Nice going as always Wishes - heck, even if the scales hadn't have been changed, the odd gain would have been nothing to worry about! As you said - you lift bigger weights than me, you must have a good muscle mass! You're a winner.

By the way - next time that I install Debian (I have this pipe dream of owning a nice bssic but working debian box - I have played with Debian and Mandrake before, but always end up returning to MS because of 'problems'. I love the ethos of Debian, so hopefully I can build a Debian box this winter) - I'll give you a call when I have to compile the kernel! ;)

Well today was TIRING to say the least - but in a pleasent way.

4 hours of walking and some fantastic scenery.

Got a pic of myself and hubby together and then compared it to a similar picture a year ago. Being a geek i wanted to make sure the size of the pictures was the same and distance from camera so i measured the head size on my husband so that i knew they were the same size. The one on the right (the "after") looks HEAPS different!
So anyway i burnt like 1500 calories just with walking today lol. Good shit! :)

Good luck with the debian TF, if you're new or having issues i would advise going with ubuntu (or kubuntu i you are a kde fan) ... its just debian but with a heck of a nice installer and nice defaults. Nice system updater and autodetecting everything :)

Ed: oops forgot to attach the pic :)

Thanks for the ot advice Wishes. Yes I have tried Kubuntu before - I still have the Hoary Hedgehog iso. I tried it on an old Thinkpad, that other distros had failed in one way or another. Kubuntu nearly did it - but stumbled on the sound. I have collected all of my old PC bits together, and i have decided to give it another go as soon as I have the time to put something together. I still have all of the Debian sarge isos ready :)

Hello wishes,
Just dropped by to see how ya been doing?

Geez! If I didn't know better I'd think those were two differnt people with your hubby. Great job Wishes!! You are awesome and inspiring.

Hi, I'm new here, but I just saw your pictures, and WOW, there is quite a difference! Congratulations! (LOVE the hair colors by the way, I'm always a fan of fun hair).

Husband is not as happy with the pics, apparently my loss has made him look bigger in the gut - hehehe

Well i lost 5lb this week. (2.3kg or thereabouts). Which is a fantastic amount to loose. I put it down to exercising in the gym again hehe. Oh yeah and the hike yesterday :)
The kids slept well, they slept 15 hours straight until 10am this morning. I think we should take up hiking as a family lol.

I love wearing my kid out like that. They are so quiet when they sleep...almost makes you love them more. Unfortunatly my son has a problem with his hips so when we hike I end up carrying him most of the way, which is good for me, carrying around an extra 40lbs probably burns hella lotta calories, but so excruciatingly tiring.

ouch carrying kids can be nasty for long periods.
My youngest has bad knees so when he gets tired he falls over. I carry as many packs as possible atm to up the calorie useage :)

Well the alarm went off at 5.20am and i was just to tired i couldnt get outta bed :(
Im sucking at getting back into the exercise thing.
On the other hand i volenteered to help work move office on friday night saturday morning, and im gonna sit on the exercycle tonight watching biggest loser on tv for an hour to make up for it.
Its not quiet the same but its the best i have atm :)

My new jeans that i bought only a couple weeks back are baggy as anything and dragging on the ground already, which is cool but annoying because they cost me $50 :/
I think i might take them in on the sewing machine tonight.

Last night i went to the gym and saw the trainer - havnt seen one in about 9 weeks now. Got a whole new workout and re-explained that i need to get to 90kg for now to donate my kidney to my brother, to which she replied (and this ones a doozy) "oh 90kg? you cant be far off that now, and im a pretty good judge of weight" and im like "uhhh no im 110kg still" and shes like "No way! Im always dead on when guessing peoples weight! ive never been wrong! i swear you are 90kg or not far off it!"
Anyway it was flattering but i weighed in to proove my point. She reckons a lot of it is muscle mass rather than fat now, and if i were to loose the muscle i would be 90kg lol.
I figure by the time im 90kg ill be looking like most people at 70kg though which is great. On the other hand ive been lookin into surgery for my stomach to get rid of the 'flap' or 'apron' as its sometimes called. Its horrble and i swear it makes up about 5-10kg at least. Its horrble and ugly and i can fit clothes heaps smaller except for that. Im wondering if they can do that when they do the kidney donation at all to save on costs and sugery.

Food has been good and in fact im only on 1000 cal for the day and pretty full.
Work has been mega stressful lately though i havnt been eating to deal with it - though i eat when im tired and ive been tired lately.

2 surgeries for the price of one????:p

sorry to hear abt yr bro. he's really fortunate to have a great sis like u.

hahah.... i think i agree with yr trainer on the muscles.... u r really passionate abt lifting?

i bought an L size 3/4 pants last week. Only wore for first time today and it's dropping off. I understand how u feel abt the $50. :p

wow an L - nice!
Im still hopeing to fit my XL pants i bought earlier, they are my 'Goal' pants for when im slimmer.
In fact I should try them on tonight .. :)

Woooo wishes, your foolin' even the trainers! That's gotta feel good! I'm sure with the new routine you'll get to your goal in no time, and of course become your brother's hero. Which by the way I think is probably the greatest thing a sibling could do for another, very admirable!

Yeah, i always make mention when talking to people within earshot that i had a horrble big brother who used to beat me up all the time :D
Moral is, dont pick on your siblings! you never know when you might need internal organs! (or money)
