Thoughts on The "300" Workout

Thoughts on The "300" Workout?

I'm looking for a new routine to keep myself from getting a plateau, and i was wondering what you guys think of this 300 workout as used by the actors training for the spartan roles in the film "300".

Bodybuilding.com - Jim Britain - LiftRite Episode #14: Celebrity Workouts!

My goals are to bulk up, and i'm currently following a split routine which i've been on for too long now.
The aim of this 300 workout is to complete it as quickly as possible, so does this mean that the benefits are likely to be endurance and cardio more than anything else? (Especially since the rep ranges are around 25 - 50 each time).

Maybe I'd be better with a normal full-body routine?

I did it once, and it seemed to me more of a endurance high volume workout rather than a strength and hypertrophy session.

And the 300 actors didn't exactly just do this workout, they did a lot of other stuff including heavy lifting and strongman days.

They actually didnt do this as a workout at all. This was a test they completed at the end of their entire training season.

That routine for Brad Pitt didnt even have any legs in it? If you're going for strength/size then you should do a routine based on that. This can be done as well, but I wouldnt do this every time.

Evo has been doing this recently. Whatever keeps you interested IMO.

Yeah. I was doing it on Fridays as something different. It was fun at first, but it started to get stale. So I took some of the concepts and changed them around a bit.

It did remind me how much I like doing EDT style workouts once or twice a week.
