Hollywood couldn't have wrote a better script for a game so dramatic !! wow !!

I'm still floating in the clouds. What. A. Game. Holy shit !!

^5 Stacy :)

Not on this side of the globe. (Pittsburgh) football (to me) is like soccer is to Manchester or Cricket is to Australia or World Cup sailing is to New Zealand.
Umm ... wtf? we have World Cup Sailing? :)

I think for the most part, over here, people are very uncaring in a way thats not uncaring, but that assumes you are smart enough to fix shit yourself or do it yourself, or too stupid so why bother helping :)
So people either Play the sport or dont bother at all (as in sit at home getting fat etc).
The people that do give a shit or care, are usually the more stupid and/or lazy, and then the REALLY stupid go back to not caring and playing sport :)

Either way, i think most of the country would rather be playing than watching! I could be wrong though :)

Congratulations on the anniversary. You might not be happy with your exact numbers this minute, but you lost sooo so much - and the vast majority of that has never looked like resurfacing. Losing it was a great achievement and maintaining is an even more terrific achievement.

OMG Steelers WON! That should float you down through another 10 or 20 lbs I reckon.

Yeah, it would be impossible to defend America's bountiful 'couch athlete' populous. It truly exist - and yesterday was their biggest holiday.

Anyway, I reckon I goofed. Probably 'America's Cup' is the grand daddy of all sailing and I know the Kiwi Nation has top-rate crewmen in the sport. Certainly not a very participatory 'sport' and factor in it's pretty much for the rich, well, it's never took its magical spell for us here, either. Though there is World Cup sailing, I guess I erred using it in the original post.

In the unlikely event you ever make a trip over here, I'll suggest refraining from calling football a 'silly sport', I'd hate to see your trip ruin because someone punched you in the ovaries :p

Well hello there. Welcome back, Kerry A :) Thanks for touching upon the 'it's not as bad as it seems'. Yes, you know me. I get cranky from time to time. And the last thing I want in this diary is me being one of the ones that keep re-posting wah's with a lack of effort. I'm never above setting a fire under my own ass.

Not giving it 100% has been frustrating for me. It doesn't seem to be acceptable to do 80 or even 90% however, you scrap against a valid point that the '90%' may have served me well enough to keep damage control in play. I'll take your pat on the back for its intended purpose and just say thanks :) Perspective is always great advice.

Ditto that about the game, holy shit was that bad ass! Congrats. :)

Yeah, seeing how the Cards out-played us most of the game, the penalties were running rampant at untimely intervals for both teams, I was pretty quite most of the game. I'm still reeling over that unbelievable catch. Just wow!!

Yeah. The outcome of that game was SWEET :)

Steve, Randy ... I actually made myself a celebratory salted Caesar ... with the vodka I keep in the freezer so it pours like syrup ... and proceeded to get hammered.

Yep. One drink was all it took to get me babbling away about nothing. Not that anybody actually noticed any difference other than the fact that when I walked, I wasn't able to do it with the same degree of precision as most people have come to expect from me :D

SWEET, indeed :)

So you really didn't have a 10.0 on the balance beam moment, eh :cheers2: Gawd, I'd kill for a one-drink date .:jealousy:. You do have a way making the word syrupy come alive, or did I do that on my own *shrugs*

I didn't really get hammered. I only had enough rum for 5 big drinks - or about 15 shots *yawns* To be honest, I was so transfixed with a deep intensity, I don't recall the drinking part much at all. It did catch up with me when I got home. That 'feeling just about right' buzz surfaced.

I'm still on an 'Iron City high'. The blogosphere is very alive with hatred and banter, and of course I can't refrain from engaging :reddevil:

I'm usually a "no drink" date :D

Yes. I do enjoy the tantalizing oral sensations of syrupy ;)

SYRUPY. It's such a subjective sensory stimulant, the mechanisms and characteristics of said stimulant having different thresholds for each person :reddevil:

Not sure how many times that vid popped up in my head today during my 90 minute walk. Several, I would think. Those 'nurses' were extremely memorable :)

It felt good, again, to get some quality walk time in today. Blessed with 40 degrees and a snow-free deck, me and the iPod made the most of it.

