I liked your advice about the cake. Paying attention to it. Also thinking of signing up for a 5k walk/race on March 9 which gives me two months. Bike ride yesterday was tough but I did it. Going for a power walk today.

My gut hurts, that pressure under the shelf and over the pants.

Whoa, feeling much better just did a 50 minute walk jog. What a woddle but I did it. Going to register for a 5k walk/race in two months. Yippee. Kelly
 
well xmas calorie intake has taken hold lol. up 1kg/2lb or so. Could just be natural fluctuations from eating a lot of meat lately. Either or im not overly worried. Ive been extremly inactive for the past month and eating more etc.

Gonna get back into cycling this weekend with a long slow one :)
 
Oh ive been tired and run down feeling and occasionally dizzy. I put it down to the flu i had for a couple of weeks, then when i asked husband out loud 'im getting peeved off that im tired all the time and a little dizzy and very cravy and eating too much ... DOH!' then i clicked i hadnt had a multi vit in a month and was probably low in iron!
Bought more multis today and hopefully in a day or two ill be fine.

People keep asking, and i ask myself, what was the trigger that made you loose the weight. What makes a person stick with it eventually and follow through and actually loose the weight compared to other times.

Ive thought about it long and hard on many occasions. Now i finally think ive come up with a theory.

I decided to loose weight..... thats it ... to become fat one must decide to become fat, the same for being slim. I dont mean a concious choice either nessarily, but something else.
By putting the cream buns and fast foods and chippies in your mouth you are choosing to be fat. You know deep down this is what you are choosing. Its not a deliberate choice 'hey i want to be fat, lets eat!'
Its more of a 'oh yum my favourite foods, im gonna eat them .... i guess ill get fat if i eat them ... what the hell as if i care, im fat anyway' type attitude more.

I guess the choice is much like a career choice or any other. By not choosing to remain slim you are making the choice to be fat or overweight.
By not careing, or by eating those fattening foods, you are choosing to be fat and overweight. Am i making sense here?
This is the reason i wont fail. This is the reason i dont quit. When i eat bd foods i know im doing so, im more concious now that im doing it and realize it for what it is. I have then the choice of stopping my behavior or not giving a damn and continueing. nowdays i tend to stop it and make a choice to be slimmer.

Anyway, its the nasty heat of summer is here, ive been sunburnt already and the heat is wicked. Im so glad that this year im able to wear short skirts and shorts and even a string bikini top and boardies around. I look good for once wearing them .. and im not entirely sure im kidding myself this time (hey i thought i looked hot about 100lb ago! boy was i kidding myself then!).
Its so much cooler not having to wear black all the time and wear long pants because it offended myself too much to wear otherwise. I used to wear cycling shorts and t-shirt to the pools back in the old days.
I havnt been on my bike in a month because of the flu and holidays, and ive had a great break. But this weekend i aim to get out again.

If you haven't been in a month, maybe it's good to have slow pokes along with you to keep you safe. :D (not that I'm much good at keeping myself safe!! :D)

I totally get it about being glad you can wear smaller clothes in the heat! Last summer I was losing weight, but I was still wearing giant clothes. I'm loving the difference!

Yeah. I would have that too. Also, I'd think - what difference is one more cream bun, one more day, one more week 10 more days etc etc .... going to make! Repeat ad infiitum and choose getting fatter. :)

Sunburnt lol. I love how international this forum is. We were just dealing with themperatures 30 degrees below freezing and frozen water pipes.
 
well, no riding, stayed up late last night and today was the last sleep in before work starts back. Noticed some significant weight gain over the last week. 2kg/4lb. Though i suspect constipation plays a part in that (thanks iron pills!). Im not too worried about it yet though im taking note of it.

Very tired from a late night and late morning. Hope i can get my hours sorted to get up at 6am tomorrow after all the 10am sleep ins :O
 
Ah, you'll loose those 4 pds in no time!! Iron pills do tend to have that effect. Good luck getting back to your normal sleeping schedule!
 
rest? no rest for the wicked! i biked to work and home burning 800 calories then went to the gym for another 30-40 mins running and cycling.
Ive recorded the first of several weight loss video things and im uploading it as i type. Everyone keeps asking me how i did it so im video blogging (since i have my nice new macbook etc) what i did and how i did it. Pretty much same stuff as on my website.

Had to edit the heck out of it because it was longer than 10 mins and youtube didnt like it being so :O
Still, i never realized how often i said 'uummm' until i edited about 30 of them out which saved me a good portion of the 1.30seconds i had to cut :D
