Well I'm glad to see there was a walking window - albeit small. I hope trail time is getting close - at least the calendar is heading towards the magic date.

Well, sounds like we hit the wall around the same time LOL:banghead:

Between the holidays and a bit of winter cabin fever I managed to put on a few pounds myself. I had gotten down to 204 (dressed weight) as my lowest. Currently I am at 215. Thanks to ice hockey twice a week and the treadmill I have kept it somewhat in check on the exercise side of the equation, but have really slipped on the eating side. I am now attempting to get that back under control and back on the right path.

Yes !! A walk indeed !! and today brought a fresh snow, wind chill of 4 degrees and yes, I walked again this morning :) I'm now huddled up with coffee and waiting for the NASCAR race to start; pretty much gonna veg the rest of the day.

If I had to wait on your weather, well, I'd be back over 300 lbs or something. A true warrior does battle conditions withstanding, eh ??

I was at 232 Mid-Jan (yeah, I know - super wtf !?!) Tuesday was my doctor appt for my 4 month check up but he canceled so I'll have no weigh-in :( I confidently will post I'm at 225 tops. I have a feeling it's less, actually. I'm more involved with the pattern and daily control than the number.

I've really turned up the wick best I can under the conditions. You know all to well how sucky this winter has been.

You know I'm pulling for ya, bro. We took a break, we didn't quit, right !?!!!!1

i think everyone put oin a few over xmas. you guys have the unfortunate problem that its also winter and harder to unload it. Here i gained and lost it within a month so it was all good :)

Perhaps we obtain a small amount sanity back by having a lil break - providing we don't get all cuckoo over the actual gain.

I guess I thought the 'warrior' mode would last forever. I was wrong. My worst enemy is too much time on my hands and factor in dumb store choices, yeah, a real recipe for temporary disaster.

I'm just happy to be back in the saddle again :)

Good morning, Randy. How are you this ugly snowy wintery Pennsylvanian Monday? I'm with you...bring on the biking weather. Oh wait, crap, does that mean I have to bike up that big hill again? ;-)
 
I have to agree 100% with you on the weather and wanting to swear, FINALLY we have had two days of sunshine in a row, WOW that's the most sun I think I've seen in 3 months around here, we have had more ice storms then I care to count. I'm done with winter, now for some color and sunshine! AHHHHHH makes me want to go out and bike or run, but it is still chilly.

So are you still biking??? are you holding steady on the weight loss?? I haven't been by in awhile so thought I would check in on you. Hope your day is an ass kicking one!!

You know, I grabbed a tumbler and loaded ice in it *clink clink* seeing you in here :) Sadly, I have no alcohol here anymore :( (and for good reasons) I settled for a Coke Zero straight up :toetap05:

No biking here for now, too shitty and snowy. Mid-April would probably be about as early as it'll happen - at least for the trails. I've totally been kicking ass after a ruff winter with my weight - which went up. I'm into walking on my deck daily, counting cals, and going back to what got me success. My big new kick is hitting the heavybag. A great sweat generator :)

I hate that I gained and love that I'm groovin' again. It's all good here.

Here's to our warm(er) days ahead !! Happy goaling, Bug !!

Amen brother!! it's good to read the up beat attitude in your voice and words. Winter is a hard time for everyone in my opinion to keep it off or at least to keep from gaining, so don't worry at all, I think I went up in Jan maybe 4 pounds, now it's going back down again, THANK GOSH! I hate to go to the gym when it's crap outside, I just have no umf! Now it's sunny and well it's still not above 50 but who gives a wolly wonker, at least it's not 30 right. LOL LOL Good for you getting out on the deck and doing your thang, I'm most proud of you!! :hurray:

Keep up the great work, and oh yeah!! TWO THUMBS on on a coke zero STRAIGHT UP! you did good my friend.

2.5 hour, multi-elevation walk today, I'm guessing approx. 5 miles. I'm sore :(

I'm on a hella streak for under 1800 cals a day, since Feb. 25th. No shit foods here at all. I'm weight loss ballin' :)

Stopped at the bike store and drooled on the seat of my new ride I'm picking on March 28th when he has his 'March Madness' sale.
 
I like the up beat attitude!! And a new seat, YEAH!! I can't believe your only busting 1800 calorie days, WOW that's such restrain, no wonder you've lost so much weight, your a go gettin machine!!

Beats the shit out of beat up attitude, eh ?? 1800 is about break even till I get rolling big again. Switching back to tons of catabolics for snacks will be the difference for me as far as getting weight back down.

Oh, and no more boozing helps plenty, also (mixed feelings about that)

I'm trying to justify spending 200.00 USD's more for this model when I can snag a Schwinn at Walmart and slide the mobnies back in my wallet. I had a lengthy chat with my racing buds who are serious mountain bikers and they assure me once I ride a quality bike, I'll never settle for less.

I guess it's like a 500.00 a night 'call girl' vs. 20.00 crack ho hooker. Both ride ok, but one makes you worrying, the other not so much. Peace of mind cost something.
