I've been trying to get my daughter to focus more on how she's feeling when she's eating. Not like emotionally, but whether she's full or not and I just encourage her to eat slower, as it's not a race. I've noticed that the slower she eats, the less she eats at a time. And her school's pretty cool as they get a snack break before lunch and I give her a snack right after school, so she's been getting six mini meals during the day. Which I think is a good habit to get her on while she's young. That way she doesn't think she has to eat until she's stuffed 3 meals a day like I did as a child.
 
I just realized you are almost to your halfway mark!!!! YAY for you!!!! You are doing great honey!!!! And although I'm not a mom, seeing you mothers out there getting educated about food and then passing that on to your children....well I think it's wonderful. Think how much better it would be if the generations to come are more aware about food and don't have to experience the struggles that we have. You moms are AWESOME!!!!

I so agree! I have also struggled with this with my 5 year old daughter. She once came home from a friends house asking me if she was "fat". I was bowled over. I mean I know she has heard me say how fat I think I am...and I now that I should not say things in front of her...but frustration has gotten the best of me more than once. She actually is a skinny little thing. I try to help her make good choices and explain why to eat healthy food and exercise to take care of our bodies, unfortunately kids are smart (lol) and my daughter can always seem to connect it back to my weight! I just don't want her to have a complex at ANY age and worry about her size at age 5!

So ive been battling with protien shakes - i do my workout and i need the protien within an hour of it. I cant stand any of the protien shakes ive had so far. they are disgusting,
Anyway yesterday i noticed they have the protein bars, so i hunted through the shop to find the one with the lowest calories and highest protein. I found one that was the same calorie as the shake and only marginally less protein.
Man they taste so much better! and they are filling! unlike the shake that added 180 calories and didnt do anything for filling me up! So it might cost a bit more but i can just get the 7 i need for the week rather than the 3 weeks worth of the other stuff. And no need to try and quell that gag reflex or use special mixing cups to get it to blend yada yada. Just chuck it in the pocket and away we go!

So im supposed to bike to work today. Im thinking i may not. The bike that was supposed to be fixed on the weekend never got done (just ran outta time) and only my crap bike is left. I guess these are just excuses and a copout.

Feeling a little unmotivated today lol. Ill let yall know how it went :)
 
You can do it!!! I don't know about New Zealand but it's a great day for a bike ride here in New Jersey!!
 
wishes sometimes things dont go our way. The bike tell them to hurry and fix it. the crap bike ride it unless you think the tire will take off without you and leave you on a hill. IF its not safe enough to ride, yup you better wait. It will all work out in the end and if it dosent take a happer and saw to the crap bike that will burn off a few hundred calories.............:D
 
Okay so i didnt bike in the end. Was feeling lazy and didnt wanna ride the crap bike, also trying NOT to overdo it whilst i have this niggle in my throat and everyone has nasty rip roaring colds.
So instead i did some SKIPPING! about 2 skips per second (none of that jumping without a rope in between stuff!) I did 500 (probably more since the thing doesnt appear to count every single jump) jumps and a total of about 5 minutes. I could only do 30 seconds at a time, so did it in 30 second bursts. Ill work my way up i think. Either way its 30 calories for 2 mins burnt which is great! and it really gets the heart working!
 
That sounds like a great way to work out wishes! I know my daughter would LOVE it!

You're doing great hun, and look at that, you passed the big 50 mark!!

wishes that sounds great. Almost compared to my tv remote relays lol. My five year old grabs it and takes off and dosent stop till i corner him. wow hes fast, well errrrr im probably just slow lol........

That wouldnt work in our house - we have like 9 remotes on the coffee table and because they are all sony they all do the tv as well as whatever their function us.. and then there is the universal touch screen one .. :O

The skipping is good because you can do it anywhere (so long as nobody is watching me jiggle it lol) and 5 minutes 10 times a day is 50 minutes over all and a fantastic workout!

Yes i will do the biking again also!
 
HAHAHAHA! that reminds of a chick i saw jogging once years and years ago without a bra and she must have had at least DD's.
Im small chested - even when fat im only a largish C cup. its one of the few downsides of weight loss for me :/
 
I know just how you feel wishes! I too am small chested and weight loss just brings me back down to my natural small size... :(
 
oh well im not the only one then hehee.

So ive lost 5lb this week. I like lb - it sounds so much more than when i say 'i lost 2kg' hehe
 
it's nice to say lbs when you're talking about your losses but it's nice to see your weight in kg!

Great job on your loss though! Lbs or Kg it's still GREAT!!
 
Wow you really are doing AWESOME! What a great way to get your exercise in too! The only time I have ever been chesty was when I was nursing my gals for their 1st year....they always seemed to get in the way though(my chest not the gals, lol). I like being smaller...though I think my hubbie would disagree :p *blushing*!
 
I would never have thought of skipping! It sounds like fun. But like you, I'd have be sure no one was watching the jiggle.:p

Your weight loss is spectacular!! Congrats on the half-way point.
 
Hmmm, maybe I'll incorporate some skipping into my back yard dancing. Sounds like a blast! You are doing so good. Are your clothes falling off of you?
