35km is a great acomplishment, but I get why you are bumbed. Nothing to do about that, just wanted to say I think the 35km is just a good victory:)
So glad you got to meet someone who's a huge inspiration to you, that always helps on the determination! Anyway, hope you have a great day:)

Just the courage of entering and then cycling 35k... how much is that in miles?... Anyway, it sounded like you had a blast!!! Definately extra biking shorts next time. It is great that you were in the first group!

You should be proud of yourself for giving it such a good go... and getting so far. Keep on with all your hard work and maybe try it again in the future... you may do it all next time. :)

After all the hot weather we been having it had to rain over the last 2 days.....bummer. You did complete the 35k Congrats!!! you did more than most. You entered!! And that is a great achivement. At the next race you'll kick ass...

Yes! im not crazy! other people know how silly and yet cool that movie is! :D


Oh well, i got a bit burnt yesterday - i most definatly have a cyclers tan now. Oh and i cant wear jeans at all - everytime i bend over it hurts - ouch!

I had a fiddle with the bike and angled the seat downwards as well some more, as it was probably partly the seats fault as well as the wet shorts. Next weekend at the wedding we're going to Rotorua again so ill take the bike and cycle round the lake - see if i bet my last years time of 1h 45m.

Oh according to the scales i seem to have lost another kg in the last couple days (yet again). Thats like 4.4lb lost since thursday. Lifting weights rocks :)

Anyway now im off to work - see yall later.

Ya know what...........I belive you have some kinda determination that never ceases to amaze me................I hope i am like you when i grow up!!!!! so now if you lost 4 more pounds..... that has got to have you teetering on the cliff of onederland eh???? Right???? Damn girl............just Damn!!!!

Wow Wishes I was just reading back. Congrats on the bike race and all the weight you have lost. You are doing amazing. Keep it up :)

On a good note, you are almost at the stage where a couple lb weight loss is really noticeable - and people come out of nowhere and go 'my god! have you lost weight?!' every other second. Its a novelty that wears thin after the 5th person that day says it, but still an ego boost :D

Im crosing my toes and everything! hehe

So i have started doing walking on the treadmill at the gym. I though i was doing great! i had my speed up to 6.9km per hour!
I just converted that to miles per hour and its only 4.2 :(

Oh well, maybe ill take up jogging instead :D
Its hot today - and im not entirely sure ill get time to hit the gym today. Ill try and fit it in but i have to go pickup my new bluetooth headset for the celly tonight as well.
By the time i get home i can see that ill be crashing hard.

On another note. Im getting up early again to put in more hours at work (too much to catch up on). So the radio alarm went off at 6am this morning, i hit the button and it didnt go off .. im like 'wtf?!' ... so i push it again .. and again.
By this time my husband was awake and i was pushing all the buttons at random trying to stop it.
I ended up just turning the volume down and thanking god i hadnt used the loud BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP one.

Snippet out of my day

Im working overtime at work so lovely air con.
getting up at 6.30 then straight to start work before 7am.
work till 2.30pm then pick up kids, make dinner, go to the gym.

Today at the gym was funny. A bunch of guys on the leg press crowding round trying to dare each other to do more and more weight.
2 of them managed 1 push on 200kg (440lb), the others didnt even wanna try.
So they moved off and i went up to it, took off 2 weights so it was my usual 160kg (352.7lb) and begun my workout. Their jaws dropped and i had to have a laugh at the look on their face. Was really funny.
I then went onto doing calf raises where you stand with your toes on a platform with weights on your shoulder and lift up onto tippy toes then down again. I did that with 126kg (277.7lb).
Did a bunch of other leg things - i dunno the name of them.
I usually sit on the treadmill to warm up for 20 mins and have it on a fast walk. Today i did a 5 minute run as well, and one of the gym instructors came up to me and said 'i can see why you usually walk rather than run' and i had to laugh. See my belly skin flops about, and it doesnt help that my pants fall down both because of that and because they are just a little big. So im running along with one hand grasping at my pants holding them up and the other swinging back and forth.

My calories are low today - only 1150 calories. Im not hungry at all and i dont have anything overly fatty or high cal in the house to bump them up. To be honest im a bit too tired also to be assed cooking. I ate well though.

Breaky: porridge (145kcal) with milk (100kcal)
Morning tea: Banana (95kcal)
Lunch: BLT (240)
Arvo snack: apple (80kcal)
Dinner: 2 franks and buns (280+288)

now for a snack then bed :D
