I'm still waiting for the pics Randy...as soon as you post them, I'll get my butt in gear and lose my last 15 lbs so I can post the bikini pics for ya. ;)
 
I just wanted to say congratulations, you've done an incredible thing. It's very motivating for me personally, I wish more people would take the steps necessary to better their lives as you have. :hug2: I'm really happy for you.

Yep, we do deserve a break once in awhile, mine was just longer than I had hoped and am comfortable with. I took about 8 weeks off where there was no loss. Which is OK I guess since I am close to my goal and am only looking to drop less than 20 more pounds. I did manage to maintain my weight for that time though (not counting vacation in Ocean City where I put on a few).

Let me know when you are heading up this way, we need to get together sometime.

Yep, I have been biking quite a bit and enjoying it.

Hi T2!! Looks like all is going well for you!! I've been taking a break from the forum. Was on vacation...went to Williamsburg,VA. Awesome. Been walking, etc. Keeping the weight off. Good luck with your job search!!

A most gracious thank you. At one point I was having a hard time with foruming. I lost my focus on what it was I was trying to do outside of my personal weight loss on here.

In a MSN convo, my dearest friend told me to let go of the thought of obliging myself in any other way other than telling your (my) story and let those decide what it means to them. You brought her wisdom full circle.

Thank you Lena :) I generate a great deal of energy from people keeping me in the game with their kind words, yours being one of them.

Amen Mechelle, good is exactly how I feel and here's why:

I tried on some clothes this morning for evaluation purposes in preparation of my weight loss pics.

I got into a "L" size T-shirt and 38 waist pants !! I wish I could say 100% good things about it but the misgivings I have about this size aren't even forum-worthy. I just now know that some serious fine-tuning is needed to this body but to actually fit into those sizes exceed anything my brain is willing to be negative about. It's kinda like finding a '68 Mustang GT in good condition and needs nothing more than a paint job but everything else is working well.

I'm super stoked right now, no one can feel what I'm feeling :)

So for now, I'm not going out on a shopping spree but little by little I'll start crossing over to my final size as the confidence increases and the fine-tuning pays off. What a glorious fucking day !!
 
LOL I am so glad you are happy! You are now where I have been. I lost the bulk and need to fine tune. Good way of putting it BTW! I am so happy for you! :)
 
How lovely that you have reached the stage of just needing a paint job!! :)

No negativity is needed to deal with the change to fine tuning and maintenance. I bet there are a few challenges though, and that you are up for them. I'm glad I came to this forum late enough to have your story to look to for my own greater understanding and encouragement.

Other people's success stories can sometimes be the missing piece that helps us find the essential faith in our own ability to change , and yours is a great example of that.
 
Man, just wanted to stop in and say. I read your first post, then skimmed some to the end. Big inspiration! If you can do it, with all the challenges you had to start with, theres no darn good reason I can't! Wait to go Trucker!
 
Happy "Large" day Trucker!

Aint it a wonderful feeling! Im still working on that coat of paint myself - but its getting there. Gotta make sure i try all the colours to get the one i like the best :D