I'm dragging ass a little today due to staying up until 9am EST, allowing myself to get suckered in to watching the Australian Open. As fine a Grand Slam event as I ever saw - and worth the missed winks. I just didn't think it would last 5 sets and about 5 hours :/ If you ever feel like you've been sucking in discipline dept., watch superior athletes and absorb yourself a much-needed gut check. That being said, I woke back up at noon and got busy doing something for myself.

I stayed lean the last two days - foregoing the wine tasting fair - in preparation for the Super Bowl. I have a great February planned for myself, weather non-withstanding. If I'm to revisit Onederland, I'll need to stop hedging on 'weather' and aim my sights on my prize. I have roof over head, I have implements of exercise equipment. Hell, all a person needs is a floor and some ambition to convert it into weight loss. I'm not this fucking stupid. Time to strip myself of the Pampers with "I don't like my equipment" embossed on the ass.

The next calendar page turned will mark my 3 year anniversary, and quite frankly, my present weight is completely unacceptable. Time to jump over the retraction I endured. That's just a lame excuse. I can't have this. I refuse. My cupboards and fridge are exactly stocked just like day one. That's where I found my earlier success and here's where I'll find it again.

Yeah, I'm mad. Trust me, that's a good thing.

/rant

Time to get ready for the Super Bowl. I plan on killing the last of my rum today and then there will be no more. My last act of defiance. The food will be closely watched. I want to enjoy today under my own conditions and that's that. I probably can't come in under cals so let's just do this and get it over with.

I hope you all have a great day watching the Super Bowl with family and friends. Drive carefully if you're traveling.

and GO STEELERS !!

You have a great attitude sweetie and yer pushin' on through. :hurray:

I also look forward to my walks again.
It's really beautiful around here with all the ponds and pine trees so I need to get back out there!
NOTHIN' beats the feelin' of walkin' around and enjoying your surroundings in my opinion.
Especially when the sun is shinning and you get a natural/healthy charge!

- Have A Goal Reachin' Tuesday! -

hehe, that just makes me wanna cry, Stacy. Man, if I had that situation, I leave at sunrise and wouldn't stop until sunset. I mean it, too. Can I live in your garage? dog house? under a rock in the back yard?? hehe

My bro was in Dallas last week during the ice storm and laughed at all the wicked driving. He said he saw more donuts on the highway than a Krispy Kreme factory has.

I do miss my old steady hauls to Waxahachie and Point Comfort :(

Laughin' my ever-lovin' ass off!!! :biggrinjester:

It IS a freakin' mess around here when we get ice!
OMG..People act like it's the end of time.
Our local news people can be just as stupid!
Hubby and I laughed so hard at one idiot that was filming the icicles on road signs.
He then said, "Oh..we have some action guys..." <the camera panned to the right slowly>

It was a freakin' sand truck going over the bridge! LMAO! :biggrinjester:

For cryin' out loud..

They always give all our storms stupid names to..

Hubby and I came up with some of our own though that made us LOL..

E1 liked mine best which was the "1-day Icicle Bonanzza."

The whole day/night we heard sirens after sirens.
Texas just needs to shut-down and everyone needs ta stay inside when we get ice. :biggrinjester:

*****
Pack yer bags and come on over sweetie..We have an awesome futon you can sleep on. ;)

Son just got it for his b-day..We are workin' on makin' his room "cool."

It's a work in progress.

Here are some pics of our area and the park/pond I walk at:

I hadn't thought about my post possibly seeming to oppose your frustration. :)

Comparing where you are at now to two years ago, you have maintained a huge loss. Sure it could creep back, but you're addressing that. You're a big loss, long term maintainer. That's rare and it's pretty damn cool. :)

It didn't. I just write goofy shit from time to time. Perhaps an overstated agreement was intended on my behalf.

I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
She just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich.
