and go to a resteraunt,I go hungry and usually do not leave 1/2 of anything I just try to to avoid places like that all together.

Yeah its kinda surreal like its not me. If i heard somebody else lost 75kg/165lb or so i would be stunned i guess.
I ride 9km to work and back every day (thats a total of 18km which i think is about 11 miles). Though thats dependant on the weather and what im doing that day also. I do the gym as well when i have time/money but i prefer to just find activities that are active and fun than the gym.

Ah yes, I love that Kiwi accent too! Well done on the video - you are very inspiring. I also like the way that you get active doing all sorts of stuff, not just the gym. I also find it very hard to squeeze that in, with kids, so need to be reminded that it's possible to exercise in all sorts of ways.

So i discovered the coolest website in the world the other day. Yep, im gonna spam it!


Ive wasted so much time looking at it and messing about with it that ive got a lot less normal work done. On the other hand ive found a really cool way to make a laser pointer that sets fire to things, several 2minute canon/projectile things for the kids, tons of other really cool ideas and games from really easy to really gadgetty and hard.
My fav, which im gonna do next, is replacing a dead hard drive in an ipod with a flash drive, and inserting a bluetooth device into it so i can have bluetooth headset on it. Kickass!

Ive cycled to work every day this week - its weds and its raining and yes im getting wet :)

If I biked to work, I would have to leave by 4am to get here, and to be honest with you, I'm not a morning person, so that would NEVER work for this girl. I'm perked up around 9:30-10:00 HAHAHAHA

Keep up the great work, Oh and good luck on the IPOD and bluetooth, great idea!

Funny you should say that - its 9km each way, more downhills on the way to work, more uphill on the way back (darn it!).
One of my co-workers asked this morning, she said 'oh so you start work at 7am?' and i said 'newp 6.30' and she goes 'oh so you must get up early then!' to which i replied 'my alarm goes off at 6am, i arrive at work at 6.30am'.
Her mouth dropping was funny, she then asked 'how long does it take you to bike to work?' i said 'oh about 18-20 mins depending on the lights', again her mouth dropped.
She just couldnt compute being able to get up dressed and leave the house within 5-10 mins.
Heck i even have time to pack my cycling bag, eat a banana, go toilet in that 10 mins!

I guess maybe im just a morning person.
 
Oh I could only dream of being ready to go in 15 minutes, as it is I don't wake up to see myself in the mirror until after my first couple sips of coffee, which is usually 15 minutes after I rolled out of bed. LOL LOL Lucky, lucky you!!! So you shower at night I take it??? I have a LOT OF HAIR it takes me 20 minutes just to blow dry the mop, then another 2 minutes putting in the contacts, another 10 minutes putting on my clothes and another 10 minutes eating my cereal. I have to have my vittles in the morning or I'm starving by 10am. Now biking home might work for me, but I just can't see toting my gym bag, brief case and purse behind me, just wouldn't look pretty that's for sure! Do they have a bike big enough. LOL LOL
 
lol, yeah i shower at night and blow dry my hair. If i shower in the morning it puts me to sleep again and nothing gets done.
SO i get up, jump into cycling gear next to bed. Grab clothes and shoes and shove them into my cycling pack. find keys purse etc and put them into the bag also. Grab a glass of water and banana or something minor to eat, get bike outside and go.
I get dressed at work, then eat breaky. No point doing my hair if its gonna have a helmet on it so i do that at work (though its short enough that running the hands through it works.

They do have trailers for bikes :)
 
That ipod bluetooth thing sounds GREAT!!

I loved watching your video too!! Your eyes are so beautiful and they show up much better in video. It's nice to hear your physical voice and I really like your delivery style. Kudos to you for all the efforts you're making to help as broadly as you can.
 
Your routine sounds like it works great...probably why you are only 10 lbs from your goal you little superstar! I like to shower at night too, it's like why go to bed dirty? My husband showers in the morning and says it wakes him up...but I like hot showers and that puts me to sleep too!

Keep up all your hard work!
 
hehe, going swimming puts me to sleep - any water submersion does it. No idea why but it always has done *shrug*

Anyway, ive changed things up a bit. Ive always been a night time eater but lately im more and more hungry in the morning. I figure my body is telling me something.

So today i went with it for the first time. I ate breakfast twice, then snacked on fruit. I finally felt full. Lunch came and i ate my single sammie and felt fine. Dinner came nd i halfed what i usually eat (i usually eat most of my calories at dinner) and i was totally satisfied all day. What a bonus eh.

Anyway ill see how i go with this over the next few days - its kinda scarey changing how i eat.
Cycled to work today also, it was wet and i had to dry my gear under the hand dryer in the bathroom. Got home and washed/dried it and ill bike tomorrow and the next also.

One of the girls at work is trying to loose weight as well and now cycles to work, we call each other cycling buddies even though we dont cycle together and i do 3 times the distance and speed lol. Its great to have somebody with something in common :D

I was glad that she rode today even though it was wet, i was glad i rode today even though it was wet!
The good news is that the weather looks good for the rest of the week anyway. My son got his restricted drivers license, AND one of my best friends managed to finally get pregnant naturally 2 weeks before artificial insemination started (shes been trying for years, apparently its a medical impossability!).
So all round its been a pretty good week :)
 
I understand what you mean about it being scary to make food changes, but if you monitor yourself I'm sure you'll be fine - you can always change back if you see it isn't working out.

It's nice to hear that you're getting to cycle just now - with a bit of added determination anyway - a real bonus that your friend arrived wet too!! :D Normalizing. :D

How amazing that you have a son old enough to drive. I bet that's a bit scary!!

Actually it feels more like hes my younger brother than my son to be honest. I guess because i had him so young.
I cycled to work again today - thats 4 days this week so far! horay!
usually i do 2-3 and let myself off.
Im debating taking tomorrow off as i have the kids at work (husband works next door though and could bring them in but to get them home. Also im riding saturday and sunday with groups so if i dont take friday off ill be riding every single day this week. and if i ride next week then ill end up riding non-stop with no break days :O

On the other hand its THURSDAY NIGHT CURRY!!! horaaayy!

This is the group that i go with every other thursday for curry, ive been skipping a lot lately. In fact i havnt been for months but my sister wanted to go this week so ill go. And they are going to my favourite curry house :O

Yeah, i can see this being a problem calorie wise lol :D
