ok dialup is evil. the move went without a hitch, yay planning.
the new house is awesome, huge and spacious, very cold here though. Took a hours to figure out how to turn the heating on and then a few days to figure out how to turn it off, and the heated floors. so for the first couple days we used a ton of power and had a nice warm house!
Family has visited and my older bro put pressure on me for the first time about the kidney donation and DNA testing, and i had to say 'hang on ive spent a couple years on this, the least i can do is take time out to move house and job!'
i understand where hes comming from though, he was 2 weeks away from having it all and it got yanked from him. But me and my kids and husband come first sometimes here. hes not gonna die anytime soon :)
dial up is fun, firstly nobody sells modems anymore except adsl ones. so we are using an old apple ibook to dialup and share the internet.
Im reading a magazine whilst browsing the web. Click a link, read an article whilst waiting for it to load ... :)

Anyway, ive eaten horribly. tomorrow im back into exercising and better diets.

nah we wont be using dialup for long i hope. And we have the old ibook. but thanks anyway! i figure we have decent work connection anyway :)

ahh nothin beats stealing other peoples wireless! at the families place and they have dsl and im on the wireless, pages actually load here!

Taking the bike in for repairs tomorrow and then riding the tandem for a few days until its fixed. Found a good bike shop to hook up with and group to ride with. Cant wait for summer! bring on the training for Lake Taupo Challenge again!!!

Wishes, you are unbelievable!!!! I didnt think this is possible!!!! I just saw your pictures and I have NO WORDS! You re my inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are no words...

lol thanks :)

Well the new job started, so i can get online occasionally which is good!
Got told to turn up at 10am and i go home at 4pm .... so yeah country living is good!
Still cant get used to the 10am starts so got a key and turn up at 8:40am . The first day we even went to a cafe and had cooked bacon and eggs for breaky and still only made it to 9:20am :/
Eating went out the window totally with tons of takeaways until the fridge freezer turns up tomorrow. Gained about 6-8lb back again lol.
Took the bike too the shop for servicing and stuff so now i can get back onto that. Need to sign up at a gym also when i can find one.
So as of this weekend back eating decent food and cycling.

Kids are settled into school, with friends!
Oh and from big city to small town ... the newspaper has a list of all police and fire incendents. it takes up 1/4 of a small A4 page, and has about 5-10 items in each. Stuff like "so and so got arrested for drink driving" or "fire alarm went off at xxx and yyy, false alert", and dont forget "a BBQ table went missing from the local school, if anyone knows anything ...." etc.
Very amusing to me! The kids had school friends in the paper for various things, and everyone seems to know everyone here!
Its pretty cool, nice and safe mostly for the kids which is everything we wanted! And if we want big city thats only 15km away and a 10 min drive if that.
Unfortunatly i took up smoking over the move house again which is mega suck, so i plan on kicking that habit yet again in a week or two. It seems nobody smokes around here anyway, the sidewalks are spotless, i feel like a leper :O
Its probably a good thing though.
Need to catch up with friends who are local.

ok well if dialup on a 56k modem wasnt bad enough, it died ... the modem
now we have no internet at home at all.
We found a 14.4k modem in the cuboard ... but yeah thats not gonna happen. We have a deal in the works from wireless from some guy down the road. But basicly we were told we cant get adsl at all which is arse!

Diet is getting better thank god. 12 weeks until lake taupo cycle challenge of 160kms.

12 weeks to go before the 160km cycle challenge, time to get my ass into gear! OMG! :O

Will be riding an hour a day. My inner thigh muscle is giving me greif again on and off if i do too much - how long do these groin injurys take to heal ffs?

Anyway at least the cycling we do will be easy and light. just long! :/

are you going to be cycling to and from work?

160K challenge - that's gotta be tough on the butt.. .:D

I love those police blotters from small town papers...

heh i walk to work and did the long route and dropped off the kids on the way to 2 seperate schools and it still only took 40 minutes at a leasurely pace. The town is 4km from one side to the other , and work is in the middle and home on one side so 2-3km to work max.
Nah im gonna start riding in the morning with my daughter every day and do longer rides on weekends. gotta find out lights though first.

All I can say is WOW! I am amazed with your progress pictures. You look great...what a difference. Your hard work and dedication have payed off well! I'm new here, with 100 pounds to shed, and your pictures and posts make me believe it can be done. Thanks for sharing your outstanding results to inspire newbies like me.

:waving:Hi Liz
I just watched your YouTube WL video - and it is terrific! You come across sincerely and as an intelligent person who wants to share her (life saving) knowledge. This is not surprising, as you are definitely a down-to-earth gal who knows her stuff! Thank you for participating in this great forum and for freely sharing what you've learned with others on the WWW. I wish you continued success and many blessings as you get used to your new home and community.

Cheers:cheers2:

thanks guys!
well we have dialup at home - alas its still to slow to do much with.

With kids parties and new houses and shite i regained in a big way. back to 80kg which is arse!
Ive eaten chocolate puddings, ice cream, lollies etc,
Its been fun but yeah back onto eating more healthy stuff. Clothes dont fit so well lol.

hi, dont know how to make a new thread as im new!! im getting a treadmill tomorrow, i weigh 14 stone 7 - size 16/18 and want to get down to a size 12 by the end of the year, does anyone have a diet they can give me? would cutting down and running 5 days on treadmill be enough? thinking of doin 30 mins x

Hey wishes,

I'm glad the move went well. Weight/smoking/biking will get better as you settle into your "new" life. I alway find that any life transitions means weight gain and bad eating for me. I'm in one right now as well...weight is up just as I was getting close to my first goal. Sucks arse!

Here's to good things and tiny bodies in the near future!

so i joined up at the gym, made my hubby join too and my daughter got a gym membership also :)

The good thing is that they dont charge for the RPM classes here like my old gym and they hold them at decent times of the week! :D
So yeah 2-3 times a week the daughter and I will do RPM classes plus weights, and my hubby can do weights all other days of the week or when we are not cycling.
I started out well yesterday and then my daughter said 'oh its my birthday - can we have KFC doe dinner?' since we hadnt done anything for her birthday we did KFC - though i tried like a dog to talk her into something else but alas no go :)
KFC is the only take aways in town other than pizza round here. we can get McDs or BK if we travel 15 km to the next town though.

KFC?? yummy!! I havn't had that in forever!

How exciting that the whole family has a membership!! How's it going for you so far?
